Called these guys to remove a cartridge that I had chewed up pretty bad in my tub faucet. (strictly from seeing "good reviews" and them being local plumbers). I had the cartridge purchased from Just Faucet for my Kohler unit. (I was trying to get it done myself, after all it is just a cartridge). J&S sent couple of guys the same day (Fast service, I give them that)-- They came in and told me it was the wrong size cartridge and will come back when I have the right one -- CHARGED me $98 for 2 minute service. (that was fine since they had to come in - I was OK with that) I went back to Just Faucets and told them the plumbers said this was the wrong size, and first thing the guy asked who did you hire? He said Kohler doesnt make cartridge bigger than this. And, he took out one of his set up and showed me that i have in my hand is indeed the right one. So I called J&S back said, look I have the right part, they said well have someone come in Tomorrow (keep in mind my faucet been leaking bad for over the weekend). Jim came in today (he is a nice guy-- no hard feelings for this guy, just following orders -- I am also a field service engineer so I know how hes feeling)... tried to get the old cartridge loose/remove with a pipe wrench and couldnt do it. Suggest I replace or get a new faucet. Charged me another $98. My thing is -- they made a mistake first time they came in by saying I had the wrong cartridge and made me run back to the store and back, while dealing with leaky faucet over the weekend--- If they hadnt made that MISTAKE--they couldve tried and figured they couldnt remove the cartridge that first day...INSTEAD they came back and charged me another $98 while DOING NOTHING for me. I just paid them almost $200 for nothing. While I try to get the 2nd $98 charge removed (since it was their mistake), theyre boss (Ed) started arguing with me for the service charge. So I gave the 98 plus a "$2" tip and hope I NEVER see these guys again!!! Instead of owning up to their mistake----arguing with customer. NO customer service.... and hes the boss of the company. (I see big future here) __I only saw good reviews here mostly and thats why I went with these guys... So I am very confused here. So I plead everyone to do reviews, good or bad, help others!!! This past weekend my pipes froze due to the severe weather. I discovered this at 3pm. I called Roto Rooter, they gave me a late window of 6-10pm. In the meantime the trickle of water seen is now free flowing into my basement. Short story Roto Rooter never showed up. So next day I frantically call around. So many people charging just to show up from 49-200 bucks. I finally discovered J&S, who didnt charge a fee for showing up. They gave me a short window, and kept me in the loop if anything changed. I want to thank Keith, for being so professional, and knowing how to fix the problems he ran into. He even offered to shovel my snow. I am so grateful for finally getting a professional that was quick and efficient, Even with the problems he ran into he wasnt at my home longer than 2 hours. I would recommend this company to anyone.

They exceeded my expectations in every way and provided excellent and responsive customer service from start to finish. They provided me a quote over the phone which many plumbing companies wont do. They even provide free in-home estimates. They sent someone out on a Sunday for no additional charge and Matt was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was friendly and personable and thoroughly answered all my questions. He was obviously very knowledgeable about his field and you could tell he enjoyed his work and took pride in doing a great job. I couldnt have asked for a better plumbing experience and will definitely call them again in the future when the need arises.

J&S plumbing was the third company I called and the only one that responded. We called Sunday morning, they told me someone would call back in ten minutes and they did. I was told they would be out within the hour and they were. Saturday night I was in a panic ,water backing up everywhere. By ten AM Sunday morning I was doing my laundry. Great response time, affordable and the clean-up was complete. Matt was informed, well spoken and polite. Thanks for being a company that lives up to its advertised claims. Our main sewer line needed rodding. It seems to back up every other year from tree roots. This job requires a big heavy machine that would probably cost at least $100 to rent for a few hours and dealing with raw sewage. We have had this done by several different contractors over the years, but I have to give the highest praise to the servicemen of J&S. I cant remember their names, but they were polite, quick, clean, careful, informative and reasonably priced.

Fast to respond. Weve used them many times. Even had emergencies on holidays and they were very accommodating. They are not the cheapest but every technician weve had has been very professional and extremely knowledgeable. They dont try to oversell you on anything and do a great job explaining things to non-handy people like myself and my husband. I would trust them with any plumbing issue.

We just had J&S Plumbing come for a tuneup visit, rodding our sewer main from the outside cleanout. Such a wonderful, trustworthy company. We have been with 2 other sewer companies in the past 12 years, and are so sorry that we did not use J&S Plumbing from the beginning. This is our second time having them come (once every 2 years for maintenance). Extremely pleased with this company!

Had a bad experience with this company! Beware! They decided to put a clean out in my drain. They never consulted me were to have it. After jack hammering a hole in the floor it was to late. After consulting another plumber they could of put the clean out 3 feet over out of the way in the office. BAD DECISION ON THERE PART! NEVER WILL I CALL THEM BACK!!!

J&S Plumbing has been taking care of our plumbing needs for at least 15 years now. They have always done a great job for us no matter how big or small. We would recommend them highly to anyone because their prices are always fair and reasonable and theyve shown up very quickly in all of our emergency situations throughout the years!

Does not even deserve one star! Claims 24 hour emergency service. Advised water line in Refrigerator is leaking, kitchen and basement all flooded. Need to go to work. J & S advised cannot come out to help until later. However it was an emergency. Did not care. Does not provide emergency service. Do not recommend!

Had a leak in the toilet seal that was leaking water into the basement. Matt and another guy (didnt catch his name) came in and immediately new what the problem was and how to fix it. They explained how everything worked with the seal so I knew exactly what was being done. Will definitely do business again.
