Absolutely awful experience. I will never return. Tim Picard is a terrible manager and seems like just a non caring entry level employee. He didnt even initially bother to get up from kicking his feet up in the back office desk to come to the front counter. Unprofessional much? You will only get details on what was done from the mechanic. Forget about asking him because it is like pulling teeth. I asked why there was no detail on my invoice at all as to what was checked and he got very defensive as if I was a special case. "Well I can write it on there, all you had to do was ask" - Tim. Yes Tim, write it in purple crayon because typing and reprinting is hard. Lazy added to unprofessional. Decided to take it elsewhere based on the crappy service up front and also because he told me 3 hours labor to take apart the engine. The mechanic told me 6 hours later on and I realized it would have cost me so much money more than Tim initially said. How many hours labor in the end? How many parts would they charge? My car is dead, but why do I feel I dodged a bullet? Watch your wallet this place is not up front about anything and reading other reviews I see they have no idea how to fix cars and instead just try parts until it works again at your expense. I took in my car with a rattle under the hood and drove off with a check engine light and the car was stranded 2 blocks down the road blocking traffic on holcomb bridge. It was driving fine before with no lights, only a rattle noise. A few hours at Midas and you build a nighmare. I called Tim and he told me it wasnt his problem and he hung up because I was taking up his time. I had 4 guys help me push the car off Holcomb bridge and the car is there still parked in a plaza. I could have it towed back to Midas for using my insirance but as I said, I will never go back and Tim is the main reason. To the Owner of this of Midas, Tim is awful and he may seeminly solve your day to day problems but I am on my way to buy a new car and this Midas location has lost my business for good. He is losing you business in the long term.

Had my brakes installed by midas. 6 months later, they start screeching due to metal on metal friction. While on vacation in Florida, I had to take the car to Goodyear down the road from the condo as the noise was disconcerting. The guy at Goodyear analyzed the problem and told me that the wrong brake pads had been installed. When I called Midas about it and asked for some sort of compensation, Im being told that they dont go by other companys evaluation and that the brake pads were not the issue. When I show them the old brake pads which Goodyear placed in a box for me, they refer me to the general manager at the Jimmy Carter Location, Femi Talabi. He in Turn keeps stalling the situation and tells me every time I call, that they are still working on a resolution. Long story short, they are in the business of living on one-time customers, they dont believe in customer relations and solving a problem caused by them in an honorable and fair manner. I know, I will not be going back to either the pleasant Hill location nor the Jimmy Carter Location. This has been an experience that wont be forgotten so soon.

The only issue I have with this Midas is the guy with the horrible attitude that sit at the desk with his feet propped up like hes a sheriff. After noticing 2 long stratches that was not on my car when I dropped it off, I brought it to his attention. He immediately got defensive as if it was no way in possible it was done it his shop. He states he is not responsible for every customers scratches and a shopping cart couldve done. This man has poor customer service skills and should not be the front line if any organization. Its one thing to say Im not sure what happened but it is another thing to in so many words accuse the customer of lying about a concern. What makes things worse is I never showed signs of an attitude not did I ask for a discount. I paid what owed. I guess he was mad that I brought it to his attention. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN! I THINK HIS NAME IS TIM.

Liars, crooks, or morons. The air conditioning in my car stopped working so I took it here to be repaired. After working on my car for over three hours, they quoted me over $1,000 to change my compressor. I decided to get a second opinion before I spent that kind of money and Midas charged me $65 for a diagnosis. I then took my car to Freds Tires in Columbus, GA (my hometown) where they quickly solved the problem by replacing a $20 relay. So, this Midas is filled either with liars & crooks or with incompetent mechanics. Avoid this place (and go to Freds if you have the time for the drive)! P.S. while the mechanics at Midas were working on my car, the manager excused himself to the back office where Im pretty sure he was playing Call of Duty or some other shooting video game because all I heard was continuous gunfire.

I just wish there was a zero star option. Took my vehicle In due to the check engine light blinking. They charged me 750 dollars to replace the fuel pump. 10 days later (after barely driving the vehicle throughout the week) the vehicle is shaking and the check engine light is blinking again. When I took it back they had no good answer for me (said it was theft sensor and barely gave me the time of day) and could do zero work. I took the vehicle to another garage and they charged me 400 for a tune up. Turns out that is all it needed the entire time. So they basically charged me 750 dollars for work Im not even positive they really did. (Since my vehicle was worse than when I originally took it.) Ps they also said the pump would fix my fuel gauge from shifting up and down inaccurately. It didnt.

Basically they robbed me and have no accountability. If you call their corporate they send you to a third party call center that tells you they cant make the store do anything. The manager screwed me and I ended up leaving them my car , which I had just purchased for $1000. They could have said we dont want to work on your 20 year old car instead they gladly started guessing on what to do all while charging me for "diagnostics". They wanted $500 to tell me I had a short which is what I went there for. Basic decency would be to not charge me for guess work that didnt fix my car but they did and refused to change it. Bullies.

I have been bringing my cars here for years. Tim Picard is honest and tells you the truth about what you need done. I have never felt like I was nickel and dimed. They have taken real good care of my family cars over the years and I recommend them to anyone. Car maintenance is not a free lunch and they are not the cheapest nor the most expensive. However, they know how to work on your cars and keep them safe and running.
