I must say that I really felt saved by Extra Space Storage. I am from Oklahoma and my son attends college in Lake Forest which to my surprise is close to Highland Park. Of course being 18, my son isnt the most responsible, so we were in a crunch for a place to store his school items for the summer. I made a blind call to Extra Space Storage and crossed my fingers that it would be OK once I drove to Highland Park. I was actually amazed at how clean (spotless) the office area was (and even mentioned it to the employeel) and how nice and friendly the employee was. She was SO helpful and walked me through the complex, showed me the unit BEFORE taking my money and wasting my time. I have never been to a complex as nice. In Oklahoma, you drive in and stand in the weather to get to your unit. It was raining outside and I was dreading having to unload in the rain. I was shocked that I could actually drive my car into the building which has air conditioning and heating. The security at Extra Space Storage is above and beyond any expectations I had. And the carts were a blessing as I have a bad back. I appreciate the staff, the cleanliness, the security and all the little things that Extra Space Storage has to offer. I will definitely be back next year to store my sons belongings. And will post a sign in his room to let others know just how satisfied we are. I forgot to tell you about the prices. I couldnt find anyone with a better price in the area. I had expected to have to pay much more. Thank you Extra Storage Space for making my hectic life so much easier!

The storage facility is exceptionally clean and "climate controlled" actually means comfortable, rather than "not freezing and not boiling." Everything works well and there are always enough carts. The manager was outstandingly friendly and helpful, urging me to a smaller unit that would serve my needs (and it did!) rather than the larger more expensive unit I was leaning towards. That being said, its expensive. For the most part, though, you get what you pay for - manager lives on site and keeps a close eye on things, an employee is always about to assist and for security. It bothers me that the corporation requires you to purchase their insurance, even though Im fully insured through my renters insurance, adding at least another $10/month to the cost. Thats my only complaint. Regarding the local staff and facility, all outstanding!

My husband and I have been renting 1-2 storage spaces here for almost 3 1/2 years. The management has changed over once in the time since we have been there, but the service has always been excellent: friendly, helpful, and responsive to questions/concerns. In addition, the facility itself is well-lit, safe, and very clean. Because it is climate-controlled, we have stored musical instruments there (piano, guitars) with no worries. It is so secure that if you login to the facility/elevator using the code for one of your units, and then unlock/open the door of your second unit, an alarm goes off (to signify that a non-authorized user might be present). As a woman, I feel safe walking around the facility alone, whenever I stop by to add/remove something from my unit. Highly recommended.

This is the only place to rent a storage space in Highland Park. The facility is centrally located right off of 41 and Deerfield Road. The staff are terrific. They are professional, friendly, and courteous. They are always looking for ways to help. Their goal is to make your experience an 11 on a scale of 1-10. The facility is clean and secure. I have always felt safe in the building regardless of whether I am there at 6 AM or 10 PM. The building and drive aisles are clean and free of dirt or trash. The bathroom is always sparkling. I have rented here for a number of years and expect to be here for a number more. I recently upgraded to a larger unit (my fifth move) and Barb made the process smooth and easy. If you need a storage this is the only place to rent.

I rented a space from Extra Space Storage for 5 years for my business. It was the best decision I could have made! The facility is clean, well lighted, easy to get to...I had international shipments arrive to the office, they placed them in my unit for me. I had clients pick-up from the office, the staff was always super helpful to my clients and made sure the items were secure behind their counter until the pick-up happened. Kathleen and the rest of the crew showed complete attention to all of my requests...and I had a lot. Paying a bit extra for the drive lane was well worth it!! I would absolutely recommend using Extra Space Storage in Highland Park!! A great business asset!

This storage facility has exactly met my needs during this relocation period. Management personnel (Ali & Jordan) displays by far the most courtesy and professional business attitude of all I have met and done business with at Extra Space Storage over the past 12 to 15 years. Alis truly dedicated to customer satisfaction and growing the brands business. Her tact and attentiveness to as well as solving customers individual storage situations will be a driving force in assuring repeat business not only for the current location, but, Im sure for other locations as customers recall the service provided by her. My rating is definitely greater than 5 stars.

Extra Space Storage Highland Park was absolutely wonderful. It was very conveniently located. The staff were always helpful and courteous whenever I stopped in. We always were able to get a cart - now this is very important. I also felt that our belongings were safe. The security system seemed top notch. And the unit and entire facility were very clean. I couldnt have done better at any other storage facility. Great job. And - now I am so happy my home renovation is complete and all that stuff put away. Thank you Extra Space Storage Highland Park - and thank you Robin!

Ive been renting here for almost 2 years. The staff were helpful and professional in getting set up, and have been available when needed. The space is clean and easily accessible, and there are wheeled carts near the drive in bay. Lighting for the bin is adequate, though not bright. Access is easy and adequately secure. It has been very convienient for me. The rent has gone up a little annually, and the initial discount for paying ahead annually has not been available after the first year, which was a disappointment, but it still seems like a reasonable value.

This place worked out great for my short term storage needs. I used Extra Space Storage when I moved from one house and had a two week gap before I could move into the other. The place is easy to get to and well situated in the Highland Park/Deerfield area. I rented 2 units. They are indoors, temperature controlled and easy to access from 6a - 10p. It seemed very safe both for me and my things, The staff is super friendly and helpful too. I definitely recommend this place for storage needs.
