Rent keeps going up and there are homeless people sleeping in the halls, peeing on walls, light bulbs dont get changed leaving you in darkness when you visit your unit, and rats running all over the place. My furniture was completely destroyed by rodents! They were covered by plastic wrap and tape and the rats chewed through it. My living room set was covered in rat feces and pee, wooden furniture chewed through, and they claimed it wasnt covered by the third party insurance they charge me for every month. Mind you, Im paying for a climate controlled unit and extra for monthly extermination! Absolutely disgusting facility and unprofessional/rude staff. Rent just went up another $20 this month and nothing has improved. Ridiculous! To Update: September 7th, 2016 Just received yet another notification of rent increase. I check my unit multiple times a month and there have been no changes other than people sleeping there. They explained that the rent increase is due to the improvements of clean halls and replacing a new door. Im sorry, isnt that covered by your insurance? Ill be shopping around for a new storage facility.

I walked in the door 5 minutes before closing time and asked if they could help me now or should I come back tomorrow. Melodie, pleasantly said now was fine and spent the next 30 minutes setting me up with my new unit and providing me with excellent customer service. The unit I was renting needed to be swept. When she asked her co-worker Louis to sweep it out while she processed the paperwork, he quickly and pleasantly went to do it. Now, I know how frustrating and annoying it can be to have a customer show up 5 minutes before closing needing 30 minutes of help. These two service representatives were so courteous and efficient, that I never felt like they were trying to hurry up and get me out of there. Excellent customer service! Thanks so much.

Get to know the new SIMPLY STORAGE in Bloomfield, NJ. - GROVE STREET. I am a storage renter for over 8 years. My rating is based on specific people that take the greatest care of you! 5 stars for Vicki, Luis, Melody, the team! You would think it was a family owner operated business. The fact anyone complains about the upkeep is not the fault of the people who work there. Storage is SIMPLY what you pay for....You save a few dollars at this storage location and its extremely convenient to stores that are not as easily accessed at other storage facilities. One thing for sure I know that the people working here will "look out for you" when you need them!

Ive been storing at this facility for at least three years. The reasons: 1) Its really convenient to get to by car, bus, or light rail. 2) The units are really spacious. 3) Its well-lit and feels safe. 4) The adjacent Staples and other stores are useful. My Mom just died and I had to return to my unit to search for some sentimental items. I met Vicki, the new manager. She was very helpful in explaining the new hours and new procedures to make the building even better for patrons. I finally found an old picture of my Mom that meant a lot to me. I was really happy to know my items were stored at Simply Self Storage.

Simply Self Storage of Grove Street has been extremely reasonable with their pricing and service. They are conveniently located near various forms of public transportation (NJ Transit, specifically), which is ideal for accessibility, to and from the facility. Best of all their storage facility is ready-and-available for more hours than any other facility in the local area. Their staff has always been courteous and cooperative with every transaction that I have experienced. By leaving your belongings with the Tripple S, you will know that dependability and quality are stored up in their service.

What a change has come over this storage place!!! I think it has something to do with a new operator they have there(Vicky?). I was in the office when she was renting some space and she explained everything to a customer who had never rented storage before. She took her time and made that man at ease with his decision to rent there. I even felt better about renting there after hearing her explain the dos and donts of storage. The team also seems eager to please following this ladys lead. I also noticed a marked improvement in the cleanliness of the building. What a change a few months make.

Vickie is super terrific. I am currently going through a medical crisis and I now reside out of state. Due to not being able to work and being on disability, Ive had to stretch pennies and try to stay afloat so of course I ended up behind on my storage unit incurring all sorts of late charges. Vickie was superior in helping me to find a fair solution to bring my storage account current while prioritizing the companys goals. I truly appreciate the great customer service.

My husband and I did not anticipate needing a large unit so we grossly underestimated. Before the month was finished we had 2 units but more to store. Vickki and Nelson were wonderful!! They put us in a larger unit and allowed us to close out the other 2 with minimal costs. They didnt have to do this but are so helpful and considerate!! Thanks to them we have everything stored. Please use this storage facility. Theyre the best!

Be wary. I had a high value item stolen from my unit. From my recollection only the staff was aware of the item. No one else was around. Do NOT buy your lock from them even though it appears factory sealed. No cameras monitoring the hallways. Filed a police report, they seem to be aware that there is a problem. Dont bother with the insurance, after you jump through all the hoops, they will deny your claim.

Was told multiple times prior before renting the unit that my first month would be 100 percent free. Once I go to rent the storage I am told that I was only getting 50 percent off. The only reason they gave me 50 percent was because I asked about the promotion that was suppose to be applied to my account(they werent even going to apply the promotion). Go to a place that wont lie to your face.

Simply Storage Bloomfield is an amazing facility to store your belongings. The place is clean, doesnt have that moldy smell that most storage facilities usually have and is always well lit. The staff is very friendly and is always willing to work with you if you have any needs. The rent is very reasonable too so I suggest that you store your things here.
