Im a loyal Firestone customer with the Firestone credit card and Ive paid to get lifetime wheel alignment for all Firestones across the country. As a military brat, Ive used many Firestones in this nation and theyve usually served me and my vehicle well. Unfortunately, this Firestone is making me rethink my customer loyalty. Ive gone THREE (3) times to this location, a 30 minute drive from my apartment, to get my check engine light looked at. Ive been turned away all three times for the following reasons: 1. They could look at whats wrong, but the possibility of the problem getting fixed that day is slim because of how busy they are (Sunday) 2. The employee whos in charge of checking the engine light problems isnt in that day (Wednesday) 3. That same employee didnt show up to work the following day (Thursday). They rescheduled me for Saturday since that employees day off is the Friday. Of course, before going in on Saturday Im going to have to call again and make sure the ONE (1) employee who checks problems with check engine lights will be there because who knows if hell show up and apparently no one else in their entire establishment can work on a car with its check engine light on. I find extremely frustrating, confusing, and unprofessional that a country-wide-known auto repair company based in one of the biggest counties in the United States only has a single employee whos qualified to check vehicles with their check engine light on and that that same employee decides to show up to work whenever he/she wants to. Its pretty ridiculous. Taking your car in to get worked on is inconvenience enough. My customer loyalty with Firestone has dwindled and I will limit my visits to the yearly car inspections New York State requires.

if I could rate it a zero star I would...absolutely horrible service, very unfriendly, tried to scam me into paying for a bunch of stuff... From my last visit (which was also my first, and it will be my last), i went in for a an alignment, my car went in the back for like over an hour and they came back out saying that the back was not adjustable...well in fact the back two wheels are a little tricky and they arent the first place to say that they cant do it, But that isnt because its not adjustable, it is just that they dont know how. So after they wasted hours of my time, they came out and tried to charge me for items that i never asked for, they said they rotated my tires...facepalm....I never ask for my tires to be rotated at the first place..they tried to scam me by saying how it is done along with doing an alignment...comeon man the customer pays for the customer asks for to be done...they have no right to do anything beyond that on their own and let alone try to charge you for what you never asked for... This is written months after the incident because I have been so busy with other aspects of life, but yet i so vividly remember this til this day how horrible that experience was. Literally a waste of over 2 hours total, dealing with very dishonest individuals. This is absolutely one of the most unethical business practice i have come across, so much that Id write this review months after it happened... PS. for the alignment that they spent hours on then telling me it was not possible. I later went to intrack tires in queens, bunch of professionals there, got my 4 wheels aligned done in less than 30 mins. good luck!

Twice Ive taken my car into this place for a tire rotation and asked to have them check something else while they were at it, and TWICE Ive had to remind them after Ive been called to pick it up to do it--then had to wait while they did it. Each time they found something that SUPPOSEDLY needed fixed and quoted me an exorbitant price, which I had repaired elsewhere for about 2/3 that. First off, I only take my car there in the first place because I bought my tires at a Tires Plus in Atlanta, and up here in NY the only places that honor the free rotation and balancing in Firestone. Second, the SECOND time I took the car in, about a month ago, to have the tires rotated and had to remind them at the end to drive it around the block to find out what the rattling was, they said my struts were leaking and I had a cracked transmission mount. I had the struts replaced elsewhere (have another review on that, believe me!), which didnt solve the noise problem....turned out it was the stabilizer bar links. So now the car runs nice and quiet again, but no thanks to this place. Granted, I had 125k miles on an original set of struts, so it was way past time to do those anyway, but still, they isolated the wrong problem; cant give them a higher rating because of that.

What a bunch of crooks. When the engine started misfiring, I first took my 1998 Toyota RAV4 to Firestone in Crown Heights; after I paid a non-refundable $100 diagnostic fee, I was told the total bill would be $883. Seeking a second opinion, I then went to Urban Classics in DUMBO; they were able to fix the problem for $130. It turned out Firestone wanted to sell me a bunch of ignition parts and a premium tuneup that I didnt need. UGS identified the problem (bad spark plug wire) and only fixed what needed to be fixed. They identified parts that were looking worn and might need repairs down the road, but they didnt put any pressure on me to spend more money. Incredibly, none of those potential problem parts matched the ones that Firestone wanted to replace for $800; to me, this just shows how crooked the Firestone shop was. My RAV4 is running great; the guys at UCS are honest and really know what they are doing. I cant say the same for Firestone.

I have taken my car in for break pads and what I thought were new rotors. They advertise full break service for 89.99 each side which is a great price for both turns out that the price was only for the pads and to trim down the rotors. I use a mechanic that charges me half that price. I can not complain about the service It is not as terrible as others have posted on here. However I wish I knew that was the cost before hand it would have been good to know. I am giving them 4 stars because they offer lifetime pad and shoe replacement so lets see, once the break pads get worn out if they refuse to replace the pads I will change the review to one star,

I hit a pot hole on Kings Highway late last night and my right front tire immediately deflated. They were the Run Flat Bridgestone OEM tires for Toyota. Car only has 4k miles on it. I took it to this location first thing this morning and after calling and making sure they had the tire in stock. They looked at it for free and determined the tire indeed needed to be replaced due to the size of the puncture. Since the tires were so knew, they recommended NOT replacing both front tires (as you usually do). They had it fixed and ready to go within two hours. Very helpful and professional.

Very sketchy! When I asked them to put a patch on my tire, it took them 2 hrs (though they said it would only take 45min initially). When i looked into the garage i saw that they had popped the hood of my car. When i asked them why, they gave me a bullshit response about a complimentary inspection. Bullshit. I asked for a patch, not someone to go poking around in the engine. I know some places will mess up your car so you have to get it fixed. They also charged me over 20 bucks for a simple patch. I will never go there again. Awful. BE CAREFUL OF THIS PLACE.
