10 yrs of aggravation and suffering from a laid back lagging company. Charter by far has the worse service Ive ever paid for. Poor quality service and product. Over the years I tough it out with my phone dropping calls, my internet rebooting, and my TV picture wigging out. I switched my cable to Directv a yr ago, and never once have to call them about service issues. Im so sick and tired of calling Charter that I gave up and tough out the problems. I was having constant interrupted service during Christmas week, 2 weeks in January I called them because the problem was still there. The technician said there was a major problem in the area that week and it wouldnt do me no good if Id call then. Customer service said they detected problems with my line when I called in January. Yet they charged me for a service call.. The technician said I needed a new more powerful router that cost around $170, but after he left, my old router was perfect again. He noted my account that it was the router and not the area outage. I am ready to switch from their internet and phone. Ive had it with Charter!!!!

After 10 yrs of service I am still having the same problems and they WILL not help me fix them. I remarried and my last name changed. My ex-husband had the account under his name, including the online account information. In order to change my name I have to physically go to an office and show my documents. NO other company I have dealth with has this silly requirement. I have been able to mail in copies or fax them. Why do I have to physically take time out of my day to go during their business hours to do this? AND I cannot change any online account information. None of it. And when I asked what they can do....nothing. But they will take ANYONEs credit card to make a payment. They have no requirements for that. My current husband was able to give his credit card information and they were just fine with that. Why cant we have more providers to choose from at least?? They are horrible and give way too much red tape to do what should be simple things.

The is the worst cable company I have ever dealt with. I called the Customer Service Reps to have a cable line removed from my home and it turned out that I would have better luck winning the lottery before this happens. I had this issue since 9-1-08 and here it is currently 10-20-08 and I still do not have this issue taken care of. Everytime I schedule an appointment to have something done, the repairman would arrive and do nothing. They would always say that they are not hired as a representative for charter, but for an independent contractor and nothing would be done. This is a horrible company for making the customer happy. I can not believe they have been open for this long. If Comcast service was in my area, I would definitely switch providers. Do not activate internet, telephone, or cable television with Charter. They are a huge rip off!!!

This company consistently increase their prices for inoperable services. Internet gets slower in order to make people upgrade and pay more for more speed, telephone services interferes with my alarm system, and their so called "digital cable is better than the old standard cable" freezes on and off. This happens on nice clear sunny days and nights! WOW! Many times it will freeze for over 15 minutes and when it FINALLY unfreezes, the movement of the lips of the people on t.v. does not match with what I am hearing! I will probably come out better with satellite dish companies, since I have to go through this drama paying high prices for non-quality services!!! They TRULY need to stop advertising on t.v. as if they are the best because they are certainly NOT practicing what they preach!!! AVOID CHARTER IF YOU HAVE OTHER OPTIONS!!!

AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!! First I had Charter a couple of years ago and the internet/telephone went out EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! I switched and after my contract with another provider was up I decided to give them another try. Well, the technician came out and turned on the cable. It was $90 for 8 rooms. I paid the technician cash (my mistake apparently) because he STOLE OUR MONEY!!!! I got a bill for the installation and called customer service to explain what happened. They didnt have any records of it being paid so I went into the office and the lady showed me a copy of my receipt. Where it read payment received was a BIG FAT $0!!!! Needless to say, this infuriated me. Because I cant prove I paid because it was cash, this guy gets to continue going into others homes and steal.

Spectrum SUCKS!!!!!!! I had criticisms of Comcast when I was their customer, little did I know what a great product and services they provided me. Spectrum offers less quality, less access, less service and less overall product satisfaction for double or triple the cost. I have inquired and begged Comcast for their services, but unfotunately and to my great disappointment they do not offer services in McDonough GA. If it werent for the temperamental nature of dishes Id jump ship, but Im told that with the slightest weather disturbance, programming is interrupted. My only wish for Sectrum is that they go out of business so that Comcast can offer their serves in my area. I gave a rating of one star, because I was unable to give a negative rating.

Charter shouldnt be allowed to call themselves a cable company. Unfortunately, they are the only option we have, but we are seriously considering switching to Dish. First of all, every other time I go to watch OnDemand, the box freezes. When you get to OnDemand, they have the poorest selection I have ever seen. For example, How to Get Away with Murder Episode 1, 2, and 4 were available, but not episode 3. WHO DOES THAT??? It takes them WEEKS to get shows up OnDemand, while Comcast would literally have it the next day. I cant believe we are paying for such crap. iF YOU HAVE ANOTHER OPTION - even if the other option is a digital converter box - CHOOSE THE OTHER OPTION. We are not even going to talk about the customer service. WHAT a JOKE.

My equipment suffered damage due to an outage. A tech was scheduled 3 days consecutively, however no one showed up or even bothered to call. They sent a tech to fix my neighbors service but did not send one to fix mine. In addition, the tech that was next door did not assist me because he was not scheduled to provide service for my home. How ridiculous is this. I contacted a supervisor that claimed he will get me a dispatch who in turn offered to send someone out the next evening. I even asked to have someone just drive by and leave me a box so I can hook it up myself. Needless to say no box, no tech, no service. Night 3 cannot get anything done because no tech availalbe to bring a Modem. Horrible Business Service.

Me and my family have been dealing with Charter for almost a week. First they tell us that the previous home owners have service and that if we can not contact them to return equipment our service would not be connected. After going back and fourth we finally get a date to have install just for the service technician to decide he would install cable wherever he chose, but not in the master bedroom. On what planet have they recruited the rude customer service agents in the offices and then to also have techs that only care about how many installs they get a day. If Comcast was in our area I would not have worried about it. THE SERVICE IS AWEFUL !!
