**Update Sunday July 12, 2015** Called Pep Boys Saturday afternoon before going in, as planned and promised with manager, but employee said that there were no mechanics on duty at the shop to give me my walk through, nor would one be available tomorrow, which was odd. I went to another auto body shop to get a free brake inspection. The pads, rotors, right brake hose, and right caliper (right and left according to perspective of driver) were new but the brake master cylinder cap was missing. I paid for a brake fluid exchange ( $62.50 for labor and $7.49 for Go BRAKE FLUID 32oz), so this is something that Pep Boys should have noticed or at least told me, if they werent the ones that lost it. The brake fluid had more than 300 ppm of copper according to the brake strip test. Im not going to demand another cap, fluid exchange, or even my "promised" walk through because John did apply coupons and a full refund for the brake job and Im tired of dealing with it. Overall, I think this is an okay shop with a good team, but they did make mistakes. Had it not been for the first two pricing and job mistakes, I wouldnt have second guessed every thing they said thereafter because they have such a nice and friendly team. If youre a young woman, I would definitely recommend that you thoroughly go over your receipt and get a second opinion from another mechanic, not just with this Pep Boys, but wherever you go, ESPECIALLY if you get the feeling that something may not be right. ** Update Tuesday July 7, 2015** I received a call from John this morning. He said the pricing mistake was due to newer employees, refunded me for a front brake package which was $179.99. I havent received the money yet, but I have a receipt via email. Still going back Saturday to have a walk through of what was done and John says if the screeching problem still persist, hell upgrade the pads to a premium grade at no additional cost. John wasnt upset or unfriendly about the matter and again, he has great customer service, but this has been quite an inconvenience. Will call corporate again to update the case and will update Google+ post Monday July 6, 2015 Polite staff with good customer service, but untrustworthy and disorganized. The first time I went in, I made an appointment to get a complimentary brake inspection. One of the mechanics,Gustavo, came out trying to charge me for an oil change despite the fact that I had just got one. He blamed the mistake on a glitch in the computer system. They took my car back in to do a more in depth brake check and recommended that Id get new pads and rotors after I came back from my road trip to Charlotte. I came back after my trip, but only to get new pads because Gustavo said my rotors looked almost new,but one was slightly warped. I left my car there to get serviced in the morning. Got a call back from the owner, John, and he said my primary problem was the left Caliper. We agreed to get the left caliper fixed for $470. I came back that evening to pick up the car, and it turns out, they charged me for rotors and pads in addition to the caliper and in total it was $546.01. I didnt complain because I thought at least my brakes will stop screeching when I come to a stop. However, the same exact problem that I had coming into the shop persist after I got the "work" done. I called them again today with no real resolution but plan on going back Saturday and will post an update. Ive also called corporate and got a complaint number, Ill post an update on my car and services Saturday.

I have used this Pep Boys shop for a couple of oil changes with a $19.99 coupon. I will be back again given the last two positive experiences and the convenience.. They arent the speediest people but the managers George and David are easy to talk to and friendly. They are also hands-on manager which I respect. From what I have observed, the technicians who worked on my car seemed methodical and careful in changing my oil. Fast is nice but seeing someone being methodical and careful is also a good thing. What I appreciate is that they have not tried "work me" or upsell me into stuff I dont need which is very typical with a lot of car shops. I hate being upsells to bogus stuff and they have not done that to me. The shop has free Wi-Fi which is nice to have while you wait. The seating area is small but that is just the way they designed the office/waiting area. I get the feeling that this shop tries to do right and avoid unnecessary drama and complaints. The shop seems to be thinly staffed at times but it has not been detrimental to me. I am proactive and typically call ahead of time to make sure they are not too busy. All in all, if you need an inexpensive oil change, get the coupon from their website, and then call ahead before showing up. They have other services they do but I cannot speak to that as my experience was confined to oil changes. They are worth giving a try.

Pep Boys Johns Creek is my new "go to" for car repairs and routine maintenance . They recently did some work for us including new brakes before a long road trip. This weekend we took the same car to another place for an oil change because we had a coupon. Well, this "other place" decided to suggest $450 of repairs that we needed to do. One of these repairs was a brake flush which seemed very fishy to me as we just replaced the brakes in this car in November. So I took the car back to Pep Boys to make sure that they had not overlooked items when we brought it to them for a full diagnostic before our trip. Lo and behold they called me back and told me that everything looked fine with the car. They even brought me into garage to show me the brake and steering fluids to show me they were perfect. Please please please be careful out there. There are establishments just looking to upsell or just looking at mileage recommendations and not asking questions about your vehicle. Had this been my sons car and not ours he may have approved these repairs just going on faith. Eric, Connor and Malcolm are all wonderful to work with and I trust them with my cars from now on. Great job Pep Boys!!!

Let me first say that I have never really had good experiences from Auto Services; whether that be GoodYear, Walmart, or JiffyLube. I have always been wary of bringing my car into the shop because well I am a woman, and young. However, this PepBoys gave me the respect and courtesy that Ive always wanted. I had came in because my engine was making some strange sounds, and before I could even explain the sounds, the manager called in a technician to come and listen to the car. Their workers are proactive and very attentive. They gave me the lowest estimate available for my parts and the labor. The dealership quoted me at double the price of PepBoys. Within 2 hours, my car was fixed! I was shocked. I am so frequently accustomed to leaving my car overnight for major repairs, but these men got me in and got me out! My car is in great condition and I could not be happier with the treatment of me and my property. I am blown away by the hospitality, and the efficiency of this shop. I will be coming to them for any other services I will need for my car from now on.
