If dealing with the assistant manager is a disaster, Im afraid of what a normal employee might be like. I brought in a set of golf clubs in a soft travel case and instructed them to put it in a box to ship it. I wasnt even asked if I wanted a box. After stating I needed it in a box, the clubs were put on the weight scale and measured and then I was checked out. I left under the assumption they would put it in a box. I find out it reached its destination 1 driver short and it wasnt in a box. I had not locked the case because I planned on it being in a box. I called this fedex store and explained the situation (I also filed a claim separately with the claims department which is even worse than dealing with the store). I was told they would look at the cameras and track what happened, and was told they would call me when after they look. 3 days later I hadnt received any calls so I called them. Apparently they looked at the cameras but just decided not to call to tell me anything. They apologized for not putting it in a box and said nothing ever was taken out of the bag while it was at the store. Accidents happen...and sure maybe its my fault for trusting them to do their job. But no follow up and never being asked if I wanted a box (an opportunity for them to make more money since they charge you for the box) seems like it should be a pretty standard question. Dont trust this location to put any effort or thought into what they do. I will avoid fedex all together in the future.

Exceeds my expectations! I posted a parcel overnight at 7am scheduled for delivery by 3pm the following day. After leaving the shop, I discovered I had left out a critical item in my parcel. I called the shop at 12pm to ask if I could send a second parcel that would catch up with the first one. Instead, the shop found my parcel waiting for evening pickup. They advised I could come into the shop and add the necessary item to the parcel. I advised that I would come in the afternoon to add the item. At 4:30pm, I received a courtesy call to make sure I knew that parcel pickup happened at 7:30pm. My parcel shipped the same day and adding the item had no additional cost. I received prompt and efficient service both times. They are well staffed to handle the needs of multiple customers in the shop and via phone.

I was in the Grand Rapids location today and older lady with shorter hair really needs be better with customer service! Hands down bad! Looks at me like Im stupid for asking questions and asked for help and it was like Im interrupting her day! I didnt even get the paper I wanted! Asked multiple times holding the paper I wanted and she just looked at me like yea thats it, no it wasnt! This isnt the first experience with her either. I work in customer service with healthcare and thats unacceptable! Im pregnant and last thing I need is someone being that rude when trying to just get a little help! Dont waste your time here! Customer service should be the #1 priority but these people at this fed ex on 28th St are lazy and slow. They are not doing anything behind the counter and they are telling people to pack their own stuff! WTF! They need to be fired and they need to hire people that want to work and people that want to help their customers! Monica please stop taking soooo long (20 minutes) doing tasks that would take any regular (not lazy) person a few minutes to do! Dont bother coming here if u want good customer service! The post office gives better CS! Thats a shame to even say!

I dont know know where all the bad reviews come from, because when I went in, my entire experience was great! I had a very helpful attendant who walked me through the process of international shipping, and even while she helped me out, as customers made their way into the store, other associates were readily available to help them out. They have great service, and my product arrived on time with no issues.

Shipped a .2 lb package today. (Padded envelope) They deceptively dont show you the cost until you actually check out. I swiped my card and had an additional charge pop up as I was swiping. $3 for a padded envelope. Ended up being $12.50 or so to ship. The staff here seemed to not care at all. Was never informed of the extra cost, and would not have paid this if I had known beforehand.

I visited the 28th Street site on a Saturday, 6/25/16 and the service tech was wonderful! She went out of her way to assist me with faxing some paper work internationally and determined the number I had was incorrect. Wish I knew her name so I could post it as well but you should Be able to determine who it is and thank her again for me!

Went to get flyers printed off and got ripped off. I sent them a copy and had them put four on a page and cut them. Should have been cheap but was over $15. When I asked the store manager why it was so high he just said "thats just what it is."

Here twice. Staff too busy to lend quality to services. Need explaination of prices, modes and ETAs. Kinkos services are unattended. Copier malfunctioned -- needed my credit card out to leave for an appointment.

i have to say that as a regular user of fedex this office has had the slowest inefficient way of working, specially when u come with more than one box. i had to send 14 boxes and it took almost an hour.
