Wow is an amazing company that tries to go above and beyond for each and every one of their customers. As a customer for over 3 years, yes there have been some bumps and bruises along the way. Yes my service has gone out, equipment gone bad, but what cable provider or any provider for anything has never had an issue. I cant drive my car all day everyday and not take it to the shop every once in a while. These people complaining about being charged a service fee. Come on people get real. Do you go to restaurants and eat dinner for free? Do you take your car to a mechanic and get it fixed for free? You pay a car payment but yet you still have to put gas in the car, you still have to get the oil changed. Its no different than any service out there. Do you do anything in this world for free? If you do please let me know what it is because Id like to look in to it. 80% of these reviews are about the call center (which has nothing to do with the Panama City office) and high bills. The local technicians and local office staff are great people. Teresa is great and always helps me out with my bill and she does it with a smile. Tim the technician I have had out to my house twice and he almost instantaneously knew what my problem was both times. I just thought there needed to be some positivity about this company. We all know people only take time to write negative reviews. So I will be the outsider and write the positive one.

If I could give less that one star, I would. I scheduled an internet installation a week before I moved into my new place. The technician came out and said they needed to turn on something with a buried cable and it "may" be 7-10 business days until someone would come out and evaluate whether I would even be able to have internet service with them. I called and talked to about 15 different representatives finally getting someone who told me that they would schedule a contractor and I would get a call back "in the next few days" about someone coming out to find out if I could get internet. This is after the representatives at WOW telling me that they definitely do service my neighborhood and that they were the only ones that do. Apparently having a monopoly in a neighborhood means you dont have to have any sort of urgency in customer service. I am currently on the phone with them AFTER the technician came and told me everything was set up and ready to be installed, and that an installation would be forthcoming today. However the people on the phone are telling me that not only will it not be done today, that it may be ANOTHER 7-10 business days until a technician can come out and MAYBE set up internet then. I have never hated a company more than I do these people.

Terrible company with terrible customer support! I was hung up on twice today and once yesterday. Each time it takes 10 minutes of being on hold. They signed me into a 12 month agreement even though I didnt complete the agreement confirmation. They pulled the recording but wouldnt let me hear it. I have to believe a shady "supervisor". Record your calls! If you sign up for a 12 month agreement, they will charge a $165 cancellation fee if you cancel early. Even if you move to a location that isnt serviced by WOW, you will be stuck with the cancellation fee. How stupid is it that you get charged the ETF if they do not service that location. Being on military orders is the ONLY way you can avoid it which does make sense. They also illegally charged me for a full month of service (shown as a "partial month") even though my previous payment already covered that month. In addition, they charged for a cable modem ($10) in TWO different locations even that hasnt been on my account for years! (I have my own) They took these charges off, but it makes me wonder how many people they do this to and dont call in to get it back. In twelve months, I will definitely be leaving this crappy company and their shady billing practices. Crooks!!!!

Forced to cancel my services with Comcast due to a move and they do not service my new home. SO unfortunate because even though I am saving a measly $25/month I would gladly pay it after having WOW for only one day. The phone call to choose services was very pleasant and left me hopeful. I chose the medium cable package and got 35mps Internet speed. Scheduled tech the same day between 2:00-6:00 and he arrived promptly at 2:00, which is nice. My love stops here. The cable interface on WOW is absolutely from the stone age! Coming from xfinitys wonderful capabilities I am so disappointed. Cable moves slowly between guides, on demand, etc, there is no search feature that I can find, the option to add favorites is a process to say the least. Im really hoping the services are reliable at the very least because as of now, I think I am paying too much for what Im getting as far as features and usability is concerned. I have less channels than with xfinity, slower Internet speed (I had 50 or 75 with xfinity) and only paid about $25 more.

Recently, my internet has been having to be reset on a daily basis. So, I took the time to call the customer support and see what the issue was. After about 15 minutes of being placed on hold, I get to an actual human. She couldnt help me with my problem but told me my internet speed was 30mbps (which isnt true because Ive done speed tests), meanwhile Ive been paying $70/month for 60mbps. She then transferred me to someone in the technical department, where I was told Ive been paying for 500mbps, which also isnt true. The person in the technical department told me she could upgrade me to 600mbps for $75, only $5 more than what Ive been paying. She then told me that this was a great deal because new customers would have to pay $225/month for 600mpbs which is not true because on the website 1GBs(1000mbps) is only $80/month. However, i agreed to the 600mbps deal. I have done speed tests since being upgraded and I only get 113mbps, and yes I am using an Ethernet cable for maximum speed. Dont recommend getting WideOpenWest(WOW).

wow, of all the places i have lived and had cable through, wow is by far the worst!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it alwaysssss does things i dont ask it to do. tell it to fast forward 1 of the 4 speeds, you may get number 3 or 4 or even jump straight to the end. rewind same thing. play you may go into slowmo. hit play on dvr(id say a quarter of the time), all you get is a black screen. forcing you to start watching something else then try to watch what you wanted to watch again hoping it will work this time. etc, etc, etc............ their cable boxes are so old that the picture in picture (pip) is near the middle of the screen, because its setup to operate with old school tvs(4:3). all you get is a olddddd knology box with a wow sticker slapped in its place. !!!!!!!!!!wow indeed!!!!!!!!!!!! ps if something goes wrong with their stuff, you will do without for 3 days before someone comes to look at it. wow
