This tall building looks just brand new, everything working perfectly, from the painting of its walls, to the water fountains, to the 4 HUGE elevators, up to the ambient music, flawless! ...................... This place has automatic doors and excellent security with individual pin #, also to access only our rooms floor. ........................ In the past Ive used 3 other warehouses, and can say that this one is absolutely the best, along w/ affordable introdutory rates. ........................ All rooms in different sizes shown to me were clean and properly set. ........................................ The front desk: great staff of young ladies, very friendly, quite patient, and knowledgeable. Local management takes care of any single request, in no time: just ask for, and poof, you got it! .........................................................The time NICOLE spent discussing my needs and all the details about access, facility hours, etc, was extremely pleasant, and main reason for me to take a 2nd smaller room where I can store only personal belongings! ..... I, Ms. McFadden, and my family were served by Public Storage Professional, Ms. Jasmine R. on March 23rd, 2017. Ms. Jazz was professional, cordial, and extremely attentive, as it related to answering any questions that we had. Her patience was genuine and she treated us as valued customers. Ms. Jazz demonstrated profound attention to detail, which made us supremely comfortable with our choice of Public Storage for our needs. Her working relationship with other members of the Public Storage rental facility was evident, as all of the interactions reinforced an atmosphere of superior customer service. We have been so impressed with Ms. Jazzs quality of effort on our behalf that we are not hesitating to refer family, friends, and acquaintances alike to this Public Storage location in general, and to Ms. Jazz specifically! Ms. Jazz is an asset to your company and someone whose work ethic you can be proud of. From our point of view, she represents and personifies the best qualities that your company seeks to portray to the average customer. Your company should be commended for its hiring practices and training regimens that support an employee such as her.

This public storage unfortunately has the look but not the brain. Its employees with very few exceptions lack desire/capacity to do the job properly-unless advices from its managment to chit customers. The one on uniforms will mess up the payments and agreements big time. Try to get them over the phone and will see yourself at Lincoln Center on music for 30 min straight and no others to pick up the phone, unless you have a lbunch of cell phones to call simultaneously and get all lines. Their bathroom has no soap, one works, the other one, not at all, unless fixed after this review. Despite trying to be as patient and respectfull there is a point they will take away from you. No brain of whatsoever why the customer is upset, they just want to put fees and think that you are idiot like them and pay without thinking. Does managment knows what goes on and have they ever taken serious measures to fix this problem? Oh, there are no cameras in the floors, only main hallways, entrances, and parking. Someone may kill/harass you in the paths/unit areas and pack you in and no one will find out in centuries.

Renting the unit at this location feels like we have an extended family, or a membership in a club. We never expected to actually like going to our storage facility, but this one felt right from the start! The staff gave us a warm welcome with their excellent customer service. Eunice was so kind and patient, as we were struggling through the difficult decision process. She gave us good advice, and assurance we needed. She helped us to explore all options, and answered all our 1001 questions with a smile. When we were ready to commit, we were pretty sure we made the right choice for our requirements (as was proved to be true later, when all our things fit perfectly into the space). This made our move so much less stressful, we are very grateful. The facility itself is very conveniently located, a quick and easy car or subway ride from the UWS, and short walk from the subway station. It is a new space, clean and airy. We like to be optimistic, and hope it stays that way. The only caveat is the low lighting conditions over the unit itself, though hallway is bright lit.

If you ever have the need for using a storage facility, this is the one you should come too. The client rep, Jessica, was the most helpful and knowledgeable person I could have hoped for. From the first time I stepped through the doors, for my initial appointment, to the day I actually moved in, Jessica, made my experience moving there very pleasant. She really understands customer service in a way that most, these days, dont. She gets that the being polite, accommodating and attentive to the needs of the client is of the utmost importance and all with a sense of humor too! Jessica needs to be cloned so others in the service industry can see what customer service looks like, and not that robotic crap that passes these days. I may rents another space just for the heck of it. That is how rare Jessicas service is. The spaces at this facility are some of the best I have seen. The price to size ratio make these units the best in the industry. How many places can you get a 5wx10lx8h for $76 a month? Nowhere!!!!!!!

There are 3 names that exude excellent customer service- Jazzy, Rohal, and Starr. I came in for a storage unite about 3 months ago and was helped by Jazzy and Rohal. It was a very hectic time for me but I was relieved by the professionalism and warmth I received. I was truly impressed with their knowledge and willingness to help. About 2 months after I got my room my brother told me he needed one also. Of course without hesitation I suggested Public Storage and told him what a great experience I have had. This time when we came to look at rooms we were helped by Starr, another exemplary employee. She listened to our needs and did everything she could to accommodate. She even cared enough to find us units not only on the same floor but directly across from each other! You cant ask for anything more. Overall Public Storage on Gerard is very clean and has an amazing staff. Im so happy I found them! Thanks Guys! :-)

When I moved into this facility 1.5 years ago I gave them 5 stars. They ask people to leave reviews on google when moving in, which is why you see all these 5 star reviews. 1.5 years later I am changing 5 starts to 1 star. They will raise prices on your storage unit at random. Mine went up 40% in 1.5 years. They do it incrementally in chunks of 10%, so that you are tempted to stay, even though eventually you end up paying way more than what you initially agreed to. Just google "public storage fee increase" to see all the real reviews from customers who have experience dealing with this place. I had a balance of $25 remaining when moving out of storage. This was for a bounced payment. The only one in 1.5 years. I was told there was no way to waive it and that it would go to collection if I didnt pay it immediately. Absolutely terrible place.
