I was referred to Carlos by a friend of the family. I needed a timing belt replaced and had been quoted over $700 by the dealership. Not only did Carlos come in a lot cheaper, but he also found some additional items that needed replaced and took care of them while staying under budget. Carlos even showed me the parts that he replaced and the receipts for the new parts. No hidden charges - totally upfront about everything. My 95K+ mileage car purrs like a kitten. This is the only shop I will be using from now on.

First time going to Carlos today,Pretty bad impression of the place. Says they open at 9 on the website and on the door. Got there at 9:05. Lobby door was open. Waited 15 minutes for someone to help us all the while we were knocking on the door since we heard someone in the shop working on a car. We got no response. So we called the number on the door and he told us we would have to come back in an hour because he wasnt even there. Will never come here again and I dont reccomend it.

Carlos Auto in Des Moines Iowa is The #1 Best and Cheapest place in the Des Moines area to have your car fixed hands down.. I brought my car in to have the blower motor fixed, these guys not only fixed that but several other small things that I was having issues with, All for Half of the price I would have to pay anywhere else.. Cant tell you how thankful I am that I took my car to them.... Definitely going to be a loyal returning customer.. Thank you Carlos!!

I am giving the guy 5 stars. He is a one man shop so you are not going to get the same service as you walk into Firestore, but call and setup sometime. Understand he is one man shop so will still take time, but always know your car is fixed right the first time and for half or 3/4 of the cost. Also no or EVERY LITTLE up sell on parts. Firestore sells you an $20 part for $40-$60. Carlos sells it for $20 sometimes 22....Great shop also going back

carlos is one of the best honest mechanics that are hard to find, he fixed my car for a lot cheaper than other shops,including,sear auto service,firestone, valley west corner auto repair,..this 3 shops wanted a lot of money for a job that carlos took care fast and charged me 15 percent of what others wanted to charge me..thats a lot of saving..thanks carlos ..

This operation is one of the best auto repair shops I have been to. Carlos gives you a time and you are in within a 30 minute window. I have been to the big auto repair shops (Stew Hansen) and have had to wait days to get my vehicle back. Five stars all the way, thank you Carlos.
