We have been working with Chuck for the past 10 years and we HIGHLY recommend him and his services. Not only is he one of the most honest people we know, his rates are also lower than the other shops we looked at in the area. He has told us when it makes more sense for the dealership to service our car instead of him (very rare, but it HAS happened) and he will also tell you if he thinks the work does not need to be done now (come back and see me in another 2,000 miles and we will look at it again). He hasnt charged us for these initial visits when he doesnt do any work so he is not doubling up on service charges, he is just trying to save us some money. Chuck has worked on two different minivans, plus five other different cars from Mercury, Mitsubishi, Honda and Alfa Romeo. We have stumped him a couple times but he has always figured out what the problem has been with our cars. He has come into the shop or worked late to fit our schedule which has saved us a couple of times so we try not to take advantage of his generosity. Chuck also sells used cars on the side and we have bought a car from him for our kids when they started driving. He worked with us to help figure out the best and most reliable car for our boys. I will be looking to him again when this car finally dies (it has 160,000 miles on it now and is still going strong).

Best mechanic apart from family I have EVER used! Chuck was fabulous! As a women showing up to an auto repair shop you never know what to expect but its usually people who think your dumb and can jack up prices. Chuck was the nicest and most honest, he explained everything that needed to be done in detail before doing it and charging, he called to ask what I wanted to do to fix it, he was the least expensive place I found after calling over 8 places, he was cost conscious and told me things that could wait to get fixed so that my bill wouldnt be ridiculous. Lastly my car was a big project and he got it done in 1 day for me and gave me a loaner vehicle that ran great during that time. He and his workers went above and beyond and my car runs great!

My moms truck broke down and she took it to another shop, they gave her a 6 page, highlighted list of work that needs to be done but didnt tell her why it died on her while on the highway. They charged her just to give her that list. She talked to me about it and I called Clark Automotive in Blaine, MN; concerned because she had to work that weekend. He had us drive the constantly dieing truck to his shop (he was willing to pick it up too), same day (Friday)! He looked through the other shops paperwork and chuckled because they did not answer her concerns. Turns out it was the thermometer and a minor leak......Thanks Chuck for the same day service and strait forward answers to the problem. I highly recommend his services and wont go anywhere else!

Chuck has helped us through many ordeals including buying our daughters first cars (making sure we got just the right vehicle for a teenage girl!). We appreciate Chucks honesty, his reasonable prices, getting us in last minute when in a pinch, loaner cars, weekend service, and the list goes on! Clark Automotive is also centrally located just off of Hwy 65 in Blaine, making it very convenient. In a nutshell.......we wouldnt go anywhere else! This is by far the best place to take your vehicle. Chuck is an incredible guy who has the lowest prices around. I was searching for hours for someone who could repair my exhaust manifold for a feasible price and everybody qouted me $400-700 finally found clarks auto clinic and he quoted me $250 over the phone and it came to $240 when it was all said and done. He then later repaired my difficult light situation for an unbeilably great price! HIGHLY recommend him for any auto work you have !!

Bottom line, I dont know what Id do without this shop. Been going here for over 10 years. If my car breaks I dont worry. I know that it will get fixed, with a loaner car and for really good prices. In my area other shops have failed to fix my car and charged me over and over and ripped me off. Its a small shop so dont expect a fancy website and phone apps etc. But do expect to get your car fixed by an really experienced honest mechanic at honest prices. Shop of the year in my book.

Chuck has been super helpful in my used car experience. I took a vehicle to him when I was considering buying it. He does pre-purchase checks - takes about an hour, as he goes all over it, drives it, and gives you a good rundown of potential issues. His assessment helped me drop the price, and I bought the car and took it back to him for some of the needed repairs. He did them for less than I would have expected anywhere else, and does a good job. Hes "my car guy."

I was referred to Blaine Automotive 8 years ago by a satisfied customer. I have been a satisfied customer myself ever since. Their service is the BEST, with reasonable prices, no surprises, and no trying to up-sell on stuff you dont need, like a lot of shops do. Chuck is always up-front and honest, and does great work, bends over backward to help you out. I get my car and my daughters car serviced there- wouldnt go anywhere else.

On good Friday at about 5 pm I had a front brake caliper lock up an caused my wheel to over heat. Luckly I was able to get a hold of Clarks Automotive and stopped in. They focused on me an my issue and had me back on the road in 40 minutes. If I lived in the area I would use Clarks Automotive for all of my car care needs, wish I had a shop like that near me. I started using this shop 4 years ago and he is by far the best mechanic out there. He is honest and doesnt try to pull one over on you. When he repairs your car he shows you the part he replaced and what was wrong with it. We have bought two cars from this shop and we never have to worry that we are getting a bad deal. I will not take my car anywhere else!
