Terrible service. I had a Groupon for an oil change, tire rotation, and wiper blades and so I called to schedule an appointment (as instructed) and the guy answering informed me that its first come first serve (while making it sound like I was an idiot for even trying to make an appointment). So I get off work early and get there by 3:45pm and am told that theyll barely fit me in, to be back before 6pm, and they refused to call me when it was done ("just be back before 6 if you want your car"). So I left my car there and at 4:57pm I get a phone call saying they cant do anything because the car alarm went off. I informed them what to do to turn it off (its my car, I know how it works) and instead of doing it they just tell me to get back there. Head back, its literally 5:01pm (4 minutes later), and they tell me they hope they can still get my car in because they started working on someone elses. They finally take my car back, get it done, and then at the end I receive a bill for $10 (after already paying the $33 groupon). I was too furious to question it there, but when I took it home it turns out the bill was supposedly tax for "$99 worth of services" from the groupon. I have never been charged anywhere near $100 for an oil change, tire rotation, and new wiper blades. To top it all off, my coworker had the same groupon for a different Car X (on Lake street) and she was able to make an appointment, they informed her of everything they did and how it all looked, and wasnt charged a dime. If you need to go to a Car X, Id suggest avoiding this one and heading up to Lake street, its definitley worth it.

I asked them to figure out why my brakes stopped working. They called me to tell me I needed new calipers, rotors and pads. I told them I did routine maintenance on my car and didnt believe this was the problem. They insisted. I said that I wasnt standing right there, they were the "experts" and that they could go ahead and replace them but I would need to see the ones they pull off so I could see why they needed to be replaced. They agreed that would be fine. When I picked the car up they said they couldnt show me the parts they removed because they were just thrown in a big bin and they couldnt pick mine out. Hesitantly I paid hundreds of dollars for replacement parts. I drove off and 100 yards down the road my brakes failed again. Not wanting them to bilk me for hundreds of more dollars, I went through the steps to diagnose the problem myself... the brake reservoir had a leaky seal. Fixed it for $50 myself.

Getting off a 12 hour night shift I walk outside to see my tire is flat. It is also raining and cold. I cant get my tire off with the dumb wrench thing in the rain and want to cry. I call ahead and arrange to get towed to this place and get a towing suggestion from Richard (the price of the fifteen minute, half mile tow from Kim seemed completely absurd at 80 dollars, but thats another story). Richard, the dude at the counter and on the phone, seemed nice. Sarcastic and a bit blunt, but nice. They got my tire fixed roughly 30 minutes later. I leave smiling despite wanting to cry. They didnt try to sell me anything else, and were overall nice. I made it home alive. I have no idea what the average cost of patching a tire is, really... so I cant attest to their prices being high or low... but they were able to get me in right away which is worth it.

Got a oil change done and tire rotation. Oil change was fine but, 1,000 miles est. later started hearing a loud noise. When I got home I went to my trunk and pulled out my lug wrench and discovered that a lug nut fell off and the remaining four were barely on the threads of the hub. Went to my neighborhood garage that I shouldve never left and had to pay $25.00 to tighten and replace lug nut. But I at least I know its done right. Also my wife brought her 13 GMC Terrain in and used my free oil change coupon and they told her that it needs synthetic. Only high performance and hard working work trucks need it. Its a preference for all other cars. I wished she wouldve called me first. At least the coupon was applied to the oil change and she can go longer before getting another one. Absolutely the last time they will see our two cars.

I came in to get my brakes, oil change and tires balanced. They got done pretty fast, so I thought to myself, damn I hope they didnt rush the job so much that they sacrificed good workmanship. So I followed up later that week to check if my oil change was actually changed. My oil wasnt changed, my fluids werent topped off, so if I would have kept on driving eventually something could have been totally wrong. Then even on top of that the balancing of my tires didnt seem to be done because my steering wheel was still shaking. So I took my car back to get it re-checked. They misdiagnosed my tire balance for a semi bent rim, so I paid for a tire balance that I didnt even need. Then they didnt even offer to make it correct with anything, so I dont recommend these people at all!

I have kept inexpensive used vehicles to keep my 4 kids in cars, so Ive used these guys for years. I am mechanically knowledgeable but I dont have time or inclination to maintain 3 kid-cars myself, beyond routine easy stuff, so Car-X gets the brakes, timing belts, A/C, some tires, thermostats, radiators, exhaust systems, bearings, etc. I get along well with them -- each and every one. They see me often. They are honest and charges are fair. They let me into the shop to see for myself whats going on. They do not seem to "churn my account" or sell me stuff I dont need. Theyve been very nice about giving me a ride home, too.

By far the best place to get your car fixed in Richfield. My wife and I have been taking both of our cars in for everything. Richard, Jason and George are all extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgable and will do right by you. On many occasions they have saved me hundreds of dollars so we recommended them to friends and family. Everyone that has gone there has been very happy and they all have gotten better deals and quality work. Highly recommend.

The environment is welcoming in this location. They accept walk-ins even though its been a crazy Monday. On top of that their services are good and prices are competitive compared to other auto service location Ive used to. They were able to recommend the best stuff for my car and Ive left their compound with piece of mind. Im looking forward for future oil change and car inspection services from them.

I always get good service here and have been going here for over ten years. Ive even had a few freebies thrown in when Ive had some weird issue with my car after it turned eleven years old. Acknowledging I know nothing about cars except gas makes them go (for now) and bears makes them stop, Ive never felt taken advantage of before. They all seem very honest and straight forward.
