Josh and Travis have been phenomenal! Ive been to many auto repair centers in Ankeny, Urbandale and Waukee over the last decade, but when I found Honest Wrenches, I havent been anywhere since. Over the last few years they have demonstrated the utmost business practice, even making recommendations that may mean less profit for them. In doing so, they have developed another client for life. This past summer (2014), my mom, who I referred to Honest Wrenches because of their service, was driving their rental car while her car got serviced. Another car hit her while she was stopped, and they arrived on the scene immediately, and continue to check on her well-being, even though she was alright but their car had some damage. They have treated me like a friend more than a client, and you will not find a better couple of Auto Repair Owners in the Metro!

Josh and Travis have always taken care of my Familys vehicles with great care and the best service. It is great to finally have someone I can trust to not cheat me and do a great job. I have worked on my own cars for years and still do sometimes when I can. The guys are even nice enough to tell me when I can probably do it myself. Their pricing is fair and they always are helpful with what NEEDS done and what we should watch in the future. They have done such a great job I have sent all of our grown children, Friends, and even my Dad to them. (Hes a hard one to please and he likes them as well) They even saved him from making a terrible mistake in purchasing an RV. He wanted it bad but with what they found in their inspection he wisely stayed away. I cant say enough about the great service and Honest Professionalism they provide.

Travis went above and beyond to help me. I was in a town I wasnt familiar with. Not only did his company tow my vehicle but it was an hour wait for the tow truck so Travis came and picked us up so we didnt have to wait in a storm. He graciously drove us to Starbucks to wait. He then came back and got us and took his to his shop and if that wasnt enough he offered us drinks for the long drive home and give us directions. And even more he called me today to make sure I had made it home and didnt have any trouble. What and amazing guy. His number is now in my contact list if I ever get in trouble in Des Moines, Iowa. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Thanks Travis for making a day that could have been very stressful an great day!!!

Went here on 10/13 for an oil change. Was told my fuel filter was rusted out and needed to be replaced - took it into Midas today (was told the fuel filter is fine) but to top things off, I now have a gas leak. NOT from the fuel filter or the tubing but because someone did not properly replace the fitting at the fuel filter to fuel line. I drive my car once every 2-3 weeks so this is why I didnt notice this problem earlier. Honest Wrenches careless mistake cost me $120 dollars. Not only are they careless, but they they gave me a bogus $330+ estimate.

We have been using Honest Wrenches for years. Last week my husband (a car hobbyist) was working on our 08 Mercedes and could not go any further without the help of a professional mechanic. We emailed the shop, talked to Travis and as usual he got us all taken care of at a very fare price. Honest Wrenches truly live up to their name. They were able to correctly diagnose the issues with the front end on our Ford Fusion and save us 300 hundred dollars right off the bat. Tires Plus had totally dropped the ball on correctly diagnosing the issue beforehand and would have potentially cost me 2000 plus dollars in the end. These folks really are honest people. Keep treating customers right gentleman and customers will keep coming back.

I recently had to have a transmission replaced in my 2004 Sprinter Van and am extremely happy I found these guys. They were knowledgeable and friendly, but more importantly they were fair and upfront about everything they were doing. I also appreciated their willingness to go above and beyond a normal shop by offering rides to and from my hotel. I cant recommend these professionals enough. You cant go wrong with these guys. Great at diagnoses and wont rip you off. Im so glad I met them years ago. I trust them with my familys vehicles. My step moms car broke a ball joint. They couldnt afford a tow bill to get it down to me to work on. Asked about places in des Moines I trusted. No other shop crossed my mind. Have it towed to honest they will take care of you mom. She did and they did a great job. You guys kick ass.

Hi Troy, Im probably due for an oil change but had a knee replacement two weeks ago so wont be able to make it for a few weeks, but look foreward to your service which has been excellent each time I have been to your shop. your garage is clean, your waiting room very clean and comfortable, work is done efficiently and on time. In the future I will be using Honest Wrenches for maintaining my car. They are friendly and helpful when figuring out what needs to be fixed and what they can do to help. I am so glad I found Honest Wrenches! The mechanics are truly honest and personable.. They will not force you into work that doesnt need to be done, or that doesnt need to be done immediately. They tell you whats wrong and what is working well, and actually show you your car as they are preparing to work on it, during, and/or after. No surprises. Great group of guys!

I have done 100% of my automotive work myself for years. Nice break from three-piece suit, 40 hours a week. No one cares about your car as much as you do, right? I cant do that anymore. I got a free oil change, transmission fluid flush, power steering fluid flush! Because of the willingness of saving me the trouble of having my car break down during christmas when i couldnt afford those services at the time i went. I will definitely come back here again when the need arises and i have told a few friends about honest wrenches
