I was very disappointed with my massage service. I called and made two appointments, one for me and my friend. I was offered multiple slots, and said it didn’t matter when, I just needed a very strong therapist. I had hoped that this would have meant that I would have been assigned a seasoned therapist who uses firm pressure. I was brought back to the room late. The room was freezing and the warming on the bed was not turned on. There was no music for the first 20 minutes or so and the noise from the hallways was very distracting. The music abruptly started, and was very startling. I asked specifically for an area on my back that had been bothering me to be worked on and requested not to have any head massage or oil in my hair. Neither of these requests were honored and I felt that the massage was nothing more than feeling like my body had been lightly touched, virtually no pressure at all, mostly she just used her forearms for the massage. Areas were completely missed, my neck, shoulders, hands, upper arms were not even touched. I was never asked about the pressure or my comfort. The massage seemed to be over very quickly, and when I went into the quiet room, I noticed my friend was not out yet, so I went to the bathroom. It was 10:45. With being brought back late, left to change before and after, the had sell for all the up charges, I estimate I had about a 35 minute massage. I would expect that for a $100 massage that I would be getting the full hour. I would also expect that a good therapist would be checking in on the client to make sure they are fulfilling their needs. I am a frequent spa goer, I am very familiar with how things should be and what entails a good service. I kept quiet at the time because I did not want to ruin my friends experience. I am also very disappointed that everything was an up charge, aroma therapy, etc. For $100 a scented oil is not even included? I forgive little things all the time, no place is perfect, but there were so many glaring insufficiencies here.

On April 13th I scheduled a couples massage and requested one female massage therapist for myself and scheduled this with Destin. The following day after realizing that I needed two female massage therapists, I called in again and talked to Destin once again and made the change. It took her a few minutes to get logged into that account but she confirmed that we had two female massage therapists. Once we made it to our scheduled session on Saturday the 15th we were greeted by a male and a female. Once we told them we requested two females we were required to wait an additional which is understandable, but when I went up to our room while waiting the two other front desk people were rudely talking about us. I should have cancelled our session right then and there, but I had spent a lot of money on the hotel, dinner and everything else for the weekend and I did not want this too ruin our relaxing day. Once we made it to our session we were brought into an oddly shaped, long room where our tables were situated in a fashion where our heads were at the opposite ends of the room. This was like no other couples massage that I had ever seen before. Other places allow you to see each other face to face and touch hands if you reached out to one another. That was not the case here, this felt like you were in 2 complete different rooms. At the end of the day, I would highly suggest you spend your money somewhere else, which is sad because the hotel is beautiful and the 2 companies in tandem could be a great thing. It is not a great thing, however. I was really disgusted by how the front desk workers were so openly and rudely talking about my partner and I and how they were laying the blame on us for the situation (the ones that were working @ 5:15pm on 4/15/17).

Really enjoyed this luxury experience. Wonderful customer service and friendly accommodating staff. I took a client with developmental disabilities here (Im a PCA), and the manager helped us find what we needed and assigned wonderful staff to work with us. My client had a 55 min massage with Ty who has experience doing massage for people with autism and he was just wonderful. He really made us feel comfortable and made appropriate accommodations to fit our specific needs. My client also tried a a pedicure, manicure, and got her hair done. We had excellent service and friendly, flexible staff who made appropriate accommodations for my clients needs. We also thoroughly enjoyed the relaxation lounge, whirlpool, and womens lounge full of everything you would need to feel very pampered and comfortable. This is my ideal type of relaxation experience. In a manner of advice, I might say that you could get comparable nail and hair service at other places--once you find a person you like, it makes sense to stick with it! So if that is all you want, I might recommend somewhere else just because its cheaper. What really makes Ivy Spa Clubs great experience is the quiet, dimly lit, luxurious lounge with beverages and fireplaces; the womens/mens lounges with everything you need to get spiffed up; and the whirlpool/sauna/steam room area. All of this is free with any purchase.

I went in for a gel manicure and lunch was and dissatisfied with everything. First of all, we put in a lunch order and it was delivered right when our manicures started. How are we going to eat during a manicure? By the time we were done, the food was cold and gross. Then, one of my nails chipped and another peeled halfway off two days later. They let me come in on a Saturday and get them fixed. One was repainted and the other the chip was filled in, which I thought was strange. That same one chipped again after 2 days. Then, today, only 6 days after my manicure I scratched my arm and entire nail came off! This is supposed to be gel polish! I spend a fraction of the price at dive nail parlor and it lasts 3+ weeks. Theirs didnt even make it to one week. So disappointing. I am going back to my salon tomorrow and never returning to the Ivy.

I am surprised by so many negative reviews of this spa! I had a body treatment this past weekend, and loved everything about the place - from the receptionist to the changing room attendant who showed me around to the treatment provider, everyone was friendly, helpful, professional and courteous. The facilities are great, clean and pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. The service I received was phenomenal! I read some reviews where the guests received shortened massages or services, so I purposely looked at the clock, I had the opposite experience. The therapist was exceptional! Her deep tissue massage was spectacular. I definitely recommend Sarah. I will be going back to the Ivy.

I was disappointed. The service prices were on the high-side, however I did not feel the extra expense was worth it considering the level of skills demonstrated by the staff. My massage was underwhelming, and the Signature Pedicure was not worth all the hype. I think the worst part was the front desk staff/service. Theyre very disorganized, and not only caused scheduling confusion with my party, but while I was there, I overheard issues and complaints by several other spa guests. They also had a bit of an "attitude" and were not-so-friendly whatsoever. I paid good money to enjoy a day of relaxation and pampering and I did not feel it was worth it. I wouldnt go back.
