I got terrible customer service from Tom, the store manager. Heres the story. A new employee waited on me and couldnt operate any of the equipment needed to ship my package or complete the transaction. Another employee helped her. (Why wasnt she trained to do this?) I purchased a packaging tube from the store and asked them to package it -- add peanuts and tape the ends. As it turns out, she did not package it properly, sticking just the plastic inserts into each end of the tube. The package eventually broke open during shipping and the contents were lost. The package itself was recovered by UPS and then an investigation and search for the contents ensued. Tom, the store manager, called me about the problem 4 days after UPS reported the issue to him. When I visited the store the day after his call, he still had not initiated the investigation. Within minutes of me leaving, I saw on the UPS site that he started the investigation. From this time forward four months, Tom never called me about the status of the investigation. I had to call him repeatedly to get any reports on the status and to get him to do anything about it. All along, he did not take any responsibility for the errors his store employee caused. Each time I would talk with him, he said it was my fault for not purchasing enough insurance, or UPSs fault for not being able to find the lost contents. This process took 4 months to complete and finally today I got a check for the lost merchandise. No apology from him for the overall issue or the length of time it took. Toms entire attitude was rude and condescending.

Went to the UPS store with 2 cigar boxes I had hand painted. One of them had a glass bottom with sand inside. I asked the 150 year old man working there to package them safe, because they are fragile. He damaged part of the outside decorations sliding it into the packaging. Then I asked him to put some "THIS SIDE UP" stickers on it so the sand would not fall out. He replied, "See right here? The shipping label goes on top, so they know what side is up." ??? Oh do they now... "Well can I at least get some fragile stickers on it?" He slapped a few on there, all crooked and wrinkled, along with the shipping label, all crooked and wrinkled. The box looked like it was ready to be kicked around like a soccer ball, or like it just came from around the world with all the crooked stickers on it. (Dude moved like molasses, not surprised he cant apply stickers correctly) Long story short my sister got the package and it was all shot to hell. Sand escaped the cigar box and was all in the crevices of the brown box. The palm tree on the side of the box was damaged from him sliding the box into the shipping box while the air pillows were too tight. After he packaged the two cigar boxes (each fit into an 8 inch box) The other man, about 50 years younger than the first guy, asked me when I wanted the packages there. I said "no rush." He then charged me $40 to ship two 8 inch boxes. DONT GO TO UPS STORE ON WEALTHY OLD MEN WHO FOUGHT IN WORLD WAR ONE WILL SCREW YOU OVER WITH THEIR INCOMPETENCE AND SCAM YOU INTO PAYING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

I went in here today to ship a package for the business I work for. I have been in here before and had a bad experience with one of their employees being rude to me. I noticed this employee was working today, so I went to the other employees register. I have the form filled out with all of the. info including what was in the package. The other employee, the one who was a jerk to .me before, decides that he needs to question me on what is in the box I am trying to ship. And proceeds to do it in the most condescending and irritating way possible, interrupting me, trying to correct me. I am someone who has worked in retail and customer service for nearly 10 years. In no way was I provoking him, and I understand that he needs to know what Im shipping, but the way in which he questioned me made me feel awful. Turns out this guy is Tom, the manager of the place. In this day and age, thank god we have options. I will not be returning to this place, and I will most likely bring my personal business to FedEx.

I recently had the "pleasure" of using this UPS store to ship packages for me. I requested they box the packages and ship them to two different locations. They did not ship the packages to the correct location they were delivered to the opposite addresses on 2/26/2010. I reported the misdelivered packages to the UPS store on 2/27/2010 and they assured me that they would locate them and get them redelivered correctly. It is now 3/9/2010 and I have heard nothing (even after 3 phone calls to the UPS store and 1 phone call to 1-800 UPS customer service) in regard to where my packages are. No one has called me back as promised, no one has has been even the least bit empathetic and Tom has been cold and one of the worst customer friendly people I have ever had the "pleasure" of doing business with. Not only will I never ship UPS again (this visit cost me $45 with nothing to show) but I will tell everyone I know never to use UPS again!!!!!

Just dont go here if possible. Seriously. My partner warned me the old dutch man (Tom, the manager) was mean and then suggested I try to find another employee to help me. I walked into the store and tried to talk to the younger employee but Tom stepped in before the kid could even say hello. He was NOT nice. If I were having a bad day, he would definitely have made me cry. I was returning a modem and he told me I needed a label to be able to return it. I called at&t and had several people tell me I didnt need a label, I just need to bring it into the store with my account number. Thats what I did! Im going to have to drive accross town to bring it to a different UPS store where the manager isnt a jagwagon. Thanks Tom! p.s. your store looks like a public restroom.

Spectacularly bad! Our printing order was not ready or even started when we arrived 9 hours after it was submitted via the website and an hour after it was promised to be done. The first 2 parts of the order were printed on the wrong stock paper and the third part was printed with the reverse side upside down. When the first printer jammed and the operator didnt know how to clear it, he put a copy on a copier and printed over 100 copies wrong with visible photocopy lines. Having your printing done here is like watching the 3 stooges. But a whole lot less funny when its for a wedding.

The problem I encountered was that they shipped my package but filled out the customs forms for Canada incorrectly and I was charged $275 customs and brokerage in order to get my package. I was eventually able to get refunded but not without a huge fight with UPS who, while admitting that it was a mistake on their part, claims they have no responsibility for the individual outlet employees. Customs Canada eventually refunded me their part but the whole thing was hours of misery. That said, the employees at this outlet were friendly and just made an honest mistake.
