My family and I have been taking our cars to A&A for years, and theyve always been incredibly helpful and nice. However, after bringing one of our cars in for an oil change recently, I have to say that I would never bring my cars to them again. When we took it in for an oil change, my car (not new by anyones standards) had the "check air suspension" light on. We knew it had a problem and were planning on getting that checked out in the next week, but it had been driving fine for the last two weeks with the light on and I hadnt noticed anything different about the way it drove (not that I was taking chances with it). I also want to mention that it was impossible to drive my car without seeing that light: within a minute of turning the car on, the light would come on -right above the speedometer-and ding at you like you had forgotten to buckle your seat belt. After we dropped the car off with A&A, a little while later, we got a call saying the car also needed an air filter. They never once mentioned anything about my air suspension light being on. When I asked them about it, they pretty much wrote it off as no big deal. When I came to pick my car up, the rear end of my car was practically dragging on the ground because the air suspension "air bags" had failed to re-inflate after being taken off of the lift. They knowingly turned off my air suspension system, after seeing that the light was on, without telling me that they were going to do so to put it on the lift. I understand that you need to do that to put a car with air suspension systems on a lift, but dont you think that if there was a problem with the air suspension system you would talk to the customer before doing something like that since you couldnt know how it would effect the vehicle? My car is no longer drivable and A&A failed to admit any wrong doing. Please, if you value your cars, particularly you no longer new cars, dont take them to A&A.

Terrible customer service. Bring your car here if you wanna be ripped off and argued with. They will find ANYTHING wrong with your car and blow it out of proportion. No surprise here right? most service shops will do this up selling, the difference with this particular good year is that they are very rude and pushy when you say no. If the customer says no it means NO, it does not mean argue with the customer. I kindly asked them if i could explain a problem Im having with my vehicle and if they could tell me what could possibly be the issue. I did not ask them to work on my car for free, i did not ask them to look at it for free, i simply asked a question VERBALLY. The guy rudely told me they cant do this and that i would have to pay a 100$ diagnostic fee, then they can tell me the problem, but no free questions. Later another guy came out and was more helpful and spent 5 or so minutes with me explaining what it could be. Be very careful of these guys, the employees are rather sketchy looking and will recommend services not even your car manufacture recommends. He told me he changes his synthetic oil every 2k miles and he does 100k maintenance every 25k. Thats all fine and dandy, but he most likely does this himself on his own TIME with his own TOOLS and MONEY, something i obviously dont have if Im in your shop. They will try to get every dime they can out of you, careful. There is much better choices in burns ville/apple valley.

I stopped by last fall because I was noticing some vibration on the steering wheel shortly after I had gotten work done at a different Good Year auto shop out of town. I asked if they could take a look quick and they told me they were going to charge me $30 to just lift my car. I have dealt with numerous auto shops and have NEVER been charged to lift the car. I told them this and both the front desk woman and an additional man said this was so important to do to ensure nothing was wrong with my car... I told them I refused to pay $30 to lift my car and could go across the street to BP and they wouldnt charge me a dime. The two workers kept going in circles about the importance and that I should just pay so that my car doesnt encounter an unexpected problem. I did not feel comfortable with them and they did not seem trustworthy at all. The woman especially did not seem to know anything about cars. Clearly trying to make money and not earn loyalty. I went over to BP afterward and they gladly helped me. Needless to say I will never return.

When I moved to the twin cities in 2008 I took my car across the street to the nearest mechanic. Im not much of a car guy (shocking I know), but they have treated me very well ever since. I still live across the street and I still take my car to them. In particular I totaled my dads car in early 2009. He had died only a little over a year before. In trying to figure out which used car to buy they did not take advantage of me and suggested I buy the Saturn that Im still driving because the Malibu would cost more to repair with it being a 6 cylinder. Not only that but every time I take my car in for an oil change they are more than happy to blow out my vacuum filters for me. The people there are the best and dont mind being sociable with their customers either. In fact, if I ever move a little further away I will undoubtedly continue to take my car there.

My brought my 02 Saturn here for a stuttering & idle problem. I work with the manager Alex who seemed legit. He advised me on $600 of labor to clean the intake manifold as carbon build-up was the culprit. I asked him "are you %100 certain this is the problem" he confirmed his master mechanic was certain. After I picked up the car, the problem still existed. Chris was working this day and claimed the mechanic said "it is running 10x better than it was..." He also accused me of refusing one of Alexs recommendations (he stated I declined to replace EGR valve). He was unwilling to stand behind his work and total cost was $700 down the drain. I followed up with Alex to let him (the manager) know about my issue with the service and with Chris. He would not contact me back. Avoid this shop, they do not honor their service.

I have found this place to be nothing but overpriced and with poor customer service. I recently was there getting an oil change and overheard them talking smack about an angry customer. Coincidently "or not", I have heard this happen two out of the three times I have received serviced there. They are very good at finding problem issues and giving you estimates that are 30-40% higher than most repair shops. I also have heard that there tire prices are much higher when compared to places like Discount Tire. Overall, I would highly recommend finding a repair shop with much better reviews than A & A. Also, please note the "5 star" reviews below and look for common repair shop slogans! There is a high probability that A & A staff wrote the previous "5 star" reviews.
