I moved to North Atlanta in mid 2009.I have a 2006 BMW X5 which I always take to German Car Repair due to good reviews I have read in google..I experienced good service initially. However, I experienced a slight arrogant attitude from the service personnel ( I would not name the service personnel). One example of incorrect and misleading quote is blue tooth integration with I phone 4S.Initially they said it could be done in less than 100 USD but then when I took the X5 and got it examined the revised the quote to 500 USD (approx) !! So, I dropped the idea of blue tooth as I do not want to invest in an X5 which I plan to sell anyway after may be an year. One other reason I have to give them 3 stars is appointment. When I call Wednesday morning to book an appointment for a simple oil change and top off brake fluid because RED color brake indicator is ON, they propose the availability for next week Tuesday. Then I request them if it is safe to drive because RED color brake indicator is ON in the console. Then they ask me to bring the vehicle to have a quick inspection clearly multiple times saying they cannot promise the service. So, I understand that they are try to accommodate me after asking twice and stressing the RED color light.Since I feel I am not getting a fair response after being with them for 2 years, I am taking my business however small it may be to a different service provider. While I agree that, they are good technicians, customer service is also important in your business because yours is a service business,.There are many good technicians out there who have also good customer service.I will go to them. I agree with Alan trying to contact me to know my side of the story.I appreciate the call. But as he mentioned I did not decline the service as there is no loaner vehicle.I fully explained to him my reason for refusal of service as stated clearly in my initial review. However, I would like to put this behind me in the interest of my vehicle and Alans forthcoming gesture of retaining a faithful customer. Thanks

I was a regular customer of German Car Repair Inc. for many years until I sold my 2001 330ci and purchased a new car that came with free services for the first 50k. I had my first free service at the dealership not very long ago and let me tell you how much I miss Alan and his team!! They spoiled me with years of honesty, integrity and quality workmanship! Hands down the only people I sincerely trust with my car whether old or new. It takes years to build a reputation and only 1 bad incident to ruin it. On every occasion I have found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. The mechanics really know their stuff and are passionate about the quality work they perform. The level of skill and knowledge with Alan and his team are second to none! With all the publicity nowadays of shops ripping people off, taking joy rides in customers cars, intentionally stressing or braking parts, etc.. Those worries are never a factor when visiting Alan and his team at German Car Repair Inc. They treat your car as you would expect when trusting it’s in good hands. I have recommended and will continue to recommend German Car Repair Inc. to friends, family, and coworkers because I believe in their business motto and work ethic, and have had only positive experiences since day 1.

FINALLY!! We have owned some type of BMW for well over 15 years and after years of always going BMW dealer for help and constantly being let down by poor and rude service (unless going straight to mgmt.). Over the years we had 2 wonderful service advisors at BMW and they too realized the let down of the dealership & left. We were very upset to yet have to start over again with another advisor. Then we heard about German Repair Car. We called and scheduled our BMW there for a much needed service; shocking to discover the person on the other end of the line was our previous advisor, Taylor! He still provides great service! Very responsive and communicates the same great way we loved before. Also, I love receiving the emailed quote/ diagnosis from the shop that lets me see everything that is suggested or needed rather than trying to write it all down etc. Also I have to add, when I dropped off my car I was in and out! One of My biggest issues with the dealer is many times I would be left in a waiting area for 45 mins to an hour when I already had an appt and advised I needed to be in/out because I was on lunch or before work schedule. Definitely recommend GCR!

I had took my 2000 M5 to German Car Repair in Roswell for an oil change I had won at a silent auction. When I checked the oil after about 1000 miles it was a quart and a half over filled and black with carbon contamination. I called the owner of the shop, Alan, to let him know about the issue. He swore that he had watched his guy drain the oil and change the filter so the problem must be in my engine. I made the WTF ever face, told Alan that I disagreed and changed the oil again myself as I normally do. I had not had any other discoloration or contamination issues before or since. While under the car I observed oil around the transmission bell housing. My rear main sell is new so my guess is that they did not fully drain the oil and the excess had been blowing out the seal. Hopefully the overfilling did not cause any real problems and the oil change was just a waste of $100 verse a few thousand. You get one chance to earn a new customer and one chance to make something right when it has been done wrong. This shop blew both opportunities. I would not return to them nor recommend them to anyone I know.

Ill try to be short. I own a 95 993 and Im real picky on who I entrust to do work on my baby. I was lucky enough meet and spark up a conversation with a gentleman who owns two. We both traded the names of shops we both use. Did a little research on "German Car Repair" and kept it in the back of my head. Fast forward I needed an oil change and new cv booth installed. My go to shop was backed up due to the Club Race at Road Atlanta. Soo.....I called GCR and they got me in by weeks end. From the moment Allen introduced himself I felt at ease. Wait it gets better. He gives me a short tour of his shop and introduces me to his 993 guru. Sorry I dont remember his name, my bad. They pointed a few things out that my other shop missed. They came up with a plan that worked for both of us. I though my car was in good running shape, they made it that much better. Thank you Allen and your awesome techs!

Clutch went out on my 87 Carrera. Called Alan to discuss. He went over estimated cost to repair. Had a couple of oil leaks that I also wanted to address. After Jerry (who did a great job on the repair) removed the engine and opened up the bell housing, Alan finalized the estimate. Alan also suggested that I come up to discuss a couple of other potential repairs since the engine was out of the car. Some sensors and the fuel line which were original and almost 30 years old were in need of replacement - pretty much shot. Alan pointed out a few more "either now or future items" since the engine was out. No high pressure, just honest suggestions and discussion. Got the car back and it runs GREAT - Jerry did a great job - everything repaired as discussed. Would highly recommend GCR especially for any air-cooled Porsche repairs.
