To start I will be submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau- this is the most dishonest repair shop I have ever seen. So in late 2009 I had the entire exhaust system (front to back) replaced at this shop- $1800+ repair, and now a little over 4 yrs later my muffler is loud, I call 10a saturday to see if they can repair it before a snow storm coming in since this is my 4 wheel drive car and am assured it will be completed. At 430p I am getting concerned so I call and the Manager John Bradley stated he was just about to call with the estimate- ESTIMATE ? I was told it would be completed!! The estimate I am told is for the entire exhaust which is again completely rusted- from the front to the tail pipe including the catalytic converter- per John " I will have to get prices but the converter will be +/-1200 alone, the front y piece, connecters to the converter, tail pipe and labor- Im looking for these parts, the muffler of course is under warranty" I express that I only want the muffler and tail pipe- none of the other stuff and was told by John "it is all completely rusted nothing can be salvaged- I ask when it will be completed and am told Monday- they are closed on Sunday. I asked if the car was drivable because I needed it for work on Monday and was told it was fine to drive, so I pick up the car and take it at 530pm to Monroe mufflers on Rt 40 in Catonsville, I called and told them the same "the muffler is loud, I need it for work on Monday etc" they assure me they can repair it on Sunday. On Sunday 10 am I get a call from them " the muffler and tail pipe need replacement- the pipe leading into the converter is rusted but they will try to repair it for us" estimate is $630" I also asked if they could tighten a belt that was slipping and they said sure- when I asked John at Midas he said that they would have to remove the manifold, check pulleys- there would be at least 1hr labor charge- I asked cant your just tighten the belt and he said no -so I said forget it", Monroe finished the car by 4pm Sunday. So now Im angry at the complete opposite service I got from 2 muffler companies. Oh, and the estimate from Midas was emailed to me March 3rd, $4800 for a new exhaust, $1800 for custom job!!! There has to be some kind of oversite of companies like this-I can not believe that Midas would condone this kind of blatant theft. This is the first time I have ever written a review- I dont know if it will help, but be warned - this company/site/manager are going to take advantage of you- if you let them:( glad I wasnt a repeat fool, disappointed they got me the first time tho!!

Worst customer experience ever. A couple of things. I went in to have my brakes checked and then an hour and 15 minutes later, they walk me to the car and start showing me all these things that are wrong and need to be fixed. There was only 1 other person there when I arrived and it takes 75 minutes. After offering to replace my tires (which were between 4 & 7/32nds around) and finally tell them this is "too much information" and ask them to stop. At this point, the manager takes an attitude and walks away. Basically, he tells me it will be another 45 minutes before they can put my car back together. I leave to come back later and when I arrive, its 20 minutes past closing yet all 4 guys are still there plain as day. They ignore me. I tell them that I need to get my car and they tell me they are closed. They wont relent. I have no ride home and wait 30 minutes and they continue to ignore me (at the door) and walk past me on the way out telling me I can get the car at 7:30am. These are Bad Guys. Managers name is John Bradley. I will never step foot in this place again (after I get my car back).

Went there for an oil change and tire rotation two months ago. Over all it was OK. I didnt not accept any of the additional repairs (several hundred bucks) they suggested. However, I suspected that they did not rotate the tires but I didnt have any proof. I went there again for an oil change and tire rotation. This time I marked the tires. When I picked up the car, I confirmed with the manager that the tire was rotated. However, when I inspected the tire, they were never rotated! The manager was very unprofessional and very rude. It was funny that he said he was going to charge me money for the labor to inspect the unrotated tire! What a joke! He kept suggesting I am lying to him, until I showed him the marking on the tire and he backed down a bit. This was ridiculous! I didnt have much time to argue with the manager and had to leave soon after. But I definitely will not go there again for any car service, unless I have extra money to burn for getting nothing done! Now I think about it, I have no idea if they actually change the oil and filter...

I was genuinely really impressed. I was cautious after reading some reviews, but I went in for the advertised $20 tire rotation and oil change. I left paying $20 (which never happens at other oil change places). Oil was changed and tires were rotated (I checked after). They made suggestions on what could be fixed and brought a few concerns (really legitimate suspension and rim issues that I do need to fix) and offered suggestions (no pressure) on fixing them. I had nice interactions with 4 different employees including John who I believe was a manager. While I was there, another customer picked up his car and had questions about repair and part prices, John appeared to be really refreshingly honest and worked with him until he was satisfied. I do already have a go to mechanic/shop, but now I have two.

Do not go here! Ive been here several times to get my oil changed, and each time they recommend expensive, unnecessary repairs. Their prices are much higher other shops and when Ive gone elsewhere to get a second opinion, Im told the repairs are not needed. They also tried to sell me new tires last time as they said one of my tires was not repairable, took it elsewhere to get a second opinion where it was able to get repaired. Also they found a leak, that was not there before I took the car in (and I can tell as there is nothing on my garage floor) and of course recommended expensive repairs. Manager is rude when you tell him you dont want to make repairs too. Will not go there again!

Complete Incompetence. Went to have brakes fixed and service engine light diagnosed. After $1,500, numerous recommendations that did not work and three trips back to the shop, my Check Engine light is still on and my brakes still dont work right. These guys exemplify incompetence. Their lack of understanding customer service is only eclipsed by their lack of mechanical knowledge. I wouldnt trust an oil change to these guys, knowing what I know now. AVOID THIS FACILITY. Unless you have time and money to burn go somewhere....anywhere...else.
