This place used to be excellent when it was run by Noel and Tim. Now its managed by a stereotypical car mechanic/former car salesman who price gouges, named John. The front desk guy, Rob, is nice, but complacent with the shady dealings of the manager. The manager seems to believe that he is the car maintenance police and that he should scold customers for needing their vehicle repaired. The manager was in the lobby area talking about one of the employees named Josh who, according to the manager, doesnt do anything. Should he be speaking openly about office politics in front of customers? Not if he doesnt want it posted on Yelp. The manager quoted me $800 for an alternator replacement, which is twice the price others in the area quoted me. When I told him this, he said he could price match them because they were a chain. Very sketchy. Why would he not check this before he quoted me double? I asked for my old alternator so I could rebuild it and they said they couldnt give it to me because of a core charge. I get it, thats normal, but it certainly doesnt help my point of view. Theres a lot of whispering between the manager and front desk guy, which is fine, but does not give customers much confidence that they are honest. Anyway, they replaced my alternator and then my car over heated when I left. Very suspicious. Dont trust these people. UPDATE: After having my alternator replaced, I drove my car down the highway and it over heated. The mechanics left the cooling fans unplugged causing the temperature to sky rocket. I dont know why you would need to unplug the cooling fans to replace the alternator, but they did. I plugged the cooling fans back in, but then the alternator they gave me was defective and my battery died again! I had the car towed there again, only to get the warranty on the alternator and battery, and they replaced it again. Once again, they gave me a defective alternator. I had the car towed there a third time and now theyve had the car for three days with no updates on the cars condition. I was promised two phone calls so far with none. I just want my car back so I can take it somewhere else. Fortunately, I have a team of lawyers ready and waiting for their next move. Updates to follow. These people are crooks and incompetent. UPDATE: They ended up having the car for ten days only to give me back a non-starting car. Having it towed elsewhere. Throughout the repairs, there was no communication from them - I had to call them to find out the status. Saturday afternoon I was told it was done and they were test driving it right then. Monday morning I went to pick up the car and it didnt start. They claim oil leaks caused the starter and alternator to fail - could be true, but why was this not a part of their original diagnosis? I leave my car with them for ten days and all of a sudden there are oil leaks so bad that the car wont start. The mechanic and front desk guy, Rob, said that the car was never taken on a test drive, so they unwittingly confirmed that their manager is either a liar or incompetent. Very suspicious. I cant prove malice, but its ignorance at least. These guys can do an oil change or brake job. Their mechanics cant go much beyond that. Worst case scenario, they are tampering with cars to make more money on repairs.

Where do I start? First off, the front desk guy Rob has no customer service skills. I prepaid for 5 oil changes and had used 1 of the oil changes. I received a coupon in the mail for a free oil change and when I went to use it, Rob tried to give some lame reason why they couldnt take it. I insisted and he claimed to call corporate and they told him it was fine to use. My 3rd visit was the worst though! The 5-oil change prepaid pack comes with free tire rotation according to Adam, Rob however told me it was not included and that it would cost $20. I asked Adam in front of Rob and again Adam stated the rotation was included. When the car was finished I looked at the tires and they HAD NOT been rotated. I asked Rob and he claimed the technician simply forgot. Then Rob told me I owed $15 and when I asked what for he said it was for the tire rotation, again I politely told him that it was INCLUDED in the prepaid 5-pack oil change. They did the tire rotation and when I went outside my wife told me the mechanic opened the door to my car and hit my other car which was parked next to it. This was the straw that broke the camels back, I went inside and expressed my frustration to Rob and the mechanic. I was angry but respectful the entire time. Then as the the mechanic was walking inside I heard him call me a f***ing a**hole! THE NERVE!!! Needless to say I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. These people are not trustworthy AT ALL and Rob will try to nickel and dime you.

I really hate to leave this review but this experience has been a nightmare. My mom took her car to get the alternator fixed. Drove off with a punctured radiator. As a courtesy the owner, Chris, says hes going to refund her half the $505 charge so she could get a rental car. He ended up charging her instead. At this point were in $793. Chris was very nice about it and refunded her the original $505 and said it would post in 24 hours. We gave it a week and the refund never posted. I went to my bank and opened a fraud investigation but before I submitted the final paperwork I wanted to give them one more chance to make this right. My mom made another trip to Meineke Norcross, and again, Chris was super nice and ran the debit card through refunding $505 and provided the receipts. My mom was so proud to tell me she settled the issue and handed me the debit card receipt and said it would post in 24 hours. IT DIDNT. I take a look at the receipt and there is no authorization code. The credit card terminal was OFFLINE. Im actually impressed with this level of thievery and the ability to dupe a senior citizen so thoroughly. So, now Ill have the bank settle the issue and Chris was able to provide me with more evidence of his businesss fraud. Save yourself the time and find another mechanic. Yes, you will get an appointment quickly but its not worth it.

I own an antique British car, so needless to say I know my way around under the hood. I generally do my own car work, because "professionals" usually charge an arm and a leg for crappy work that they will not stand behind. I say usually, because there are some exceptions, and this place is one of them. On occasions where I do use a garage, I always bring my car here because they will show you what, if anything, is wrong, give honest recommendations on what needs to be fixed and what does not, and give you a quote which includes the breakdown of parts and labor. The garage is also well managed, with the manager being both competent and articulate - tough to find in the automotive world! They did not even try to pressure me into purchasing all the BS additional services when I get the oil changed. I highly recommend this Meineke.
