In July of 2009 I brought my 1985 Chevy pickup in to this precision tune location. As the truck is 25 years old, the rear brake lines were completely rusted out and I wanted them replaced. Im emotionally invested in this truck, so it is worth it (to me) to pay to replace the lines. I paid to have it towed there and to "replace rear brake lines that were rotted out." (exact wording on receipt) When I left, I didnt think to look under the truck to check their work. About 1000 miles later (a little over a year in time, as this truck is just a hobby of mine I keep in the garage) my brakes go out on me, pouring brake fluid out the rear brake lines. I take a look, and see that they only replaced one section of the brake lines going to the back, but not the section of the lines that split to each rear tire. So the section that I thought I paid to replace was not replaced and nearly caused a crash. I called the location and talked to the manager (owner) and was very polite when I stated that I thought my payment included all rear brake lines as the receipt suggests. He was completely rude the moment he heard I had a complaint, yelling in the phone that Im wasting his time with my pile of crap truck that should be junked anyway and hung up on me. He later called me back and apologized and offered to help me out, but at this point Id rather pay somebody else. When I first brought it in, they did fix it promptly and the part they DID replace is still holding up good.

I paid $800 for them to repair my car only for the parts to fail 2 months later. Thankfully they warrantied the parts but when i asked why the parts failed all i got from the manager was "I dont know" and walked away. Then the car started doing the same thing it was doing before so I took it to a reputable shop and they replaced the catalytic converter which was the cause of the original parts failing, which Precision Tune never even looked at, even though the first time I dropped my car off I thought it might be the converter and told them so. No one can think for them selves there and from the manager down no one takes pride in their work. Avoid at all costs.

After breaking down on the trip back from Thanksgiving, AAA took me to seemingly the only open auto body shop which quickly called me back for a new motor ~$5k repair. Having some previous work done with Precision Tune and potentially a warranty situation on some parts, I towed the car 20 miles to Plymouth. The crew at Precision Tune was able to correctly diagnose a completely different issue which lead to a new repair at a fraction of the price I would have paid elsewhere. The owner, Jeff, personally gave his attention to my car and situation and visually walked me through the problematic parts. I will bring my auto maintenance business here going forward.

I have a New Honda Accord Coupe that wouldnt start and had symptoms of an alternator problem. I was in Plymouth at a gas station near Precision Auto but have always been hesitant to take my car anywhere other than the dealership with all of the electronics these days but since they were close and had a recommended tow company I went there. Jeff had the problem diagnosed in 15 minutes and replaced my battery which had a short. Low cost and quick exit on a problem I wouldnt have been able to diagnose myself. I appreciate the honesty, speedy service and low cost. Thansks Jeff!

Great service, and much more reasonably priced than the dealer. I will say they messed up a radiator flush, leaving air bubbles in the lines-which caused my thermostat to tell me the engine was over-heating, when it was not. That said, they made it right. With my car back in the shop they corrected the mistake, free of charge, and tested the car to make sure all air bubbles were out. Overall 4.5/5. Without the mistake this would have been 5/5.

I dont always have someone else fix my truck, but when I do, its Precision Tune in Plymouth. They did exactly the work I wanted to have done and I never felt jerked around or overcharged. They have honest mechanics like Jeff who just gives you a good vibe and Chelsea at the front desk who really knows what shes doing. Precision Tune in Plymouth is a solid garage, run by hard working humans. They will get my business again.

Most shops in Minnesota try to take you for a ride finding all kinds of things wrong in your car. It is difficult to find a place like Precision Tune in Plymouth where you find honesty about your case. The employees work on a salary basis, not on commision as most other shops operate. I have no problem recommending this place.

Just needed an oil change and was able to stop by over lunch. They replaced a burnt out headlight and adjusted the bulbs for me as well. I appreciated the attention to detail and help. I recently moved, and have been looking for a new repair shop. I believe just found it. Will definitely be back.

These guys are very honest and do not over charge you. I do some of my own work and I usually know what is wrong. They work with you and you can bring your own parts and save a little money so they dont have to procure parts. They have done a great job of keeping my old 2000 caravan rolling.

I would never be afraid to take my car to this shop; the are knowledgeable and courteous, plus, they respect your time. Their prices are way better than the dealerships and the work is comparable or better. The shop floor is well organized and clean which indicates a well run shop.

They know their stuff hands down. This is the second time I brought my car to Precision Tune in Plymouth and second time I get qualifyed inspection, tons of recomendations but without overselling and pushing stuff down my throat. Definately will come back.

Horrible service. They changed my appointment to a different day and said I called them to make the shift. Never apologized for their mistake and told me I would have to wait. Poor organization and customer service is not a sign of a good business.

Jeff, the owner, is awesome. Theyre always competent and efficient. If we ever move away from here, we will grieve at leaving them behind. If you have work you want to wait for, nearby Caribou Coffee is a convenient place for it.

I was skeptical that an auto repair shop had such good reviews on google, but after my first visit and working with Jeff, I can see why! Great shop here in Plymouth. I now have a place to go for future service needs.

Precision Tune does great work and more importantly, is trustworthy! Ive taken cars to them for 20+ years and have always appreciated Jeff and his crew. They are my preferred auto mechanics for life.
