Worst is not even the word to described it...Got 2 DVR that I pay extra for every month, during a power outage on 07/19 when electric power came on, Both stop working. Called it in on a 07/20 and was told that order will be place for technician to come not until 07/25 between 8-12. I took a half day off from work but no one showed up. Called the office back only to be told initially that someone cancelled the order which was later change to " it was scheduled for 07/24. I explained to the guy that order was for that day(7/25) and why should I call if i cancel nor wait for someone to show up. He then got the soonest order for same day from 1-5 meaning I have then to take a full day off from work. I stressed to him that my 2 DVR needs a replacement/ fixing. Came 4:30, guy showed up with the basic box stating it was not placed in the order so I ended up with just 1 basic box and he told me he is working on weekend and will put in the order for the needed 2 DVR. He gave me a schedule 1-5 pm 07/30. I went to the Elburn office on 07/27 to pay my bill and I reminded the lady in the office. she did not find the order but was able to track the technician who confirmed my story. So the lady said it was already scheduled for 07/30. Come 07/30 at 5 pm, no one showed up so I called. I got a reply that there was no order for my schedule. Very disappointed, I can not afford to missed work, I requested a late service but was told they can only do 1-5 pm. So I ended up taking the weekend schedule 08/05 between 8-12. Another 1 week of no service ( total 2 weeks) To all who subscribed to this company we are not fortunate as we dont have no option. I wish we have more choices of what cable company to go too.As to the management , I hope you do a better job in taking care of your customer and dont give them a run around or hire someone who is competent in placing order and technician who will do what they promise.

Mediacom SUCKS. Not much more to say than that. There plans are WAY OVERPRICED and they give you such CRAPPY SERVICE for a high price. The internet doesnt work long enough to load a roblox game on my new $3000 PC. Also the speed is ok for the first year of the contract but then they throttle it down for the next 2 years and you have to pay $$$$$$$$$$ to move to a different internet provider. The PHONE SERVICE SUCKS as it can rarely make calls without cutting off the connection. THE TV SERVICE SUCKS because its down 75% of the time. OVERALL MEDIACOM SUCKS "Mediacom SUCKS"

Their billing process makes absolutely no sense, whatsoever. I have 2 houses with Mediacom service. One house has; landline phone, "regular" Internet, 2 HDMI boxes, 3 tiny boxes. BILL= $128.63 a month. The other house has; ONE HDMI box (antique), 1 tiny box, and "regular internet". BILL= $168.79 a month. Both are on "AUTOPAY", and assumed the larger price was for the house with the most equipment. WTF? Cancelling.

All I have to say is this...the customer service at the elburn location is absolutely awful! She was rude and impatient. Im glad I never have to deal with this company again...however the people i have spoken to over the phone were nothing but helpful and helped me with everything I had questions about...if your going to deal with the public you should probably not act like jerk when you are with a customer face to face.

LOVE IT!!! Had "AT&Ts Uverse and Direct TV - paid $300/month and it was terrible...6mbs download speed...awful. Hesitated switching to Mediacom because of the bad reviews but finally did and AM SO HAPPY I SWITCHED! Download speeds well above 100mbs! Love the TV interface! Customer Service and the Installer were great! Now paying under $100/month! VERY SATISFIED!!!

I hate hate hate calling them on the phone. Its the worst. They never seem to know whats going on. However if you tweet them instead, theyre so much more helpful. I was able to have someone come out to fix my Internet problems on a Sunday just by tweeting them and them diagnosing it. Regardless I wouldnt use them if I had another choice in the area but I dont.

This is seriously the WORST network ever. Charter is better and even they are bad. I dont recommended this at all. I would rather not have internet than have Mediacom. HOW IS THIS A COMPANY? HOW IS IT STILL IN BUSINESS? Dont ever choose this. They have bad customer service, bad network service, and they are extremely hard to understand language wise.

The absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. We have had this service for a month and its out almost every night. Its way slower than they advertise. You only talk to a robot. I have no idea how they stay in business, probably all the cancellation and service fees they throw on you. Save your time and pay more money for better service!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Their professionalism is so repulsive. Outages daily and I wouldnt mind if it was for a dollar a day, but the price is stupid in comparison with real ISP. Horrible service and customer service is just as bad. Either work on your flaws or get out of the business.

Just an terrible company. I received a huge price increase after 2 years. Called up and rep flat out said, nope, no packages cheaper for you. Im canceling and going back to direct tv and att. Rep had the attitude that I should go ahead, he did not care.

I bought my own modem, yet they charged me for a year for a rental charge! The internet service can be spotty. Their phone system sucks! And there is always a long wait for tech support! This company sucks. They are the only high speed option in the area.

Went to return equipment, front desk lady was incredibly rude (Elburn location). Internet service itself was not good, always had poor connection and was constantly calling to clear up problems. Also is extremely expensive. Never would recommend it.

When the towns kids get home from school they all jump online and there is no/extremely poor connection for about 2 hours. The cable flickers and freezes almost daily and sometimes stays off for the entire day such as today. Mediacom is not good

Tech support is horrible. I have been having nothing but trouble with my internet. The Tech guys that came to house told me to buy my own modem and router. I did 300 bucks later and they cant provision the new modem ...so still no internet

Save your money, I signed up for the 500mbps internet package two months ago and Im still waiting on getting the speeds I pay for. I am lucky if I get 50mbps and that is after they have been out to the house six times.

Nothing but lies, TV interruption, internet constantly down. And its the only service available in neighborhood, yet all other neighborhoods can get other providers. This company is worthless and wont resolve problems

Horrible service. Techs out numerous times. Wifi died out every night over the course of a 6 month period. Had to reset modem periodically. Frequent service outages and hard to get in touch with a real person.
