I think its time this place get a real review. I took my vehicle for a AC diagnostic and AC recharge after I replace my condenser, orphis tube, receiver drier and vacuum my system to make sure I had no leaks which I didnt. When I brung it to them I let them know about the work I did and what I want it so they check the work then filled my system. After the mechanic told me my system was still not blowing cold and it could be an electrical issue my compressor or sensors I told them how my compressor was 4 years old and my AC was working before my condenser started leaking the guy insisted it was my AC compressor so I allowed them to replace it because I didnt have the time a week later they told me they replaced a compressor the first time but that one blew/was faulty so they had to replace it again 4 days later I get a call from Rodger the gentleman who works in a front desk telling me its still blowing hot air and they want to figure out the problem but wont be charging me if they cant figure it out no one can three weeks later they still had my truck telling me its still blowing hot air after they assured me after they replace the compressor this would solve the issue after getting frustrated I contacted Aamco corporate office they contacted them and they released my vehicle to me when I got my car back not only did I have zero gas after bring it to them with my tank at least three quarters full but my flange was missing on my engine and my amplifier for my radio system wasnt even connected to my battery anymore the fuse was just hanging I called them frustrated and they tried to tell me how they never touched the battery ,but they had to take apart the system to figure out the problem and the only way they can do that is by removing the battery as well as the time in my car being completely reset was a dead giveaway I went back and they reinstalled my flange and the fuse terminal for my amplifier back to my battery mind you the mechanic is complaining while hes doing it telling me he never touched it Once I left I took my truck to Pep Boys for a diagnostic Pep Boys told me how they could not figure out the issue because my system has leaks everywhere. I called Rodger up which was one of the customer reps at that location complaining about my system now not being sealed the way it was when I brung it to him He asks the mechanic if he tightened up my system I can hear the guy in the background say yes then I complain saying how my system was sealed when I gave it to them and now its not he tells me how Pep Boys must be lying I get frustrated and tell him I will put a vacuum on myself and see I did it today and looks like Pep Boys was not lying I have leaks everywhere it looks like they took the system impart and gave up on it these people are very unprofessional and inexperienced when it comes to AC systems I dont understand it. process of elimination should have clearly located my issue not to mention they have my truck for almost 3 weeks I guess the good thing is I got a free compressor out of it even though the one I had was never malfunctioning do not go here for AC systems they will just give you the runaround if they cant figure it out

My car (a Honda) was out of warranty, finally, and I was very eager to find a place that treated my car (and myself) with respect. I had bad Experiences in the past - so, I scoured the Internet in search of a repair shop to get brakes and I knew I would very soon need an oil change and an inspection. AAMCO on Richmond Road seemed to meet all these criteria. Joe had made my appointment over the phone and Roger greeted me and my car. Roger and Joe were EXTREMELY professional gentlemen. I overheard Roger speaking politely in Spanish to another woman. She was very happy that he was able to communicate with her and that made me happy - because he seemed so genuine. Rogher, then, in English, explained my brakes issue to me and answered my questions completely. I dont mind spending money on my car - I just want it done right. This definitely was! You now have a life long customer based on the customer service experience as well as the great job on my car.

This place helped me out when I was in a tight spot. I was moving to the area, drove a few hours to SI to drop a car load of stuff off before heading a few hours back to work the next day. As I parked in SI my car broke down, the result of previously poor work by another mechanic in PA. It was a few hours before closing time and I called AAMCO and told them my problem and that I had to get home to PA that night. They told me to get in asap and they got right to work on my car even offering to stay late if they had to. They were able to get the parts in they needed and fix my car in time. They even tried to get the price down for me if I could wait till the next day, but I couldnt, still I appreciated the offer. The mechanic walked me through what was wrong with my car and exactly what they were doing. Very kind and helpful! I will definitely be going here from now on!!!

Ive only had work done once at this facility but intend to do business here again. I had to have my timing belt replaced on my 2003 santa fe and Roger was able to identify some other necessary work that had to be done like having the tensioners and water pump replaced. Ill be honest- I was apprehensive and thought they were just trying to jack the prices on me so I went home and researched it and found that Roger was right!! Everywhere I looked it up online, it was recommended these components be replaced with the timing belt. Meanwhile, other places Id gotten quotes from, didnt even mention this was necessary, probably because they wanted to keep the quote down and avoid scaring me off. But Roger was honest despite that and I really appreciate that sort of honesty when I do business with someone. Will be doing my business here in the future.

After my old mechanic had closed up shop (literally), the universe intervened and I got a card in the mail from AAMCO on Richmond Rd. They are located right by the bridge, very convenient for Brooklyn folk, such as myself. I called ahead and spoke to Joe who told me to "come right in." His personality was so warm and welcoming. NOT what I was used to from a mechanic but hey - Ill take it! I needed a few things for my car - its an 2012 Accord FYI. Joe recommended struts and a wheel alignment. I cannot believe how straight my car drove after this service. I drive with my child in the car and NOTHINGGGG is more important than safety. I feel much more safe now so thanks to Joe and Roger. Pro Tip/ tl:dr: great place, easy to get appointments for oil changes and inspections
