Mailed important document with priority mail on 3rd Jun 2015 expecting the delivery to happen within 3 days within IL state. on 8 Jun found that they have sent the mail to HAZELWOOD, Missouri !! So disappointed, I called customer care and had to wait for 47 minutes so that some body answers it. After answering, lady told me, all she can do is open a case to investigate.it was 10 Jun and delivery status said in transit and had no movement after 4 Jun. on 11 Jun somebody called saying he was assigned to the case and will let me know any further details. on 14 Jun, again called customer care as there was no change in delivery status. yes and had to wait for 35 minutes so somebody answers the call. A useless information was thrown, that case investigation is in progress and they will notify you. Meanwhile I had visited the post office to escalate what in the name of god was going here? I was asked that why did you not send your package using express mail? I said whats wrong with priority mail when USPS advertise so loud that it so safe and can be tracked!! All I got was your case is under investigation and I will not be able to assist you more. So frustrated, I called customer care again on 16 Jun (yes waited for another 31 minutes so somebody answers) and came to know that case has been already closed and another office phone number was handed over to me.

Make sure you realize that probably all other positive posts are written by Ron - post general at that post office. The guy is the most incompetent jerk you shall ever meet in your life. He will make your life as hard as it gets just to get rid of you or to go to another post office. He is the the laziest person I have ever met in my life. Hes being mean and super slow on purpose, besides that hes just a person of a very low IQ. If you ever have anything to do with him you shall understand why USPS is struggling financially... You will be amazed how people get paid for proverbial NOTHING. Oh, did I mention... there is always a looooong line there - the longest you have seen in a loooong time. Regardless of number of customers, the staff is an expert in maintaining the long, long line and their job security!!!! It will take you up to 20 minutes to send a letter - if line is too short they will just lower number of active reps in a heartbeat to keep it to the door. Go elswhere - this is by far the worst plase to ship anything, Wheeling PO is much better and others are too Im sure. USPS will get what they deserve sooner or later. They just increased their prices by up to 30% on international express mail and other services too, and I hope they go out of business for hiring such people...

I guess its love them or hate them.. Ive lived here over 20 years and the service is terrible !!! Every time a package I sent which was insured with delivery notification was lost or damaged I was told by the postmaster " we do not guarantee anything - same with priority and express mail that did not get there overnight or in 3 days.. "we dont guarantee anything".. well I dont guarantee you business other than having to buy stamps from you as needed. All my parcels for my internet company go FEDEX .. I only use the post office as last resort. Calling customer service to get assistance.. what a joke on the taxpayers and users of the postal service. Incompetence and arrogance. I was in one day when a woman came in with a box of wedding invitations.. all sent back for wrong postage .. she told the postmaster she had it weighed there for proper postage on each.. dozens returned... all had the same postage... he said Nothing is Guaranteed to her too .. she had them weigh one each on 3 scales.. each had a different weight.. her point was made. What would they do about it . NOTHING... I dont blame her for being furious and losing her temper.

I agree with reviewer Alex. This Ron guy is COMPLETELY rude and very lazy. I just tried calling about some missing packaged Ive been getting notices for, and instead of trying to help me, he talked as fast as he could rushing to get me off the phone saying he cant help me. In the end, his solution to my problem was for me to leave more notes on my mailbox (which Ive already been doing back and forth with the mailman to no avail). He was unnecessarily impolite even though I was being very courteous and respectful, and he talked so fast I could not even understand him. Plus he kept interupting me and wouldnt let me finish a sentence and when I told him about my missing packages (I have a total of three) he said, "I only see one and Im not going to waste time looking for the others." Nice to know our mail is in such good hands. Unfortunately, theres nothing we can do because Ron works for the government and that makes him special enough to just toss insluts around and be careless with peoples possessions. Very terrible experience.

THE WORST POST OFFICE SERVICE EVER!!! I wanted to send my wedding invitations out, and they told me all I needed was the regular stamp. I bought the regular stamp and sent the invitations out, the next day I find out it wasnt enough and they sent them back to me. The problem was that I never received them. They have not idea where they are, I had to reorder them and re address them, and I sent them out after my RSVP date because thats how long the whole process took. I still have no idea where my other invitations out, and the post office does not want to help is any way. I think this is a ridiculous way to be treated by a service representing the United States!

Called a "post office", but they have a outside post box and mail is removed once a day at 5:45 PM. Im sorry, that does not qualify as a post office to me!! If you were real post office then you can actually get mail out of your outside box at least twice a day. This is whats wrong with the US post office, theyre lazy asses. Now I drop off a letter at the "post office" and wont even get picked up for another 24 hours, mailed out another day later. No wonder its called "snail mail". any supervisors in the US Post Office ever read this stuff?! Hope you have a back up plan, because the US PS is going to be gone in five years.

the worst USPS office. I have been waiting on queue for same day delivery mail around 5:20PM. I reached the counter and told them the same. They gave a slip to fill the addresses. After filling, counter is occupied and waiting for almost 25 mins. When i reached the counter, they are saying same day delivery was closed (at 5) and asked to reach near post office (closing time is:6:15 PM. Almost 6 PM here. it was very important mail that i should send on the same day. No value for time.

this is the worst post office I have ever been too, even the post master general is rude. Their hours are open until 6pm....so Frances closes his line 5 minutes before close, and then Lucy refuses service to customers waiting in line who were there before 6pm because according to her it is now after 6pm and she has to get home. WOW. amazing customer service. will never return, especially since UPS and FedEX are so easy to work with, never go here!
