Was in the store yesterday to exchange an old analog box for for a HD/DVR box. We waited less than 5 minutes and were taken care of quickly and efficiently. The person helping us could have been a little happier, but good service and explained everything quite well. Seeing all the complaints, we must have gone in at a slow time? Though I did hear they are expanding their hours and even open on Sunday now? So maybe they are trying? One little thing, all the equipment is used, and a slightly beat up. But if it works, guess it doesnt matter too much. Been a long time customer and I really dont have any complaints about charter in general. Cant remember the last time our TV service went out. We even had a major storm a couple week ago, lost power for 4 days and when the power came on our TV and Internet worked perfectly. I also called them about a tree siting on the cable line and they took care of it within a couple days. Our Internet has gone down, but its quite rare. Only complaint I do have is that I am disappointed they closed the Grand Haven store. Gotta be a lot of customers here in GH, doesnt make sense. While we hardly ever have to go in, it would be nice to have a place in town. Sure I am not the only customer here that feels that way.

I recently setup service with Charter for my rental property and was trying to log online to make a payment since I was not recieving my bill. Called Charter to get account setup to pay bill online the operator said that I needed a MAC code or security question to answer. She then told me to look at my bill for the information. I then told her that I was not recieving my bill,she agreed that the bill was going to my rental property 30 plus miles away. I asked what the MAC code was so that I could setup the account, she said that she could not give that to me. Really I just paid with the operator 122.00 on my bill and she cant give me the MAC code to setup an online account to pay them She then proceeded to say I cant give you that information over the phone for security reasons. I just paid you 122.00 dollars, Its my account!

Start out with good service, then a month later I was getting 1Mbps for my download speed when I was told I should be getting 60. Really surprised me since my family hasnt had many problems with Charter. However my experience has been incredibly bad. I have had to call their technical support 13 times so far. Most of the times they put in a ticket and say that the advanced team will look into it. Lies. They closed my ticket twice without solving it. I dont write reviews often cause most places dont deserve a good rating nor a bad rating. But Charter on the other hand, definitely deserved a 1 star rating. They havent delivered what they are supposed to at all. Dont go through the pain that I am going through.

Constomer for 4 years and nothing but VERY poor customer service. Charter continued to charge me 4 months of internet after I dissconeced service, told me to prove I came to the store to disconnect the service. Dishonest manager and workers said i never came into the store to dissconect the internet so we owed $175!!. Internet service is very poor at best. If you have a problem with internet the reps will be full of excuses to why there internet is currently down or patchy, and do plan on having to take many days off to have a service tec come to your home and fix nothing. In the 4 years of having Charter it has been nothing but mistakes and headaches waiting to be able to use the internet.

Stopped in to pick up cable box. Seems simple enough right? You would think so, however this is not the case. Apparently there is a kiosk you need to sign in at, but no actual sign saying so. They dont tell you this you have to figure it out on your own. There was only two employees working one of which was busy the entire length of my visit with a costumer. So for the 10 approx customers only one available employee. There is only seating for 4 people to wait and trust me youre going to be waiting awhile. I sat there roughly 30 minutes and had yet to be seen. Poorly thought out service plan. I left after wasting 30 min of my day.

After being a new customer in Twin Lake Mi I would almost rather not have cable than pay Charter for such a terrible service. My cable cuts in an out all the time and i have had 4 different technicians here to try and fix the problem. This company is so unorganized and lack knowledge on their technology. The service I have seems so outdated compared the Xfinity my previous cable provider. I was so mad when I found out Xfinity doesnt service this area because Charter is so terrible. I would not recommend using this company. I have no reason to lie about my review. I wish I could upload a video to show what a waste of money it is.

Horrible! My husband I just moved into a new house where AT&T (the internet we had before moving, which was awesome!) didnt service. Was told to go to charter so I did. The woman at the store said absolutely they service our new address! so I set up an appointment for installation, but when the service guy showed up he told us there were no towers in the area to even hook up to! He was confused why they even booked an appointment for this address! Now charter called me back and wants my husband and I to pay almost $13,000 for them to build a tower, just for us to have internet!! Unbelievable!! Dont believe anything they say!

The internet itself is great, weve never had an issue with that. As far as the service goes its frustrating, today is the third Wednesday in a row that Ive lost internet service around 1:00 am. I understand that most people are asleep right now, I work 2nd shift and would like to be able to use the service that I pay for. Every single time something hinders the internet service its out for the same amount of time, usually an hour and a half. So by the time its functional again Im getting ready for bed. Ive had enough of the recurring issue every week.

The cable industry sucks and Charter has all of the things people dislike--inability to select only only the channels you want, must rent a cable box even if you want only free local broadcast channels (which you cant have even when you rent the stupid cable box), the basic services are way too expensive and it only gets more ridiculous as you add premium channels.... But, if you want the best Internet service available in Holland at the moment, there is no better service available without breaking the bank.

After reading the reviews, I wont be calling charter. I am moving and AT&T is not in the area, so I have to find a new internet provider. After reading these recent reviews, I will not even TRY Charter. Too bad for you! Seems like you need to get your stuff together. I gave one star for the poor reviews (as I needed to give some sort of rating). The other star is for the fact that you offer service, over AT&T. I guess you have that going for you....
