Every car manufacturer has several dealerships around the tri-state area but certain distinctive qualities such as customer service, price, friendliness, professionalism, overall quality of service and so on set each dealer apart from the next one. Acura of Westchester is indisputably the best dealer in the tri-state area, hands down!! There are no arguments about that. I had previously applied for a car loan through my credit union. They turned me down despite the fact that I joined the union last year and borrowed 1500 bucks, which I paid back to establish my credibility with them. But I went to Acura of Westchester on 10/15/2014. I got approved two days later for the car that I was looking to purchase. Then picked up my car on 10/20/14. There werent any unnecessary protocols with the whole process. My experience was indescribably fantastic. My salesman, Matt was very patient with me, giving me time without pressure to decide on the color of the car that I wanted. As if that wasnt enough demonstrating his level of patience while dealing with me professionally, but afterwards, he introduced me to the finance manager, Alex J. Piccirillo, who sat down with me and took his time to explain to me what I was qualified for. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised, as I never anticipated that I would be approved. In any case, my man Alex worked painstakingly and tirelessly to get me approved for the Acura MDX in which I was interested. From the first day I walked into this dealership, Acura of Westchester, the staff treated me nicely and professionally with utmost respect. I left the dealership, singing a lovely new song that the folks at Acura of Westchester are miracle workers and I love them all. Special thanks to my salesman, Matt and much more to my finance guy, Alex J. Piccirillo. You guys totally rock and perform wonders. I am still speechless even as I am writing this review and cant believe Im driving my dream car. So, If you are in the market for a car by an Acura brand, visit the Acura of Westchester first before going to waste your time at other dealerships that are desperately interested in the profit they will make without placing emphasis on customer satisfaction. Henceforth, Acura of Westchester will now be my dealership for life. I wont go to any other dealership whether for sales or for service. Acura of Westchester has no match or competition...this is the best Acura dealer in the tri-state area, period. Note: this review is coming from someone who had been turned down for a car loan a couple times in the past. Special thanks and with much gratitude to my two finest men Matt and Alex from Peter!!!

DO NOT SIGN ANY FINAL PAPERWORK UNTIL YOU SEE YOUR CAR! I am still kicking myself for being so trusting. We live in Manhattan so I take our present MDX to Paragon for service and recalls since it is a few subway stops away. I dislike the atmosphere there but need the convenience. I traveled to Acura of Westchester to find better customer service. We just spent two days up there trying to find a 2014 Certified Preowned(CPO) MDX. We ignored several red flags that should have told me they are just like every other used car dealer. We finally found a CPO MDX that we liked but thought the tires were too worn. The salesman told me that these tires would never pass the rigorous CPO inspection and I would be getting new ones. "What kind?" I asked. "Either Continental Cross Contact or Michelin Latitude, whatever we have in stock right now." I like both of those tires so that sealed the deal. Very excited, The car is getting new tires, the CPO 182 point inspection, detailing, roof rack, etc... Would be ready Friday 1pm Red Flag- They picked me up at the train station off a 2:30 train with some other car. Why not mine?? "Yours is getting the final white glove treatment." I arrive, sign a stack of paperwork and they finally bring my car up. With the same worn tires sprayed with tire black!! Did they not think i would notice? I could see from 30 feet away they were used tires. He tried to convince me they were new and then finally admitted they came off another car but were "newer" than the previous ones. I told him new tires or no deal. He said we cant do that. I said deal off, lets go void all the paperwork. Of course now I had to go see Big Tony the sales manager who said they were already losing money on the deal, I wish I could, yadda, yadda... Big Tony said I could walk the lot, find a used car with nice (used) tires and they would swap them out to my car. I just laughed and said no thank you. Big Tony then offered to take the tires off his personal MDX which he said were "almost" new and put them on mine. No Thank you. It took about 2 hours to undo all the signed documents and get our deposit back. Big Tony was not nearly as friendly as when I first walked in. I learned a big lesson today, all used car dealers are the same!

VERY VERY POOR SERVICE. My warranty is ending in a month and I brought my car into Acura of Westchester to fix the rattle on the right front side of my 2007 MDX. The car war perfect until Acura of Westchester completed a B2 service in March. They said all was good to go but needed to replace the front stabilizer. The rattle began and 3 visits later even with a technician hearing the problem, the problem still exists. I decided to go in to Acura of Westchester to talk to the service manager ... in a meeting ... assistant service manager is not available ... general manager ... in a meeting. I knocked on the meeting door after the secretary paged everyone in the building several times. You would think someone would step out of the meeting to help a customer. The general manager asked me what was wrong and I said I need help with my car that after 3 visits was not fixed and my warranty is ending soon. He said he was in a meeting with corporate executives and that someone outside can help me. I said no one is here outside to help me and I wanted to talk to someone above a service consultant. He asked me if I bought the car here, was it serviced here, etc. I asked him why this mattered, my car has been here 3 times while the same problem still remains and what do I do if you can not fix it before my warranty expires. He said that he will throw me off the premises with my attitude. I said all I wanted was my car fixed and some real help. He dumped me to a service consultant once again. I will update this post to let you know how the 4th attempt goes. **** Unfortunately, Ken Hicks, the general manager at Acura of Westchester, solves problems with loyal Acura customers by denying to service their car that has a recurring problem.

Bottom line up front: incompetence and poor communication led to my car being given back in an unsafe condition that had to be fixed by another dealership. I was having a shifting issue with my 2012 MDX. I brought it in and saw Chris Colucci. They had a hard time reproducing the issue, and basically told me they disconnected the paddle shifters and gave it back to me to drive. If the problem didnt persist, they offered to just keep them unplugged. I refused to have my car with parts just disconnected, so they replaced the paddle shifters as an act of good faith. All of this was over the course of over a month. I would leave messages and send emails with no response. I had to hunt Chris down to get any kind of answers and he seemed unconcerned the whole time about the issue. Since the problem persisted I took it to another dealership who obviously did much more due diligence to diagnose the problem. They were able to reproduce the issue and diagnose it. Furthermore they told me the paddle shifters are part of the Supplemental Restraint System (the airbag system) and it would be severely negligent to simply disconnect them. They actually would not give it back until everything was properly connected. I dont know if it was incompetence or negligence, but either way, paired with poor communication, it just isnt worth the headache and potential danger. Had much better luck at Acura of Brooklyn.
