I would not recommend Weico based on my experience. I placed an order for custom cable and was quoted a lead time of 2 weeks. Its on paper, I did not imagine it. When two weeks came and went, I called to find out the status of my order. It took 4 unreturned calls before, on the fifth attempt, someone would give me order status. I was told that when their printed quote says “Delivery Date: 1-2 Weeks” that it does not include the time it takes for them to enter the order into their system and process the payment information. Apparently that takes a week? It boils down to this: when I’m late delivering a product to one of my customers because of things I can’t control, I call them, I explain the situation, and I apologize even if it isn’t my fault. I don’t try to invent insultingly thin excuses for my failure to deliver in the quoted time or try to avoid talking to them by not returning their calls. If Weico had been honest and apologetic about their schedule slip, I would have understood. It’s their entirely unprofessional response to the delay that I find more unacceptable than the delay itself. I could go on at length about the exchanges which I had with them but just suffice it to say that I was left disgusted by their apparent inability to comprehend that they could be asked to deliver in the time they quote. While the quality of their end product is excellent (if they ever get around to sending it to you), the service is just not worth the aggravation to me. As a professional engineer, I have been buying materials for projects for a long time now and my dealings with Weico have been, by far, the most infuriating procurement experience of my career.

I’m going to be a repeat customer! Based on a previous google review, I was hesitant to order from Weico, though friends in the industry recommended them to me. I gave it a shot and I have to say, my experience was really good! I placed my order right before a holiday, and was worried that would hold things up, but it arrived on time, and with everything as it should be. A flawless experience. I’ll definitely be back!
