I was left completely speechless after my experience at the Jiffy Lube in Bridgewater, NJ. I went in for an oil change and everything was going fine. The mechanics were very friendly and very professional. However, they were having trouble opening the hood of my car and after approaching me about it, they kept trying to open it rather than saying they cant get it open and they unfortunately cant service my car. I witnessed them probing things and shoving things under the hood of my car and then they finally got it opened. Thirty minutes later and they finally came to tell me that they were now having trouble closing the hood because the latch was broken. I told them what they were going to do about it and they said they were going to tie my hood down and then send me on my way. I asked when I could come back to have them fix the latch since I fully believe it was their fault that it now wouldnt close and they said that this was not their fault, was a "preexisting problem" and they would not fix it because they did not have the tools. I told them that I expected them to at least cover the mechanic bill for whatever place I sent to have my car fixed and they told me they would not since it was a "preexisting problem". I asked them how it was "preexisting" because if it was a "preexisting problem", the hood would always be open and would fly open whenever I drove. They all looked at each other like a group of deer in headlights and told me they couldnt (or better yet, wouldnt help me). My mom and stepdad came to this Jiffy Lube and my stepdad drove my car home that night because he would be able to tie it up again incase it opened while driving home. I got the name and phone number of the manager and tried reaching him for days until they finally told me he was there. When I spoke to him on the phone, he was already 100% convinced that this wasnt his problem and wouldnt even listen to what I had to say. What happened to treating the customer with respect and listening to what they had to tell you about the service of your business? He told me to come the following week so he could take a look at it. That night, my stepdad fixed my car and I did not go see the manager or call him to tell him that I would not be going. Considering he knew how upset my family and I were about this situation, you would think he would call to see what happened when I did not show up on our scheduled day and time. Instead, he did not and I have not heard back since. Absolutely horrible professionalism and service from the manager. Will never go again and will make sure my family and friends dont go either

I have no Idea what the Debbie downers are talking about that give bad reviews to this Jiffy Lube, But I have been bringing two cars to this Jiffylube for 6 years and all I can say is every time I come The service is Exceptional. They NEVER uncharge me, they actually bring the filters out to you to see and you decide if you want to change it or not. They never do anything that you dont need or is not recommended by the manual. And I have checked believe me, I always have my owners manual with me for both my Camry and Mazda. They are Spot on. There are some people that you just cant satisfy. I used to take my Camry and Mazda to the dealership util I discovered Bridgewater Jiffy lube. They are Honest, very price competitive, and absolutely wonderful people, all of them from Gilberto to all the mechanics to the cashiers. I cant say enough about this Jiffy Lube, and all the negative reviews on this post are people you just cant satisfy now matter what you do. I am OCD about oil changes and fluid changes and I couldnt be more satisfied. Absolutely better then the Dealerships. Dont pay any attention to the debbie downers on this post. They are the best people and jiffy lube EVER!

Been going here for 7 years. Ive never had an issue with damage being done to any of my vehicles. The $35 "Signature Service" oil change is more than just the oil and filter - they clean your windows, vacuum the floors, inflate tires, top off windshield washer fluid and battery, check your head, tail, and signal lights, and check your engine and cabin air filters. Theyll change bulbs and filters on the spot for an extra charge. I could do all that myself, but in 20-30 minutes? So, I cant argue with the price. They recommend coolant flush, trans change, tire rotation, and now power steering fluid change at regular mileage intervals. You say "no thanks" or "not today" theres no twisting your arm, they leave it at that. The folks are always friendly but unfortunately the faces seem to change every 6 months. I wont say the negative reviewers are crazy; I approach any mechanic with a healthy dose of skepticism. But I do recommend this place.

They are either very deceptive or ill-informed ! Brought in my 1-year old car for a Signature Oil Change with conventional oil. The previous two oil changes that were done were provided for free from the dealer. This was the first oil change I did outside the dealer and didnt think to check before-hand on the recommended oil type. The mechanic came out and told me that the manufacturer mandates that only synthetic oil can be used. I challenged him and asked where that is documented. He said its in the Owners Manual and in his computer. Reluctantly, I agreed because I wasnt able to verify quickly and was in a rush. When I got home, I checked the Owners Manual. Sure enough - While synthetic was recommended, conventional oil can definitely be used. It was only a $4 up-sell. I really dont know if it was an intentional deception or if they really dont know better. But either way, my trust in them is totally shot and I wont be returning.

I took my car to get a coolant flush. After they were done and i went to drive the car away, the coolant light came on. One of their technicians assured me everything was fine and that the sensor just gets stuck after a flush. The sensor on my car is in the overflow bottle, which looked empty to me so I asked them to open it and look. Sure enough it was empty so they pulled the car back in and filled it. Two days later the light comes on again. I open the bottle and its empty again! I put about a half gallon coolant in. buyer beware
