I had a fantastic experience with the Professionals handling my recent March move in Chicago. Ill make this quick and easy: - This was the best ratio of hourly rate to good reviews that I could find for Chicago moving companies. Cheaper services were rated worse, and comparably rated services were all more expensive. Other services I got quotes from also had higher prices for weekend moves (and I moved on a Friday); the Professionals had one consistent hourly rate, through the weekend. - While I thought my initial quote was a little high (4.5 hours), the Professionals completed my move in 3 hours. They showed up on the earlier side of my large afternoon appointment window and got to work right away. They were quick and efficient. I paid significantly less than my quote! - It snowed the day before my move; my apartments alley and the streets we drove on were a mess, and this didnt cause any serious problems or delays. Moving myself in this snowy disaster of a city would have been a nightmare, but it was no problem for The Professionals. - For the most part, my furniture was handled with care, shrink-wrapped where requested (and some additional items were wrapped at no extra charge), and moved to/from where I wanted. Some items were disassembled and re-assembled for me quickly, including my bed. Nothing was broken, ripped, etc. - They put down pads by each entryway and kept both apartments and clean as possible while moving in and out - which was a big accomplishment considering the slush and snow. - My ONLY complaint is admittedly minor: I did not watch very closely as one of my pieces of furniture was re-assembled in another room. A few days later, I went to sort everything out and realized that one of the legs on this piece was put on backwards. I ended up needing to order tools to fix this issue myself. It was obviously a careless mistake and one that didnt affect me too much, but I wish they had re-assembled this item properly so I didnt have to deal with it later. To be fair, I also could have been more diligent about checking on this while they worked. - Also, they dont accept checks or credit cards, so be prepared with the few hundred bucks cash in advance! Overall, the Professionals saved me countless hours of stress and exhaustion - I never plan on moving myself again and would use the Professionals again in a heartbeat.

If you moving, there is only one mover you will want to use and they are The Professionals! I worry about everything and moving is one of the most stressful things you can do. We have all had bad experiences with movers. Fragile stuff is broken. The movers cause damage while bringing boxes and furniture into your new home, etc. The Professionals lived up to their name in every way!! They treated all of my furniture and boxes like they were newborn babies. They were extraordinarily careful when setting down boxes and placing furniture exactly where we wanted it. They were as careful as surgeons the entire time. They were aware what was inside each box and were careful to stack them so that nothing would get hurt. Every tiny detail is attended to with the thoughtfulness you would never expect from movers. They were also quick and efficient. I have a large vinyl record collection and I wanted to move them myself, but I just did not have the time. I dreaded having movers move them. I worried that boxes of records would end up under heavy boxes and get broken. The Professionals were so careful with them-as they were with everything-that all of the records made it in perfect condition. Our all glass lamps made it in perfect condition. The Professionals movers had me check their truck at the end of the move to show me that all of the boxes were off the truck and moved into my new home. Still, I was going through boxes and freaked out-I had not found all of my records and called the customer service person Karmin to find out if maybe a box was still in the truck-even though I had checked the truck after the move myself! Karmin was great. She got on the case right away! I told Karmin that I still had boxes to unload and I probably had the records, but did not want to wait too long just in case. Karmin checked and said there were no boxes on the truck and that they check the trucks every night. I found the records in a box that I had not yet opened. Did I call Karmin to let her know I found the records? No, I did not. I had my stuff and was satisfied. A few weeks later Karmin called me to make sure I found my records. Wow! They attend to every detail and do whatever it takes to make sure the customer is happy. You can stop your search for movers right now! You want The Professionals!!

I wasnt moving far -- only about a half mile away -- but I just didnt have the time to do this move myself. This was my first time using movers, and I asked everyone I knew for advice. I got one of two responses: the first response is someone giving their personal horror story about movers – how they showed up hours late, or came understaffed, or broke their most cherished possessions, etc. I heard many of those stories about various moving companies in the Chicagoland area and elsewhere. The other response: get The Professionals. It was uncanny the number of people who independently steered me in their direction, and I am glad that I listened. Moving is a stressful and time-consuming event no matter how well it goes, but The Professionals made everything on their end go extremely smoothly. I had a team of three movers: Omar, Lucio, and Valentin, and I was impressed how as soon as they arrived, they began hauling things out of my apartment and into the truck. They were aware that they charge by the hour – all moving companies do – and they worked extremely hard to make sure that we didn’t pay for any longer than we had to. Not only did they work quickly, but they also worked efficiently. They packed the truck like expert Tetris-players, knowing exactly how to load our furniture and boxes to make the most of the space, and did not miss a beat when helping us do the things we forgot to do to prepare for the move, like disassemble some pieces of furniture or wrap up fragile items in plastic and blankets. They were ready to go as soon as they got there: they had all their materials ready to go, and each one knew exactly what to do -- no need for discussion or waiting for orders, each mover knew what to do and how to do it. As a result, everything happened exactly as we wanted and needed it to. There was a grand total of zero things broken or missing, and considering how much stuff we had to move, I couldnt have asked for a faster experience. All three movers were courteous and respectful – they are named The Professionals for a reason, and in all respects they lived up to their name.

Perfect moving experience. Im recommending these guys to everyone I know. They communicated with us every step of the way, including during the move. Extremely careful and capable movers. They moved our heaviest and biggest furniture with no problem, even when they had to take everything down our flight of stairs that has a 90 degree landing and a low ceiling. We asked them to remove shoes when moving into our new home. It was winter, 10 degrees and lots of snow on the ground. To help speed up the move, they requested to keep their shoes on, but we covered the carpet and flooring with protective paper/plastic film. The amazing thing was that they shoveled and even swept the walkway from their truck to our front door, so there was no snow on the sidewalk or front step or driveway. It was clean and dry so their shoes would never get wet or dirty from the snow. They also laid down furniture pads outside and inside to keep their shoes dry and clean. Our carpet and flooring were in perfect shape when they were done. One of the guys was carrying a dresser and hit the wall with the corner. It made a small 1" dent. It didnt even get to bare drywall, you could still see the paint on the dent in the wall. Even though it was so small, they still gave me the option of filing a claim with the main office and having someone come out to assess and repair it! I took care of it myself, but Ive never had movers that were that careful and concerned about my stuff and my home. They were very fast. They arrived about 20 minutes early. They work by the hour, but you dont have to worry about them milking the clock. They finished earlier than the estimate. They gave the option of helping us unpack, move the furniture around if needed, and took the time to place everything exactly where we wanted. I felt very comfortable having them handle all of our belongings. We did tip the movers. I never used movers before so I wasnt sure if youre supposed to. They gave us a very competitive quote and I felt they deserved every dollar they got. I had no problem giving them a little extra.
