**See edit at bottom!** Ive waited three months to post this review, just because I wanted to make sure about the dishonesty before I said something bad. I came here to get an oil change, but 20 minutes into it they told me that they couldnt change the filter because the cap had a chip in it. I went out to go look, and the salesman put the torque wrench on the cap and tried to twist it, but dropped it on the ground. He looked at me and said, "See?" It would be $60 to replace the oil cap. I was trying to figure out what to do when a customer came up to me and said that they told him the exact same thing his first time here. So, because this was looking shady as hell, I decided to not change the filter. They charged me $40 for replacing the oil. So yesterday I went to get a new oil change at a different place and didnt mention the cap to these guys. They changed everything no problem and capped off my fluids for $30. I hate giving one star reviews, but how many times does it take for a business to lie to you for them to become dishonest? It was a clear lie, theyve done it before to a different customer, and Im very disappointed. EDIT: Suburban contacted me after this review was posted, and gave me a full refund plus some "for my next oil change." I was told that my experience was not the way they run their business, and the owner apologized profusely. Im updating from one star to four, because I was really impressed with the callback. Suburban truly wants your business, and went the extra mile to make me happy.

Id like to express my gratitude to one of your employees for his expertise and professionalism. The week prior, I took my Minivan to an NTB for an oil change. An employee there called me an hour later and explained my oil was done however, both my rear brake calipers were bad and thus my pads, rotors, and calipers all needed to be replaced. This would have cost me $650 estimate. He also noted that all 4 of my vans tires were low on tread and all needed to be replaced. I decided I wanted a second opinion on the brakes and tires since money is tight. I then took my Van to your Oswego Suburban Tire where I met John Becker. John was super nice and informative. He had my van looked over and noted that only one caliper needed replacing and only 2 tires had low tread. Basically John not only told me what was wrong with my car, he also made me feel good about what was being fixed, and saved me a few hundred dollars. And to top it all off he gave me a loaner car until my van was ready. Just excellent service all way around. You now have a new customer. Thank you! Jacob

8/21/15 6:00 pm I had taken both of my cars there before and had no problems. This time I had my wife drop off our equinox while I took my son next door for a haircut. I walked back over to pick up the equinox and the person said that they were done and had to put a new drain plug in. the man told me that the threads were worn on the drain plug. This was odd because to me because I work with steel bolts and aluminum parts as a mechanic on the railroad and the vehicle is a 2012. I asked to see the plug and the showed me the rounded threads on the plug as an explanation. I just paid and left but I looked it up right when i left and the plug is manufactured with the first few threads rounded. I am guessing that they were looking to take advantage of my wife who wouldnt of questioned it. I would not ever have them do any major work on any vehicle because they seem to want to take advantage of peoples lack of knowledge on mechanics to make some more money. This is disappointing because i thought i found someone trustworthy in the neighborhood to work on my cars.

It is amazing that this center has any available time in their schedule. If everyone knew the quality of service, the honesty of the staff, their astounding attitudes, and very reasonable pricing; it would be nearly impossible to get an appointment. But, these guys would bend over backwards to find a way to help you. They really do work to help you and not just make a buck. I have been bringing my three vehicles to this shop since they opened. Every single time I have received honest and helpful information. Just valid and honest information with no pressure. I am a very critical consumer and I demand high quality concurrent with value, but seldom find it. In this case I cannot adequately communicate how great they truly are. With a 1 - 5 star rating system, they deserve 6 1/2 stars.

Found a gem with this place. Family owned business. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends. Prices are great also. They definitely stand behind their work and do a great job at it. The waiting room is very clean, makes you feel youre right at home and not to mention the starbucks coffee machine. This is an added bonus. Also they take their time when working on your car. Very meticulous and attention to detail is what I noticed right away when I was getting my alignment done. Will definitely be back.Couldnt be any happier!

In a return visit, I was offered a comp on the tire change and explained that the policy for free tire rotations has changed. I understand that policies change and prices go up and am ok paying for things I am told about. Thank you for informing me about the tire patching which made me feel better about my tire. These gents were concerned enough to call me after my service and my review to go the extra distance to make things right, that tells me something right there. Thanks for taking the time to make things right and explain.

Its refreshing to get great service. I have bought tires for two cars from Suburban Tire in Oswego, Illinois. Nathan and Steve are great to work with and are always courteous. They have the best prices in town. You get a nice detailed printout of your alignment with an explanation to go along with it. Their showroom, and also their bathroom is very clean. The family has been in the business for a long time and the overall experience shows it. I would go to them for all my future tire needs.

After my vehicle started shifting gears hard, I took it in to a mechanic who diagnosed it as a bad transmission. Considering this is an extremely pricey repair, I decided to get another opinion. I was referred to suburban tire and Im so thankful i went! Turns out it was NOT the transmission, but a faulty sensor. John was so helpful, the customer service is phenomenal and its so nice to know I can take my vehicle to a trustworthy and honest mechanic!!! Ill never go anywhere else again.
