Hired them for a move from Shelby to Sterling Heights. They arrived on time which was great and seemed like nice enough guys. Unfortunately, being nice doesnt equate to doing a good job. Every. Single. Piece of furniture they moved was broken and/or damaged and Im not talking about a little scratch here or there. Handles were bent, the side of a brand new dining room table appears to have been dragged across the truck or ground as it was completely ground down below several layers of paint. My new home was damaged with gauges in the walls and doors, a stairway rail being pulled away from the wall and both of the railings also having gauges in them. Only 3 pieces of furniture were wrapped in plastic, nothing was moved in/out with padding on it, they only draped blankets over things once they were already in the truck, which is likely why everything was damaged the way it was. I was told that my 60" TV would be put into a PADDED TV box that I could rent for $15.00. They showed up without the box, had one delivered a few hours later that had no padding in it. The TV was not wrapped either. They removed the box from the TV while it was on the ramp of the truck when they were unloading and proceeded to drag it across their metal ramp, scratching up the TV. I tried contacting several people while this was going on but didnt get a (email) response until AFTER I advised I wasnt paying the movers until someone called me back. The mover (Noah) said that was "completely fine" and he "totally understood" as this was all "their fault". I was told I would be contacted by someone from claims, its been over a week and Ive heard nothing. Im going to begin contacting all necessary and proper channels to file complaints with all the documented emails/photos I have of the items as they were moving them off the truck and the resulting damage. Im so disappointed with how this was all handled.

I had booked your company for Sunday Sept 10 2017 to remove 2 couches at 11am Our address: XXXXX XXXXXXX Farmington Hills, MI 48331 At 9.29 am I received a phone call from (586-411-xxxx) your employee asking if we still wanted them to come out for an estimate and furniture removal at 11am, because his records show we had another company coming at 10am. I said yes, we canceled the other company and expect you at 11am as scheduled. At 9:55am I received another phone call from (248-320-xxxx) "informing" me that the College Hunks were DONE for the day and that I would have to reschedule my estimate and pick up for another day. I said, No. I dont think so. We have an 11am appointment. I expect you here as promised. After several minutes and what I could tell were 2 men talking to each other about canceling the pick up. The so called gentleman came back and said OK! We are on our way. They arrived a little before 11am, racing down the street pretty fast and passed the house. My husband had to go outside and flag them down. So now I am angry to say the least. They come in, we agree on a price and then when they are opening the truck doors a glass shelf drops in our drive way and shatters. Now we have to go get your workers a push broom and garbage can to clean up the mess. At this point I just want the couches and the 2 so called gentlemen out of my house. We received a $15.00 price break for all the trouble (what a joke) but what is most important from our interaction is that we will NEVER call your company again for the total lack of professionalism. Your company should be called College FRATS act like BRATS! I contacted your so called customer service and Sept 11 with a promise that this would be handled. No one ever contact me. Case #: 103854. I have contacted the BBB and the FL and MI Attorney General about your poor business practices

Jesse, Eric W and Joe are the BEST!Even though they said my move was very organized for them and I had the preparations done for them ahead of time, they went above and beyond to assure my move was stress free.They took extra care with my stuff and both houses to make sure nothing was damaged. They measured and re-measured to get my sectional in with out damage and figured out how to get it in when it would not fit in through the front door. Also, my fridge would not fit in through the Kitchen door so they measured again and brought it in through the front door and over my nice wood floors without any damage!It didnt even take as long as originally estimated. It seemed like it only took a few minutes and I was able to relax that evening in my new house! Of course it was a few hours but even then it was half the time it took to move into the old house.If I ever move again I will most certainly call College Hunks Hauling Junk! I have already recommended you to several people and will continue to call you. Just wish I would have called you the last time I moved. Gloria Connell

I can not rave enough about these guys (and gals). I will never use another moving company again. From day one, the customer service was phenomenal, I have to tip my hat to management on that, you guys are running a great program. On actual moving day, I was beyond frazzled and our movers, Nick and Alex were amazing, and thats saying the least. They were fast, efficient, and so helpful it put me at ease right away. I mean, the company lives up to its name since these two were SUPER gorgeous (hunky, whatever) along with being all-around great guys. On top of everything, the move ended up being half of what they originally quoted me! Which was my fault since I apparently have no idea how to count boxes or furniture. So, in conclusion, if you go with another moving company, you are missing out on a great company with amazing people.

I made my decision to go with College Hunks based on online reviews. I know a lot of you guys do too, so decided I should add my two cents. Matt and Eric were fantastic. I had a rather unconventional move (3 runs of cabinets and the associated granite that I had bought off CL for a kitchen reno) and they worked with me to customize a quote. I was worried that one of the 8ft runs would be too heavy, but they had no problem moving it with just 2 guys. They loaded everything very quickly, but carefully. I had also worried that the granite might break in transport, but they had it so well wrapped that it arrived without a scratch. They also worked hard to find a time that worked around my schedule, and then showed up exactly on time. I would highly recommend them as movers to anyone I know!

I am so happy with our decision to use College Hunks (Madison Heights, MI branch) for our move this past weekend. Our 3 Hunks (Eric W., Mario, and Matt D.) were friendly, polite, efficient, helpful, and professional. They took excellent care of all of our belongings and our home. They communicated well, and made the process of moving worry-free. Hiring College Hunks made our lives a million times easier, accomplishing in less than 3 hours what would have taken us multiple weekends to do; and, of course, it was much easier not having to do it ourselves anyway. Their prices were fair and well worth the money. Even the process of getting a quote and arranging for service was surprisingly easy. I highly recommend this company, and will certainly use them in the future if needed.
