Horrible install left old line hanging instead of running new drop. I had to run new cable into my office, tech would have used old wire if I hadnt and yes I paid for install. Modem started acting up an hr after tech left. Tech came out next day, I explained the modem kept loosing signal and when I gave him the wifi pass word he couldnt even put it in his phone right couldnt get connected, so he called the hub and rold them I forgot my password? and they reset my modem. It worked for an hour and went out, and I delt with this for 2 weeks cause of busy work schedule. I finally called customer service and they said I could go by office and get new modem, told me they were open till 6. The website evens says open till 6. I got to office at 5:05 and some rude women told me they were closed and couldnt help me even tho there were trucks, activity, people in the office and hrs posted on the door ..open till 6pm... Am I on candid camera? Is this some find of horrible customer service nightmare I am to live day after day the last 2 weeks since I called Mediacom.? I am absolutely at a loss..should I wait for another unexperienced tech to come to my house and tell me I dont know my password when clearly there is a service issue? Mediacom obviously has no idea what customer service entails or they just dont care, or both. My advice? Call anybody else or do without Internet or TV before you call Mediacom in Charleston, Il.
Service sucks I have been on the phone my whole lunch break been transferred to 6 people hung up for Times online Mediacom really sucks I paid over $100 for my service for it to freeze up not be able to use the internet and all they can tell you if you can come in and get a new box b*******
I have called tech support in the evening multiple multiple times and have NEVER been satisfied. they can not trouble shoot. their only answer is to send out a tech person in 2-3 days or to send a new remote. They are horrible and they can not fluently speak English. BAD BAD service
Didnt show up on time for installation. They never have appointments when you need it like what type of service is this they need to hire more technicians or something because it takes weeks for them to get you scheduled they dont offer next day service like most cable networks do.
An outage after a storm is fairly standard. What is not standard, is my internet being out the day after a storm in another part of the country, when it was fine during the storm and after. But the day after that, the net is down.
My installer Jim in Mattoon, IL on Thursday July 7, 2017 was by far the most knoweldgeable home service technician Ive ever encountered. Executives look out! This young man is 100%
Have made 3 attempts to get a call back re: poor signal from Mediacom using their automated "well call you back" service. They havent called back.
Internet goes out and what should be an easy fix takes hours. Cant talk to anyone but automated crap.Complete ignorance. Get it together!! Wow!
Absolutely HATE Mediacom. I dont even have it set up yet because no one showed up for installation. So upset with this company.
Total garbage. Internet will go down intermittently either all day or if youre lucky, just a few house late at night.
horrible service, slow techs, bad online/telephone support. I advise to use ANYONE other than these asshats.
