Took my car in, back in June of 2016. Bought in rear brake pads for both tires and rotors, Had to order them online and ship them to my house. Was gonna do the work myself but found out my caliber was shot as well. Took it to them with all the parts. Had the Napa. Auto parts bring the two back calibers I bought delivered to there. They did the work so I thought.... The drivers side was done 100%, the passenger side rotor was replaced, only know cause it was shiny new. Didnt think anything would be wrong, but the brake started to sound rough, and brake light started coming on. My wife had an emergency cesarean on the 16th, my son is in the nicu in Rockford. Took my wife to McHenry to get check out yesterday, the brake was smelling bad so I check..... But the break was completely worn away, and my rotor is black. Took it in and spoke to Andy at the desk, he pulled up my info said he would take a look. Jacob came out I asked him to take a look cause it was obviously done wrong, he looked and said ya thats bad. He was gonna bring it in to get looked at, so I asked was it gonna be free? He said let me get it in and takes look. I said its gonna be free right? Then Matt rushes out and starts getting in my face, telling me he doesnt like my attitude. I try to explain my wife situation, matt says I dont care. And I tell him u guys did the work wrong its gonna be free, Matt throws the keys at my wife and say leave his not gonna deal with me and rushes back to the shop, and starts acting like the receipt they had in their binders is the only one and my wife calls the police. I walk in the main building and walk around the desk and talk to the lady in the back, get a copy of my receipt. The work is gonna be free one way or another cause its under the warranty for shops doing the work but omg never going here again. The Matt guy acts like a junky and they seem to take advantage of women who come in without their men.

DO NOT GO HERE! Customer service sucks, and for a tire and wheel company, they cant even to that right. I went here about a month ago to get an opinion on my custom wheels and tires. They truck was shaking, and the wheels had 13-28oz of wheels weights on the wheels from Schaumburg Toyota balancing the wheels. My mechanic brother says 0-6oz is ideal! The tech at Auto Tech Center was helpful that day I went in. He found the the wheels were severely bent (wobbling back and forth about .5 - 1 inch). I watched it myself in the shop. I also asked him to remount the worst wheel again for me, to make sure we get the same result. We did and took video of it. After viewing the video, my brother mentioned it looks like the tech didnt mount the wheel in the balancer correctly. I took his advice, and kept it as a possibility. I complained to the wheel company. They mentioned, it might be on the balancer wrong, but they will take the wheels back anyway. Just out of curiosity, I bring it to Discount Tire in Round Lake, IL. They laughed at the amount of weights on the wheels and rebalanced it, mentioned the wheels are fine. Now I really felt like a retard complaining the the wheel company. Went back to Auto Tech about a week ago, explained the situation, and got the response back from the person behind the desk, "You want a refund from us just for checking something out?", and then disconcerting pssst at the end of his sentence!!! Deep breath, "Yes I want my money back.", I replied. "You failed to do your job correctly". He explained hell contact his manager and call me back. That was a week ago today, with no call or voicemail. Hence, this review. If I treated my clients like this, I would have been out of the job a long time ago. DO NOT GO HERE. Had a coupon - 20$ for an oil change & tire rotation... total steal. Called and made an appointment, though when I arrived, I dont think they truly had one for me. I informed them that I had to be in and out, hence the appointment, to get my son from preschool. I was promised a 45min turn around - this was around 9:45am - walked down to Walgreens to kill some time and came back about 10:05 to find that my car was done and my tires HAD been rotated. Woah. Never had such quick turn around before in my life. I drove a good 15mins to get here because the coupon saved me 15$ compared to other shops and Ill be sure to return! Bottom line: quick turn around, nice reception, promised time met (or sooner!). Def recommend THOUGH the interior of my drivers door was dirty from the tech - not so cool on a brand new car.

I had a great experience when i brought my Subaru here to get 4 new tires. I used to live in McHenry but now live in Chicago and still made the trip all the way up just to go here. Their prices were cheaper than anything near me but most importantly their customer service is outstanding. I have never had a bad experience here and they didnt disappoint this time either. The tires they put on ride great and the alignment was well needed. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for new tires and plan on bringing my other car back shortly to get new tires as well.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience of my life. There was a simple problem that should have been resolved very easily. Instead i was cursed at over the phone by there sales associate and told that he would be waiting for me when i get there to pay! I tried to contact the owner over the matter but he wont respond to my messages. My advice to you is to stay far away because if there ends up being any kind of issue they have absolutely no idea how to deal with a Paying Customer. Also the owner obviously doesnt care enough to even respond to a phone call.

Very unprofessional, to new front tires pulled to the right. Tech said its within specs so they swapped left to right and they pulled harder to the left.His only suggestion was to put the new tires in rear to break them in. What?!?!?!? Then he said he would see what he could do under warranty, again What ?!?!?!? tires were only 4 days old and they pulled from day 1, all this and it took 1:45 to come to this conclusion even though i had a 10:00 appointment. Never again, going to crystal lake to see if they can fix the McHenrys store mess.

These guys are just fantastic! Ive brought my car there for tires, oil changes and even my lawn tractor tires to get fixed. I just recently was having a chirping issue with my front brakes and, since I had the brake job done there in 2014 (this is 2016) and needed an oil change/tire rotation, I brought the car in there. They took apart my brakes cleaned and lubed the parts NO CHARGE!!! I will ALWAYS bring my car to Auto Tech in McHenry! I highly recommend them!
