I have had a unit at this location for almost 3 years. Great place except the hours suck and they close every holiday. Its clean inside. I often have to go there to take things out and put things in the damn motion sensors lights piss me off they turnoff often and you have to walk to the other side to turn them back on. I dont remember the names of the staff but the young guy who helped me when I first rented was excellent he explained everything to me throughly. Then theres this West Indian worker he rubs me the wrong way I just dont like him except he also does his job. I just try my best to avoid him. Now they have a lady and she is on point. If I call and leave a message she calls me right back. Any questions she answered and she doesnt rub me the wrong way. Her energy is positive. I hope she makes management. Cause the other one had got to go. Now the location floods so yes they have to make you pay insurance and you only get 5,000 if property is damaged not good enough but oh well what the hell I need the location. The online payment emails are always late or never sent. I have taken to just paying my bill every three months cause after three months the auction your stuff. The bathroom is often funcky yet you can tell the staff cleans it so customers are the ones messing it up. Bottom line rent from this place, nothing special about it. I just know that its better than some of the ones I looked at before renting here. They just need longer hours. Oh and there is no such thing as any months free you still have to pay something anywhere you go. Mt Vernon has other storage companies this one just has better policies and the insurance gives me piece of mind

This was my 1st time using Extra Space Storage. After selecting a convenient location, reading the reviews and comparing the competition I decided on this location. Upon entering Aston greeted us with a smile, after checking our reservation he took us up to view the unit and let us know if we didnt like now would be the time to change. Thankfully enough this is what we needed because the unit we selected was not big enough. So then per Astons recommendation we looked at two larger units and decided on the 10x10. Aston might have been doing his job, however perception is everything and his delivery was excellent. We came back down and he throughly went through all the details and paper work to make sure we were clear on everything. We were able to quickly get to unloading our belongings in a timely manner. I’ve been renting space here since April 2014. The staff--Durrell, Aston & Jonathan--are the best...cheerful, helpful, and very nice. The facility is clean, well-lit and secure--you need a code to get in. It’s convenient for anyone who doesn’t have a car--just 2 blocks from the Beeline Bus #7 stop and the Mount Vernon West station on Metro-North’s Harlem line. Their storage rates were the cheapest I could find in lower Westchester. If you need a larger unit than you started with--as happened to me, twice--theyll help you figure it out. Renting at Extra Space Storage helped make my apartment livable again! One thing to keep in mind...the access hours are generally good--8am to 7pm, Monday through Saturday--but they do close early on Sundays, at 4pm. Aside from that, 5 stars!

A wonderful solution to all of your storage concerns. This place is well-lit, clean and 100% safe. If you have a question, these guys have the answer, THE CORRECT ANSWER! The place is run by three of the most knowledgeable people I have ever met in the world of storage. The store manager Durrell is positive and upbeat and goes the EXTRA MILE for you. The two store assistant managers, Jonathan and Aston, are excellent second-in-commands and are a pleasure to deal with. They all listen to you and your questions and needs and they come up with the best storage option for you! I highly recommend Extra Space Storage on 30 North West Street in Mount Vernon New York. Give these guys a call, you will not be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used the Extra Space Storage on N. Mac Questen Pkwy. in Mount Vernon, NY. The facility was very clean, staff was very friendly and accomodating. They had a great promotion going where the 1st month was a $1 (which was very reasonable). My only complaint is...I needed 24/7 access to my unit (to pick up and drop off equipment as needed). I only needed to 5x5 room, but had to upgrade to 10x10 (or larger, I dont recall) in order to get the access I needed. This was fine for the first month; after the 1st month it would cost about $350 per month for the storage. I would use this place again if I only need a smaller storage room & dont need 24/7 access.

I am so excited to share my experience with the world that took place at Extra Space Storage located at 30 North West Street in Mt. Vernon. I needed to rent a space to house some furniture as I am traveling across the world for work. Upon entering the store I encountered a warm welcome by an employee, I believe his name was Aston. He was very friendly, informative and offered helpful suggestions for my storage needs, as well, I found the rates were quite affordable. In the end I felt confident and secure to rent a space for my valuable belongings. Thank you Extra Space for the wonderful service and a memorable experience.

Very convenient location! The most important note to annotate here is the service. The assistant manager of the property, Ashton Welch was very kind, knowledgeable and very honest, overall--great guy! He gave me the best rate available for that day and also showed me the best unit for my preference. He is the best manager I have ever dealt with regarding on-site storage. Im very happy that I choose this location as it is not only near the Metro-North Fleetwood train station, but the service being 5 stars--I could have not made a better decision. Thank You! Michael

Durrell was awesome. The customer service was impeccable. The facility is clean and well lit. I live in Queens NY, and a friend who has a unit at this location recommended this location, and I was sold. I feel secure knowing that my items are being protected and stored at ExtraSpace Mt Vernon. I visited many storage units, and I am happy with the choice I made. I couldnt ask for a better first experience here at Mt. Vernon. Thank you ExtraSpace storage. The prices were competitive, and reasonable. Will recommend to all my friends and family.

Great place to store your goods and all your things. I looked online for a storage unit before I moved in and when I came to sign up the description was just as they said it was online. The unit is clean and spacious along with the environment is also clean.The people are also friendly and is always here to help you. I never had a problem with my locker. They are very courteous when it comes to payment. I actually use the online telephone app to pay my bill, it works great for me and I never had any issues. Overall 6 stars

I was in need of a storage unit that was reasonable in price and very spacious. I went to a storage in Yonkers first and the storage was "ok". I wanted to explore my options and decided to visit Extra Space Storage in Mt.Vernon. Fortunately this storage was very close to home. A gentleman named Aston assisted me. He was very friendly and extremely polite. I ended up purchasing a bigger storage with a more reasonable price then the storage I previously visited. Aston was Great and Im glad I came to Extra Space Storage !!!!
