My experience with JG & Sons began in a respectful and positive manner, but ended in disappointment. I contacted the business on October 24 to schedule a move for either Oct. 27 or 28. Jim, the owner, said he could accommodate either date for $56 per hour if I rented a U-Haul truck. Since this was the least expensive option, I hired their services. Jim’s son – Thomas – and grandson – Rick – met us at the U-Haul. They were very accommodating and even drove the truck for us. During the move, Rick said, “I notice you have an iPhone 4” and asked my daughter and me whether the iPhone 4 was better than the iPhone 5. I thought nothing unusual about this at the time. They loaded everything we needed to move out of the home and unloaded at our storage location. When my 7 year old granddaughter came home, she wanted to play a game on her iPhone 4, which her mother gave to her after updating to a newer version. The phone was kept in one place – on the vanity table in the bedroom where Rick first asked me about the different versions. It was not there. I thought perhaps the phone was picked up in error while they were dismantling a bed in the room & called Jim to inquire. He asked his son & grandson – Thomas said he remembered seeing the iPhone, and both men said they did not take it. Well we have since completed our move, and to give them the benefit of the doubt, I thought maybe we would find it misplaced somewhere. We still have not found the iPhone, which was locked & not activated for anything other than games for a 7 year old. No cameras were in the room, but no one else entered our home from the time my granddaughter played with her phone on 10/27 & when she wanted to play with it on 10/28. Prior to this realization, I was prepared to give JG & Sons an excellent rating. Unfortunately, this incident soured the entire experience. If people trust you to enter their home & move their belongings, they should be able to trust that nothing in their home will go missing.

These guys are the best!!! I needed someone to help team lift a heavy washer/dryer combo up some narrow stairs into my house. JG&S sent out Derrick, who was more helpful and friendly than any of my "unavailable" friends would have been :). Fast forward to the end of my lease, Im in a bind yet again and need some movers at the last minute for a reasonable price. Guess who came through? JG&S. If you need someone to help you move, and dont wanna deal with the hassle of ridiculous fees and automated numbers, give these guys a call. Jim will most likely answer within the first few rings and make your moving experience easier than you couldve ever imagined!!!

We had the greatest experience with this company. I called the same day I needed help bc our truck from Budget being four hours late, had messed up my previous arrangements and help. I asked if they could meet me at 7 pm since we were so behind to move my entire 3 bedroom home. Im 7 months pregnant and have a four year old so I appreciated the flexibility so much. When they arrived, they even managed to get the truck up my very steep and narrow driveway. Badasses! I thought they were funny and very kind. I HIGHLY recommend this family run business!

The movers were a little bit late, but everything went perfectly after that. Rick, Derick, and Thomas handled my furniture with care, asked questions instead of assuming, and worked quickly. They had my 1 bedroom apartment moved into my new house within two hours. They even took the time to make sure that the boxes and furniture were all in the room that I wanted it to be in. I would highly recommend using this moving company!
