If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The people are VERY rude and dont care about you once you have paid them. They refuse to assist me on any sort of resolution and act as if the damage is my fault. They destroyed a majority of my large items such as a $4000 bed and some large furniture. Most of my boxes were well packed but that didnt stop this company from completely destroying all the ones with fragile written on them. The boxes appear to be dropped, punched, and battered past any competent level in which a moving company should operate. The company was booked through National Moving as a subcontractor. Also I was forced to assist in the unloading of my stuff since they only sent one guy in flip flops! Why even pay someone if I had to do the work myself? Little items were tacked on in cost as the move progressed. They also charged me on the day of the move $0.50 per cubic foot more than the binding estimate but threatened to toss my stuff on the curb if I didnt agree. I wish I would have taken them up on their offer... Beware!!!!

This company should have zero stars. I was involved in an interstate move from Chicago to New York City. Upon receiving the binding estimate, I inquired about a line item for a Shuttle Service Fee. Dan Smith, the Relocation Consultant, asked me to confirm with my building that an 18-wheeler can fit on the street. Not only did I confirm this, but Dan also confirmed with the dispatcher that I would not need this. He then updated the Binding Estimate to remove the fee. Great! Right? Wrong. The movers called me to tell me they would be arriving and I needed to pay the Shuttle Service Fee or they would not unload my items. Even after showing them the printed copy of the email, the movers held my goods hostage until I paid the fee... in cash. After this, I made repeated emails, calls, voicemails to Mid Moving to no response. I finally got through to the Office Manager who would not issue a refund. Bad business practice, Mid Moving. Despite 100% payment of the Binding Estimate and the documentation I furnished, you did not issue the refund.

Mid movers where hired as sub contractors. The broker provided what appeared to be reasonable quote, upon closer look weights were dishonest, for example 450 lbs for a queen bed and box spring. upon arrival Mid Movers insisted on using cubic feet instead of pounds wanting to double our price. National said they would call and let them know the contract was for pounds. They never called. contractor took goods and just like national did return calls. June 22nd early afternoon I received a call from a cell phone and they said they would be here between 12-4 pm June 23. At 4pm I was informed 7pm, at 7 pm they did not answer the phone. Multiple items where broken and they started a claim and again stopped returning calls.

I have used Mid Moving once before and was satisfied. I called again and even with the few problems I encountered (none of which had to do with a moving company, per say) they bent over backwards to make my move an easy one. This time Im actually getting around to writing you guys a review… never too late, right? : ) Thank you so much for a redeeming moving experience which has forever altered my opinion of all movers, and all moving companies. Mid moving, you ROCK.

I moved over 900 miles away with these guys and they didnt break a thing and their communication with me was excellent. Best of all, no surprise charges/fees.
