April 17th I went to Firestone #19844 on Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain, GA to have my cv axle replaced. April 25th I was driving and my car made a grinding, scraping, metallic noise and wouldnt move. It rolled backwards and I grabbed the e-brake before it slammed into a bus. I towed it home and had a mobile mechanic to come out and inspect my car, and he immediately saw that the cv axle wasnt installed properly. I called Firestone and they had it towed back. I couldnt even get out the issue without being interrupted - Why didnt you call us when it happened, Why didnt you have it towed here, etc. I didnt call because I didnt think it was the axle, I thought it was something else, since Id JUST had the axle put on and I am NOT a mechanic. Thats why I took my car to Firestone in the first place - If I was a mechanic Id have put it on myself. I had to pay for towing, Uber just to get to work, car rental and the mobile mechanic. Not to mention - I was late to work because of this crap. This has been a HUGE hassle in every single way possible and Ive spent nearly $600 out of pocket thanks to this place not putting the axle on correctly in the first place not to mention nearly $300 to have the passenger side axle installed. My car was towed back there and the lady told me a new axle was put on. However when I came to pick it up, the receipt said "Inspection" I asked wasnt there a new axle installed and she said no, it had been put back into place. SO, I was lied to!! I would like to point out that I record every conversation made on my phone with an app - and I have our conversation recorded where I asked "So the axle was replaced" and her response was "Yes". I would love it if someone OTHER THAN THIS LOCATION could get in touch with me because Id LOVE to be reimbursed for all the money that Ive had to spend because of shoddy work from that Firestone. I am appalled and insulted that I have been treated this way. No one is taking me seriously and myself or my child couldve gotten seriously injured had we rolled backwards into that bus!! Or even worse if the axle had fallen out while going faster than I was!! I am not a stupid person. I know what an axle is and I know how they are installed. I did not hit anything or run over anything and cause it to fall out. I wasnt even 1/2 mile from my house when this happened to my car. I have been taken advantage of because I am a female and they assume I dont know anything about cars. I wasnt pleased to have it insinuated that myself or the mobile mechanic had damaged the car. Really?

This location is completely garbage then again I need to say that about all Firestone Complete Car Care Centers in general. Well my problems began way back in 2012 when I purchased my old Ford Focus. Well one day my power steering pump gave out on me. I took a huge risk by bringing my car to FireStone and that was the biggest mistake in my life. After bringing my car to this location the mechanic told me that they had no idea what was the cause of my steering wheel to become difficult to turn. So the sales associate Rasheen (which now works at the South Dekalb Mall location) told me that they have to fix my car based on the process of elimination, which means theyll start off with the pump, then theyll work on the power steering pressure line and finally the racket pinion. After they returned my car after the vehicle inspection, my car began leaking power steering fluid like crazy! And keep in mind it only had the issue of being difficult to turn. I took it to another mechanic shop, and the mechanic told me that someone broke your reservior. So I contacted corporate and informed the district manager of my issue (Jason Rose) man they sent me some coupons and I took it to the Stone Mountain location to get fixed and dude they never could get the pump fix at all. The staff was incompetent, management was poor, the technicians had no idea what they was doing and they kept trying to up sell me like crazy on their credit cards and I thought it was observed. They would recommend things I did not even need such as new shocks and struts for my car. Terrible place to get your car service and trust me youll be back to get many things fixed on your car and sometimes even the same stuff fixed. Because I truly believe theyll sabotage your car so they can continue to have a steady source of revenue. And this is my god honest review!

Took my truck in for an alignment and to have my tires rebalance. I decided to pay for a lifetime alignment as well which was a mistake. They damage the rocker/undercarriage of my truck on the lift and did not tell me about it. I noticed it the next day when a friend was with me and he open the door and said my rocker was bulging out and that the side skirt on the door had been damage. I went back to firestone spoke with the manager who played games for 2 days straight. I filed a claim with im insurance and had my truck repaired. I later took it to a independent alignment shop to find out they didnt align my truck properly and that my tires were out of round meaning they couldnt be balance. So it was a tire defect, youd think Firestone would be able to tell you this but not this location. They will damage your vehicle and not do the work you pay for. Dont go here unless you want your vehicle damaged and work not perform. I never did receive a call from this district manager that supposedly had to come out to look at the damage. Avoid this place.

I usually have great service. They are always friendly and professional. My grievance is time consideration. I was told my service would take roughly 2 hours, however it took 5 hrs. Actually, Im not sure what time my car was ready because NO ONE called me to inform me that my vehicle was ready for pick up. After the 4 hour mark, I called to see what time my vehicle would be ready and was told another 45 min - 1 hr. I decided to just go to the store after another 1.5 hrs passed, only to see my car parked ready for pick up. When I brought this to their attention, there was no remorse on their behalf. I just received a careless "sorry." This may seem minute, but time is important and consideration of it is courteous and good customer service.

Went to get oil changed. Must note, at the time I arrived there were no cars being serviced. I walked to store after waiting a while when I returned, I was called to counter and it was suggested that I replace two tires plus my front brakes. (I dont know how long he was waiting to tell me this nor why he didnt call me) However, I agreed to replacing two tires. A $50 initial charger turned $300. After 3hrs my car was finally released to me and it seemed to be worse off then when I first turned it in. It now has a fierce rubbing feel and sound. Was planning to ride out of town and now thanks to firestone that trip has been canceled.
