If you hate Charter, you obviously never had to deal with Comcast. I love Charter. Ive only bought internet service through them, yet they never try to sell me garbage I dont want or need. They dont force you to rent their special magical modem for more $$$ per month either. The service is by far the fastest in the area with no data caps. The service also doesnt slow down to a crawl during busy times of the day, like in the evening when everyone is online. When an installation person comes out they are always polite and courteous. If Ive had a question and called customer service, I always get a local representative from the area within a couple minutes. They even chit chat with me about local going-ons in the community. No over seas, cant speak English, reading off a script, cant solve your problem crap. The most important to me, and the biggest problem I had with Comcast is that MY BILL COMES OUT THE SAME EVERY MONTH. Highly recommend Charter.

Our internet service has always been good and theyve never tried to hard to up sell us. However their customer sales representatives out right lied to us about the Charter/Spectrum Roku streaming offer. We went to cancel our service (my fiances and Is because we were moving). When we told them we were canceling they were able to continue on giving us the rate we needed along with telling us that the Roku streaming offer was available at our next apartment complex a really good deal and incentive to stick with them, all they said we needed to do was call once we were settled and theyd activate the service. We move and settle then call and turns out that was a straight lie the offer isnt available in our area and never has been. Which is fine, if theyd been honest with us from the beginning, instead they chose to lie which is the worst thing they couldve done. It leaves me as a consumer feeling tricked!

Worst customer service I have ever seen for existing customers. Literally everything on their website and in their mailings is trying to sell more services with deals for new customers only. Plus, the support staff they do have arent very helpful and direct you around in circles. Directions for how to get assistance explicitly listed on their website (if you can find them in the maze of advertisements), either redirect you to their new customer purchase site or are complete fabrications. Unfortunately, all of the companies in this area for high speed internet are equally as bad, so not much can be done about it. Still, if you can avoid them, do.

I have had charter for 2 years and constantly had problems with the internet. I get phone calls constantly about upgrading and giving them more money. Everytime I have a problem with the internet, they only offer to reset my router. Which works for a few minutes and goes right back out. I tired to cancel now because Im not going to pay 60 dollars a month for no Internet. I explained that the person who opened the account Is no longer here and I want to cancel. But they will not let me cancel it without the person who opened the account. Im done with charter.

Within 48 hrs of installation, I had three receivers. Receiver unit is sub industry standard, records only two channels. Channel guide is high school level graphics. Only goes out 6-8 hrs ahead of present time. Not able to set up series recording. DVR cuts off last 15-30 seconds of recorded program. Quality less sharp than DirectTV. Two tech support not able to correct issue, " thats the system ". Techs,installer, customer service was good. They just have a sub standard equipment and system. Returning equipment today, less than 72 hrs after installed.

I set up an appointment for installation on Tuesday for Friday. I got a call confirming the appointment Wednesday. I got an email confirming the date Thursday. I call Friday morning to confirm. Each time, I am told I am set for Friday at 2:00-3:00 pm. 3:20 rolls around and I call. I am told that I never set up an appointment, and apparently not even my phone number was given to the system. The only reason I am re-scheduling is because there isnt a comparable network in my area.

Today I saw two techs from Charter reunite a little dog with its owner. They were concerned when they saw a small, older dog wandering around the apartments is if lost. I was concerned as well knowing the owner is always close to his dog. The techs were pleasant and kind to the dog and were able to locate the dogs owner. Good representation of the two as young men, and nice representation of Charter. Well done!

Worst customer experience I have ever had. The man showed up 5 mins early, then complained that we were "20 mins late" when we were only 15. He sat in his van and refused to do the service until we called the actual company. I understand time constraints, but his manner of speaking to us was completely rude. I am not looking forward to service with this company if all employees act this way.

They could not install cable the way we wanted even though they said they could. The installer was very rough on our drop ceiling and when I asked him to please be careful he said "Im sorry to disturb your precious drop ceiling". I did not appreciate the sarcasm and I felt that he was extremely rude and arrogant. I am furious with how I was treated. I blame this on poor management.

Possibly the worst company in america. If you want to get screwed to tears and have your bill increase on a daily basis, then getting charter cable is the way to go. If you do and have an issue, at least they also have the worst customer service in the world, where you are ignored and have to resort to a google review to even try to be heard.

Very poor customer service and willingness to fix their own mistakes. Received my first and second months bill 2 months late and was expected to pay a late fee for something I had not received. Fix your own damn problems and dont expect the customer to take a hit for your mistakes.

Took me 2 days arguing online and automated service before they sent tech out to me...turns out someone disconnected my service deliberately. I told them the code I kept getting - you think someone would have looked up code to find problem!

Very poor service ive had this service before and it was never this bad. My box turns on and off whenever it wants i could be watching a show and it will freeze. I wouldnt recommend charter to anyone.
