Edit - same issues, different day. I have a two level home. Sometimes, my family like to be downstairs - but if you happen to be downstairs when the delivery person knocks on your door, by the time you get upstairs, they have already gone and left you a notice. I work till past the annexs closing. Please explain how I can get my package? Ive called and been told my package was "returned to sender". But the package actually was not returned to sender and Amazon had to get involved. This place is inept at best and lazy at worst. From now on I will have packages delivered to my work. -------- I hesitate to even write a review lest our mail issues become even worse! However, having lived here for 2 years now, i can honestly say this is the worst "postal office" Ive ever encountered. Packages not delivered, receiving "sorry we missed you" notices when we were home to two missing pay checks. Ive called this establishment no less than twice a month (and sometimes many more times trying to sort out mistakes). If you ever have the pleasure of talking to the supervisor, Mary, consider calling back. Shes rude and offensive. She has no accountability and will consistently berate, insult and hang up on you. When I spoke with her about my two missing pay checks she told me I "probably had the wrong address" on my check. I explained that that wasnt the case - she said "oh well, not my problem!" I asked how can I be sure my next check wont get lost - she got completely huffy and said "I will just start copying your mail to track it". "Mary, I dont think thats even legal!" "We do it all the time. We are the US government, we can do what we want." Beautiful. When I asked about missing packages or mail not belong delivered she said "its not my fault people steal things." Absurd how this woman is a supervisor and how the ANNEX continues to be in business. I dont understand how they can get away with treating people this way and nothing changes. Still - no mail. Now, if I want my neighbors mail? That, you can be sure will be delivered to my address, mine however has disappeared into the ether....

3/16/17 Update: I go to the Westmont Post office now which meets my expectations :) 1) Why do I have to drive 10-15 minutes to get to my "local" post office. Darien needs their own post office. 2) If you took me here and said guess what post office youre at I wouldve said somewhere in Siberia. It is small, understaffed, papers taped all over the walls, scuff marks everywhere, the 2 people before me were expecting packages and were turned away without packages, the long line behind me was disgruntled due to the long wait because of being understaffed. I was there to pick up mail I had on hold because someone has been checking my mail, but I wonder if it is any safer in this poor excuse for a government establishment.

On Saturday I saw the mailman pull up to the building and I went to the mailbox. He was already gone by the time I got out there but in my mailbox was a slip for a certified letter I had received. He didnt even ring the door bell to attempt to see if anyone was home. Now I have to take off work early just to go pick up mail that I shouldve received on the day it was deliver had the postman done his job correctly. The annex location and the workers are just ridiculous!! If someone has certified mail make an attempt to see if someone is home before just leaving the slip in the mailbox!!

Another terrible experience with USPS, I wish I could give zero stars. My package tracking said it was delivered, but nothing showed up. Spoke to Mary on the phone and she was not helpful, just said that they are not responsible and it probably got stolen. She didnt even apologize. It is ridiculous that a business in the service industry has little to no customer service. It is ridiculous that a business has no responsibility whatsoever. Could you imagine if every business acted like this? Must be nice to get paid and have no responsibilities.

I dont know whats wrong with the staff but they tend to be very rude and have an attitude problem everytime I call them. One in particular the supervisor Mary she dosent know how to talk to a customer she was so aggressive she had no intention in helping me. I literally felt like crap after getting off the phone.. I never put bad reviews because Im in business but this time I felt like putting out a warning before you guys give them a call.

Still waiting for the day when some sort of new management fixes this particular postal district. Theyve gotten a bit better at not mixing up my mail with my neighbors, but occasionally I still get letters addressed to people down the block. Also, they love leaving "Sorry We Missed You!" slips without ever knocking or ringing the doorbell. Plus, this post office is hidden in the middle of nowhere.

Beyond incompitent. Leave all the one star ratings you want, this place will forever be horrible and the staff will always be slow and rude, USPS doesnt actually care what we have to say. The hours are beyond stupid, lotsof people work past 4pm so maybe chnge your hours so people can actually pick up their packages.

Mail carrier for my area is verbally abusive to residents with racist comments and has reported several houses as vacant because they dont pick up mail daily but weekly when the mail box is a locked community box. Also noted several issues of mail carrier "misplacing" utility bills and other important mail.

Worst post office ever!!!!! I dislike so much. They will bring a package but dont ring the bell or knock on the door therefore leaving a slip and not wanting to re deliver the package!! Guess they will not have my service anymore!

Super slow in bringing up the packages. I have personally experienced a 15-20 minutes wait for a package. The customer service is very bad.
