I switched to Charter after months of poor customer service, Internet issues and slow Internet sppeds. I was paying 50$ a month for 15-16MB down with 1-2MB up service from Frontier, it took them a day to come out and put in a temporary wire (which was fine), but then it took a month and a few office visits to just get the wire put into the ground. With Frontier I would randomly drop internet without much reason; regardless of what Internet provider you choose I would 100% suggest against using a Wireless modem, ask for a standard modem and buy a 30-100$ wireless router, it will help you tremendously. With Charter Im getting 30-60MB down and 5-6MB up, of which is more than enough for 3 indivuals gaming and/or streaming Netflix or Hulu at the same time. I transferred over to Charter and their Triple play (100$ a month + free installlation) because I was locked into 2 year Internet plan and they pay up to 500$ in cancelling fees, Despite having over a year and half left on the contract, it was only about 60$ to cancel. Today Im reducing my plan down to just Internet, seeing as we used the cable may 5 times and never touched the phone, our bill is going to be under 50$ a month with more than twice the speed we had at Frontier. We live on the edge of Cookeville (almost in Baxter) and Im more than happy with Charter being our Internet provider. It seems no matter where Ive lived, Charter has been our ending Internet provider.

The internet is fast when its working right. It seems to really lag when using netflix though and i have over 30Mbps. Be careful if they have to come to your house to fix any problems with their service i have been charged more then once 30 bucks for them fixing their own issues. I was told it would cost nothing but then it shows up on your bill and it takes hours of arguing to get it off. I have went threw multiple boxes they dont last at all. If they are busy they will make you wait a week to come look at your box that is obviously not working so you need a new one. i just take it to the store and get a new one and do it myself. You will have to call to activate the new box though. They are kinda a win lose service not the best but only ones to really choose from unless you want satellite. 7-28-2016 My bill keeps going up went from 30s when i started to 60s and still seems to continue to rise yet they advertise 29.99 tv and internet for new customers and i only currently have internet. so basically if your a loyal long time costumer you get the shaft when it comes to new customers youll get a deal for awhile.

The local charter office in Cookeville TN is the absolute worst business I have ever tried to deal with. They have refused to give us service until after the beginning of the new year claiming there was a funding issue on their part to run the hard-wire from the pole to our apartment building. The lady assured us that everything was in the system and ready as soon as they have the funding. We waited patiently and went today to see when we could get our service connected and the exact same lady claimed that she never heard anything back about it and none of our information was still in the system. They had none of our information they assured us was there.... This has been the biggest runaround and Charter gets by with it because they have a monopoly on this entire area. If there was another option for this area I would definitely take it.

I will Not recommend this place or will be back! I had my internet and cable installed on Feb 27th. Im March 19 I got a 329 dollars bill saying I was past due I had not even a month call the 1866 number and women tryed telling me I owed for 30 days and another month. After having the service was cut off after only having it a month and a week I got another bill saying I owed over 400 dollars few days later another bill came trying to charge me for time it was cut off. Then there tech came to my house twice to pick up equipment when I was not home. He is on video trying to open my door looking in my mailbox looking thur Windows then later he starts looking in my carthat has tinted Windows that was out front he even walked to the front to see if my engine was hot on my car.

I have been with Charter for 2 and half years now. I have the silver triple play package. Its a great deal. Their internet is fast and reliable. Which we use alot of. I play video games online. Meanwhile my wife and kids are able to connect to listen to music or watchange youtube videos no problem. Their TV package is great alot of channels. Clear signal no issues during rain or windy or cloudy weather. And their home services also is amazing clear voice no signal loss. Their wifi is great also. Costs extra for it but is well worth it. They explain that it is a 2 year special after that it does up by 30 dollars. But still is alot cheaper then satellite television which Ive had before. They have greats customer service. And are very helpful.

I have to jump through hoops to pay my bill, the lady in the office is also incredibly rude, the website wont let me log in to pay my bill because "Spectrum does not service your area" and because they dont service my area I cant use their website to get a human to help me, the lady in the office doesnt like my paper temporary ID so she wont let me pay my bill there, the phone robot cant understand my debit card number, and the guy who comes to my door to cut it off wants to charge me a $40 convenience fee, I dont know why its so hard to get them to take my damn money.

Best internet service here. This is the goto place for internet, everywhere else just has outdated, overpriced stuff. My brother also works here, they give their employees some of the best healthcare in the town for dirt cheap prices, and even he says they go above standards to make sure our internet is the best it can be. They do good to both their employees and their customers. I dont have any problems with my internet for the most part. This is the only place you should go to for internet and/or cable.

Anymore I havent got a good thing to say about Charter. We have been with them for many years and it seems like every so many months our bills keeps climbing. Like a $50.00 over night here recently. Leaving our bill $250.00. I will be done with Charter here in the near future. "Looking out for our Customers" not sure I understand the correct definition they use.

It is very expensive ($ 64.99/month). They charge different money for different people. They charge $ 30, 40, 45 and 65 for the same service which is not fair. I am paying now $ 65/month only for internet services which is just too much expensive. I am looking for a good internet services which is less than $50/month.

All I wanted was Internet for our new apartment (no cable or phone). In and out in five minutes, no hassle. The tech was there a few hours later, and I was online and ready to go! In a world where Comcast is usually your only option, Im glad to know Charter is available where we live. Couldnt be happier!
