I wish Id checked other reviews before hiring Concierge. I used them at the suggestion of a friend and like other people whove posted here, I had a nightmare of an experience. In fact, this was among my worst consumer experiences ever. 1. The movers were friendly but seemingly inexperienced. My cherry wood bookcase was totally damaged upon arrival at new place. Big chunks of wood missing. Also, I was told theyd bring the necessary tools (in this case, a drill) to disassemble and reassemble my platform bed. Not true, so my bed is in pieces in the bedroom. Lucky for me, I had no other large pieces of furniture. 2. Was quoted one price, which Concierge later denied. They also denied ever telling me the movers would bring the necessary tools. 3. Was not presented with paperwork until after the move. Surprise! 4. When I insisted on paying the price formerly agreed on, they called the police in an attempt to bully me into paying. The police thought it was absurd too, but explained that they were obligated to respond to every call. 5. Concierge refunded me the incorrect amount after initially overcharging me for an unauthorized amount. 6. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Chicago for the first time in my life because this experience was so unbelievably awful. I assumed company leadership would be more responsible and reasonable than the manager I had dealt with. Wrong! I received a response on BBB that was filled with false claims, such as that they provided three movers (there were two); that I refused to sign the paperwork when movers arrived; and that the police were called because the employees feared I would start a physical altercation with them. As though a 20-something year old woman is going to start a fight with 2 grown men. Laughable! But Concierge, apparently, is serious about being ridiculous. I would not be surprised if they attempt to discredit this response in some way. Do yourself a favor and stay away at all costs.

Concierge did an outstanding job moving my 1 BR apartment in a high rise into a 2 BR in a high rise when my fiance and I moved in together. I had to move on a very popular day in June and I had the hardest time finding a company to accommodate my limited elevator hours. Concierge was able to do that without a problem. I only had 1.5 hours to move out of my apartment and then another hour to move into the new one. They handled that with no problem. The driver even called me an hour prior to my reserved time and told me they could be early if the elevator became available. Unfortunately it was not, but they offered to bring me coffee while we waited! :-) I had one piece of sentimental wood furniture and they took utmost care moving it, along with everything else. When we arrived at my new apartment, my fiances cross country moving truck had just arrived over 1 hour early! I was freaking out bc I did not want to go overtime and now 2 moving companies had to use 1 elevator. The concierge movers acted extremely professionally and not only finished moving my belongings in time, but STARTED HELPING THE OTHER COMPANY FINISH THE JOB. I was so impressed I tipped them double. They could have just left when they finished my stuff, but they stuck around for the entire allotted time until both mine and my fiances furniture was moved in. So impressed.... I will use them again for any move I make in the city. I really cant think of a single negative thing about my experience with Concierge. Thank you!

We used Concierge Movers this past weekend on a very busy day in Chicago (St. Patricks Day celebrations) and they were fantastic. Sean and John were quick and efficient movers who paid excellent care to our belongings. Everything was wrapped properly and protected without us having to ask. They had a great sense of humor, were resourceful and made the stress of moving much easier. They listened to what we wanted and offered great advice. I would definitely request them the next time I need to move. The only complaint I have is that our initial estimate was way off. Our estimation was that the move would take 4-5 hours. I dont think that the person who made our reservation took in account this was a suburb to city move with two pick up locations (one being a 3rd floor walk up) on a busy Saturday and it ended up taking 7 hours. John and Sean were very efficient and moving the entire day so I think the mistake was in the estimate, not their work. All in all it was a great experience and rate was very competitive. I would definitely use them again.

We moved yesterday and had a great experience with the Concierge Moving crew. They first helped with packing a couple weeks ago. They showed up on time, they were fast, and efficient. Yesterday, they arrived with a 26ft truck and were there almost 30 minutes earlier to secure the parking spot in front of the house. The three staff worked hard and fast to move our 3 bd apartment and office, helped with wrapping, brought free wardrobes and helped pack the closets, and executed all of our instructions. Upon unloading, they listened carefully to where we wanted everything to be placed and we didnt need to repeat things several times. They even had some useful suggestions. They were always professional and extra polite even at the end of the long day. We bought them lunch and they barely stopped to eat. The estimated time was 5-7 hours and it took them 8, so not much more (especially considering the huge amount of stuff we have!) I definitely recommend them.

This is by far the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. David Romanoff - the owner and serial entrepreneur of many poor companies throughout the Chicagoland area - will deliver a perfect salesman pitch into selecting his services. I have a recorded conversation where he adamantly boasts about his insurance to seal the deal... AFTER the move I have stolen items, extensive damage, and the owner refuses to fix it with his great insurance policy. I should have looked at the reviews on this website...I would have noticed that Matt Barnes, a 5 star reviewer here, is also a business associate of his and most likely did not use the concierge services. I will not use this company again.

I found Concierge Moving Services to be friendly and efficient. I moved out of my West Loop apartment to the suburbs in July of 2013. Four months later, due to unruly neighbors, I was forced to move again. This moving company was so great the first time around, I used them again. I had a two man crew that wrapped all my furniture and had it loaded onto the truck in under an hour (for a one bedroom apartment). The entire job took under three hours and made moving a piece of cake. They were great the second time around as well! I will definitely continue to use them in the future when I move.

Concierge Moving delivered as expected. The two movers I scheduled worked quickly and efficiently but I do not own a lot of stuff. They were as friendly as I expected. I was most satisfied with the companys communication. Every time I contacted anyone I received a response within a couple hours, at most. Unfortunately, a leg to my couch was lost during the move. The movers claimed it must have been left at my old apartment, bit it wasnt. I understand a small item is easy to misplace but couch legs are pretty important.
