The nice service technicians at Youngstedts Maple Grove (who are paid commission on each service they can sell you, as was confirmed to me by the trainee who gave me a lift home when I dropped my vehicle off) decided to take me for a ride. I brought my vehicle in because it was burning oil. I knew it was burning oil (not leaking it), because I park it in the same spot in my driveway each night and there was no oil spot. I relayed this to the owners kid who checked me in when I dropped it off. So I was a little surprised when he called 2 hours later to tell me that it was leaking all over the place and I would need a new oil pan gasket. I really wanted to believe him, as an oil pan leak is a lot less serious than an engine burning oil, so when he explained something about only leaking when under the pressure of driving I bought it and gave the go ahead. $600 later I was still burning oil. When I brought it back 3 days later complaining that it was still burning oil, the technician recommended another $400 service that was since confirmed to me by a different mechanic to be a completely made up solution that didnt even make mechanical sense. When I asked what they could do for me since the initial fix obviously wasnt the problem and I had suggested as much when I dropped it off, they offered me $25 off the 2nd repair. So they did $600 in unnecessary work on my car, offered a $25 discount if Id give them $400 more business which still wouldnt have fixed my problem. Was I gullible taking them up on the first repair? You bet. But this is a shop that recommends completely unnecessary repairs and wont stand behind their work.

I brought in my 2001 Audi A6 with 2 problems for them to fix, plus get an oil change. First problem: my dash screen reads "Brake ____". My pixels are out and cant read the last word. Did some research online (since I dont have my owners manual) and couldnt find what it was trying to tell me. Wanted Youngstedts to run the codes ($80-sum). They couldnt find anything wrong. Second problem: shuddering when I accelerate. Called me a few hours after I checked in my car stating that I need new boots on the front axles and they are $500 a piece plus service. I said ok, as long as it fixes the shuddering. Got a call saying car is ready to be picked up. Went in paid my $1600 and the guy at the counter said oh, the shuddering isnt fixed, here is a quote for what needs to be done $2,000! This would include the cost of the new drive shaft plus service. They claimed that the new boots may relieve the shuddering not fix it. Went home and did some reserach and diagnosed my car no problem with needing a new drive train. AND they dont cost what they quoted me for (the boots were also not $500 a piece). ALSO, found out what that Brake ____ problem was---BRAKE LIGHT WAS OUT. How can they not figure that out??? I felt taken advantage of...typical chain auto shop. Fixing my drive train MYSELF for a fraction of the cost.

my visit to maple grove youngstedts last week was a very relaxing and stress free. I came to purchase four new goodyear tires for my daughters vehicle. I was greeted by Rick and Brian and was extremely pleased with their courteous and knowledgable assistance with the tire purchase to having the installation done in a very reasonable amount of time. Rick informed me of a couple of things on the vehicle that could be serviced, which made me feel assured that they were making sure my vehicle was safe and in good working order and ready for the winter. I will be bringing my other two vehicles in for service next week Youngstedts maple grove is a tire and auto service that you can trust to do a complete and professional job, maple grove is lucky to have them as an auto service center - THANK YOU

A trustworthy car mechanic is a dime a dozen. Even more rare is service with genuine care and honest advice. My experience at Youngstedts in Maple Grove has renewed my confidence in the auto repair industry. Over the past year I have taken my car in to Yougstedts 3-4 times for various issues. On each visit I found the intake process, service technicians, and integrity of the staff as a whole to be top notch. They even contacted my dealer to attempt to solve a difficult and obscure manufacturer issue. Not only do I recommend Youngstedts to anyone, I don’t plan to take my cars anywhere else!

Ive been using Youngstedts Maple Grove Goodyear for a number of years. Ive been very pleased. I feel the prices are fair and the service has been great. Not once have I felt like Im being sold something I dont need. Ive probably been told I DONT need something more than I do need something performed. Warranty issues (replaced part not performing) have been addressed promptly. The waiting room is clean with plenty of reading material, a TV and WiFi access. I would highly recommend this repair facility in the Maple Grove, MN area.

I appreciate their honesty! They noticed a repair was needed while doing an oil change, but recommended I take it to the dealer because it would be covered under warranty. I took my vehicle to the dealer, who said it was not covered under warranty. When I called Youngstedts to schedule the repair, they encouraged me to take it back to the dealer and speak with a manager. I did, and indeed it was covered under warranty. We were ready to pay for the repair at Youngstedts, and it was refreshing to get such great service!!

My family has been going to Youngstedts Goodyear in Maple Grove for the past several years. Brian and his crew have always taken very good care of us. They are always very fair, they do a great job explaining any costs clearly and always go out of their way to ensure we are satisfied customers. We are very comfortable with their rates and abilities to service our vehicles. We will always go to Brian for any of our vehicle service needs and we are confident and happy to recommend them to people we know.

Pretty good service and very good follow-up on a poor experience. ... My wife once waited two hours for an oil change and tire rotation which is crazy long for that service. I did write them on their own website and the manager personally called me and apologized and offered a very reasonable compensation. I was impressed that they do care enough to respond quickly and personally to my complaint. I would recommend them to others because of this.

While on vacation my front tires started showing thread under the rubber. I went in knowing it was an allignment issue. I got all four tires replaced and a four wheel alignment for just under $600. Thats a reasonable price. I do all my own mechanical work, but tires require special equipment. Im always afraid of ending up with a dishonest salesman like auto shop. In my experience, Youngstedts is not one. Thanks for a good experience!

Over the last three years I have had the pleasure working with Brian Try, manager. He has been more than cordial, sensitive to our needs and professional in nature. He has personally been very kind and thoughtful to our family. His staff have done a great job servicing our vehicles. We have enjoyed doing business with them and consider Brian a special friend. Thank you Brian and staff for all you do! Phil & Sandy Peikes
