This place is terrific. The first time I came in thinking my bearings were going bad as I heard squeaking coming from a wheel. After rotating the tires and, obviously, refastening the hubcaps, they sent me on my way free of charge. It was just a loose hubcap. Last time, I brought my wifes vehicle in with a head gasket leak. They found the problem quickly and quoted me a good price. An old ancillary piece broke during the replacement of the head gasket seal. They tried to patch it, but it didnt work. They ordered a replacement on their own dime. A few days later, when the replacement came in, they discovered something was off with the timing belt tensioner. I prepared myself for the up-sell and, to my surprise, was told theyd take care of it for free since it was replaced just over a year ago at another location. I was offered a ride home and told, if desired, I could rent a car while my wifes was in the shop and theyd reimburse me for it. This place is unbelievable. Not only are the people extremely polite and friendly, but they understand the ROI of treating customers honestly and fairly. As long as we live nearby, this is where were taking our vehicles.

The attention was good and the guys were friendly, but I was not happy with the quality of brake service. I essentially paid for a brake job that I ended up having to fix. After service, on the way home the rear brakes screeched terribly. I returned 3 times in about 2 weeks to correct the issue. To their credit they spent about 30 minutes each visit and on the last visit the manager told me they replaced the shoes. The mechanic told me that sometimes new shoes and drums squeak for a few weeks and to just let them wear in. That really didnt sound logical to me but, I wanted to trust the guy. After another 2 weeks of noise I decided to take a look myself. Im not a trained mechanic but, Ive changed brakes before and with a brake diagram I found online the first issue I saw was the strut was not properly set in place on the right rear. I fixed and greased all the metal contacts again. Still noise. So I looked again and noticed the rim of the support plate had been bent, likely when someone pried off the drum. I straightened it back and the noise was gone.

I was visiting a friend who lives an hour away from me, I first stopped at Scotts auto service but they were booked up. I asked the guy there would he have someone else he could recommend for an oil change and tire rotation. He pointed me to DeKalb tire. James was awesome, I informed him I was going to see a movie and wouldnt be able to be reached. I told him if he saw anything else that the car needed up to $100.00 go ahead and service it. Came back to pick up my car James informed me that the nut that holds my tie rod end was missing ( Thanks cough-man tires) and that could have been a pretty bad situation. His guys re-threaded the tie rod end and replaced it with a nut, at no charge. Again I live an hour away from this place there are tons of auto tire shops around me, I will be making the drive out there any time I need service that they offer. They are great. ---Darren

Ive been a customer for the past two years for everything from oil changes to tires to brake service and more involved mechanical repairs for my familys Mustang and Sienna. As with any auto service center, communication between the staff and customer is key. Their quotes are fair, easy to understand, and accurate with thorough explanations on request and zero sales pressure. This locations team is honest and capable including one particularly skilled, personable mechanic named Aram. If you need help prioritizing needed services to fit within your budget then speak with Aram specifically for expert advice on whats most critical to repair and in what order. Having tried other shops in the area since moving in late-2011, I give my highest recommendation to this DeKalb Tire location.

Be aware that this place will recommend unwanted service and might even damage your car, always get a second opinion. I had a very bad experience took my car which was running fine needed oil change and wheel alignment, they recommend I need four tires and water pump replaced and I had brand new rear tires and I denied and picked up my car and now my car is leaking oil from bottom, which they damaged and I verified water pump which is fine and I dont need a replacement. I will never go there again very unethical business practice.

AMAZING SERVICE!!! My Daughter had a tire going flat on her way to school so at 6:45 am she pulled into the shop and waited for them to open at 7. James had the car in, removed the bolt in her tire, patched it and had her back on the road by 7:15 so she wouldnt be too late for class. Oh and by the way he did it for FREE! He told her to come back and get her oil changed after class. Great service! THANK YOU James

James and his team are great! I was originally referred to this location by my brother-in-law who had used them extensively in the past with excellent service and results. I now take all of my vehicles there for all of the maintenance and service. Never been disappointed. They have saved me money... time... reduced my stress when the truck(s) is/are not working as they should. Thanks James & Team DeKalb!

My wife walked in and handed them her keys and said, "I need new brakes." They came back after looking at it and told her she didnt need new brakes, just some minor adjustments. As a person that isnt very knowledgeable about cars I feel very comfortable going to see James and all of the people there. They are nice and friendly and most importantly do a good job for the right price.

These guys rock. They are honest, fair, and very easy to work with. When I was looking for tires, some of the larger chains could not or would not make the effort to get the tire I wanted; instead they tried to sell me a tire they had in stock. Dekalb tire was able to get the tires I wanted and install them on my schedule with zero stress. I would highly recommend them.

James is one of the nicest auto store managers you will ever meet. Has been great for my family including dealing with wife AND my 16 y.o. daughter in a very professional and honest way. Cannot say enough good things about this store. And their prices are competitive.

A friend recommended Dekalb tire after visiting them for a tire repair. I went in with a slow leaking tire and they had it fixed in record speed with phenomenal service at a great price. Ill be sold as a loyal customer for a long time to come.

They are looters. They tried to change my transmission fluid when it was already done at 10K miles before I dropped the car to them. Never drop off the car there. They will call u and say that you need to repair it and all on the phone.
