I havent read other reviews, but this is my experience. When we first started looking for ways to store our "stuff," we tried three different places that were like pods, bring you containers that you fill, they pick them up and store them and bring them to your new house, Im sure everyone knows what Im talking about. Each of these companies have different size containers, deliver fees, storage fees etc., but I was shocked by the price. So, we decide to call storage mart elgin because we had used them About 10 years ago. I was surprised to find out that they had large units available at a much better price. I reserved them right away, came here to put on locks and sign some paperwork. This facility is clean and the manager Brian is the most helpful person. Monthly payments are extremely easy. I would definitely do a storage unit again.

Found this facility by searching online to shop around for best prices for my needs. Website was user friendly and provided the details needed without calling. Went to StorageMart in person where I met Brian. I explained what my budget and my storage needs were, within a matter of minutes he had two options for me. We did a brief walk through to see both storage options. I ended up renting that unit before leaving. Overall, StorageMart had a competitive rate and rental special that blew the price of my old facility out of the water. Here is why I give them five stars. * Great Customer Service (this is a biggie for me) * Easy and accessible unit when needed * Affordable * Clean Facility with climate control * Professional and knowledgeable staff

Abhorrent Customer Service - The place is clean and climate controlled which is nice. However - When I initially rented a year ago I pre - payed with a credit card and received a small discount. Last month with my year ending I went into the office and asked if I could do the same thing. They told me "probably not" and they would check with "corporate" and get back to me. Nobody ever did - Instead they locked me out on the day my rent was due. I discovered this on July 4th, when nobody is there. They have a good location and they have a clean space, so if you can tolerate completely incompetent, inept, unresponsive customer service and being locked-out as an initial form of communication, its OK I guess.

I am so happy here I actually have 2 units--one for business and one for personal items. Brian is always extremely helpful and nice. I have just recently moved into a larger unit and Brian made the transition smooth, easy and fast! I recently moved my business storage unit from the national chain with the orange sign. Over there I experienced the exact opposite of what I get here. Over there the overall property was dirty and the people in the office could have cared less about me and my needs. Here the property is always very clean and Brian is always very helpful. I feel very safe entering my unit at all hours.

A friend of mine is moving to Illinois and asked me to look at storage options for him. Brian went above and beyond in helping me. He showed me multiple units and answered all my questions--even after I told him my friend wouldnt be here until September. What a pleasant change from the other storage locations I looked at. The other locations gave me a pamphlet and told me to have my friend come in (and they seemed very put out to even do that.) Brian treated me like a treasured customer, that alone would make me suggest that everyone rent here. The property and units are very clean and well kept up.

Thank you Brian and Rafael from the bottom of my heart. Due to lifes never-ending changing circumstances, I have been a returning customer for about 8 years. Every single time I returned I have been met with exceptional kindness and compassion. No exceptions. I have been coming back to only one Storage Mart location (Rt 59 & Lake Street, Elgin IL) because it provided the one and only familiar surrounding for me. I located Storage Mart just down the street from me. I needed a storage unit same day, easy access to it, and for a reasonable monthly price. Brian, the store manager was able to get me exactly what I needed. With his help, I was able to protect all my valuable items and know that it is protected. After a few months, I needed to upgrade my storage unit to a bigger size and Brian was able to help me do that flawlessly. I was so happy that he was able to do that, that I recommended Storage Mart to my friend. Who later decided to get a storage unit as well.

I called first and spoke with Emil to confirm with him the hours and how to change a lock (I lost the original keys). He was very polite and to the point. When I showed up about an hour later, he remembered my call and was ready to complete the paperwork and replace the lock. He was very professional. He got the job done and assisted me in replacing the lock. The office, lot and the buildings - inside and out - were all very clean and well-kept. Thank you, Emil for your assistance.

This is an excellent storage facility, the staff is very courteous and care about their customers. The units are clean seem very secure, and they have very good rates. I have been a customer for 7 months and recently had to move into a bigger unit. Brian and his staff made this very easy, and got us a unit in the same building to make our transfer more convenient. They also gave me plenty of time to move out of the old unit at no extra cost. Thanks Storagemart of Elgin.

The current manager Brian Everett is extremely helpful if you need help with renting a unit and is always professional and understanding to your needs. I wanted to thank Rafael! He really helped me get my unit. He was a pleasure to talk to over the phone and in person. He even ensured the unit was clean before I put my belongings in it. Brian (Manager) stopped by to check on me and see if I needed anything. Both of them were perfect gentlemen. The facility was easy to get to, clean and secure. Very glad I chose this facility! I would highly recommend this storage facility.

The main office was clean and offered a variety of storage and moving supplies. The store manager was helpful and curtious. From my research, compared to competitors, Storage-Mart had the lowest prices, offered the same size units, and had better availability. I was able to rent a unit and eventually cancel the unit with ease and without hassell. I would recommend Storage-Mart to anyone looking for some extra storage space.
