My pontiac started giving me a "reduced engine power" signal. I brought it to midas with high hopes, ignoring the multiple people that had advised against it. Spent $150 to flush the transmission didnt work. Spent about $200 for a water pump, didnt fix it. Finally after spending $90 for a diagnostic to pinpoint the EXACT problem I was promised the throttle body is the one and only issue causing my cars problem. Being optimistic about the mechanics ability to do his job I paid 707.91 to get it fixed. After 3 days the issue came back even worse. I left my car with them twice for a few hours so they can figure out whats wrong with my car. The mechanic finally told me "I dont know whats wrong with your car". I left it with them again for a day to fix the issue I had already paid for to find out my transmission was failing. During this ENTIRE process no one had mentioned anything about the transmission either because they were trying to get as much money as possible, or because they just didnt know what they were doing. Each time I brought my car to midas a new problem appeared which leads me to believe they purposely tampered with parts of my car to keep me coming back. After calmly asking for a refund they told me "no", and "we fixed your car, new things just came up". Even corporate and the franchise manager were 0 help. Instead of talking about my $707.91 refund he tried to sell me a midas credit card to pay for the new transmission. Midas clearly just cares about squeezing as much as they can out of a person before they come to their senses and go somewhere else. Just a piece of advice, the stories you hear about midas are %100 true and I can vouch for it. You will be much happier and a lot more satisfied if you go to another mechanic who understands cars and has a passion for it, rather than someone who follows step by step instructions on a computer screen.

On Friday my family van broke down with a broken serpantine belt. I was 30 miles from home in Lake Elmo and I didnt know who to call to get it repaired. I thought about my brother who goes to Seth Johnson and his team at Roseville Midas for the past 12 years for his auto repairs and maintenance. I called him and got Seths phone number. I called Seth and explained what happened with the belt and told Seth I would get AAA to tow it to Midas in Roseville. On Saturday Seth looked at the van and called me with the estimate of the repair.I said go ahead. Seth and his team got the repair done on time and exactly on estimate cost. I thought this was why my brother continues to bring his cars to Seth for the past 12 years. It is difficult to find and a honest auto repair shop in todays world. I knew I found a honest auto repair shop at Seths Midas in Roseville. Seth and his team went above and beyond to correct my problems. Seth and his team took the extra steps to make sure it was repaired correctly. Seth made me a customer for life. I will drive 60 miles round trip to get my cars repaired with Seth and his team at Midas in Roseville. I will recommend Seth to everyone I know, Thanks Seth and your team !!!

Blew a brake line across the street from the Roseville Midas. Im always leery of mechanics I havent been to before! Walked in, said "I blew a brake line" Seth peeked around the corner and asked "Escape?" Me..."Yep" He worked up a quote in about a minute that, like everyone else thought was too high but what can I do? Its about 5:30 pm, they close at 6, and I have somewhere to be by 7pm. Only problem now is to get parts before 6:00... I run across the street and carefully drive my Escape over, while Seth drives my wife across the street to get Wings! (It was raining, she was hungry, if Momma aint happy...just dont!) I pull right into the shop, Seth lifts her up, and 2 guys start going to work! The parts showed up at 10 to 6, I drove out at 10 after 6, and Seth charged me less than his earlier quote! I caught up with my wife, had wings, and made it to our scheduled event by 7! Ive only written 1 review for a shop before...that one was the worst experience Ive ever had in my life! Seth and the Roseville Midas Crew have taken a big step in restoring my confidence! Thanks for the great service and the smiles!

My mother in law went into this Midas a couple weeks ago. they told her that she needed to get her serpentine belt, brake pads, and an AC hose replaced. all three of which are really easy fixes but they wanted to charge her over $3000!!! she called me to do the repairs for her so on my way over i picked up the belt and pads not knowing which hose needed the repair. but once i got to her house and started to work on her issues things started to not add up.. her belt looked fine but my 1st thought was oh well honest mistake so i put the new one in anyways . then i started working on the brakes.. this is where i really became upset with this company! on all 4 of her brake pads she had over 75% of her break bad left! they we definitely trying to take advantage of her $3000 for those three simple repairs is ridiculous to begin with but she didnt even need to do any of them! Midas is a dishonest place looking to make a quick buck at the expense of uneducated people trying to pray off the weak. i am ashamed in midas and will tell everyone i know about their dishonest activity.

Ive been taking my car and my mothers van to both the shops that Seth owns (in Roseville and on West 7th St at 35E in St Paul) for over 5 years and I have always been very happy with the service. The service manager at Roseville, Dan, has always been very helpful in choosing which of my needed and pending repairs and/or maintenance will fit into my budget :) Ive been very pleased with parts, labor and cost - other shops (like the tire shop or my original dealership) consistently recommended unneeded repairs, and when I have brought these concerns to Midas Roseville they dismiss most of them after examining my car, and tell me the repairs that the other businesses urgently recommended are not necessary for X number of miles. I now bring my car and van exclusively to Midas for ANY repairs. Midas Roseville and W 7th have never treated me like the dealership did (ie, take one look at me, as a woman, and decide to screw me over because I dont understand the technical car talk). Thank you, Seth, for your integrity and the high degree of technical capability of your crew :)

Went here not too long ago and had all 4 tires replaced on my bmw. The price seemed reasonable and compared to the other places I checked this place was the cheapest. I made an appointment got there and they told me it was take at least an hour or so and so I had my friend come pick me up and we did some shopping at Rosedale mall. We come back over 2 hours later and on our way back about a mile from the Midas shop I see my car being driven down the road. We get to the shop and I tell them Im here to pick up my car and they said its "still being worked on but its almost done". I see my car roll in to the parking lot 2 or 3 minutes later. Im young and it was my first time ever replacing tires on my vehicle so I didnt ask any questions but I thought it was very odd that they drove my car around. I asked friends and family and they said theyve never heard of that. I dont know why they felt the need to drive it around, if they mounted and balanced my tires properly then there shouldnt be an issue. Other than that I thought service was great.
