Avoid this place! When a tire blew out on my car, my insurance company had my car towed to Action Towing. In addition to the tire, Action Towing recommended a brake job and replacing the oil pan gasket. I had not had any issues with oil leaks or my brakes, but I went ahead with it and it was very expensive (close to $900). Shortly after leaving Action Towing, my car smelled like burning and started dripping oil when I left it in the driveway. This was diagnosed as a likely oil pan leak by two other garages. When I returned to Action Towing to have this fixed, they looked at my car and claimed that there was no oil pan leak-despite the opinion of the two other garages and the oil left in the driveway! Action towing ripped me off by charging me a lot of money for unnecessary and shoddy workmanship. Now I am left with the choice of driving around in a car that smells like burning oil or paying a couple hundred dollars to have the work redone by someone else. They also charged me twice for my NYS inspection, and they told me I needed new rotors when I had no issue braking and no noise from braking. If youve been ripped off by Action Towing, you should file complaints with both the Better Business Bureau and the DMV.

Of course I have a Ford so I spend a lot of time at local Rochester car garages..... My little over priced shitsmobile recently started shaking. And when I say shaking I mean like jolting back and fourth. Very unpleasant. So I finally took it to a car garage near Fairport and I had 3 broken moter mounts a loose barring and I needed a tune up ... can we say money. So after that MY CAR STILL SHAKES!! I was so mad but I found action towing and they treated me so kindly. its a 75 dollar diagnostic fee and they literally spent 4-8 hours trying to figure out what was wrong with my car. Lance was so nice he jumped through a lot of hoops to try and help me out. they couldnt figure out the problem so he ended up not charging me for the time and diagnosis and he also gave me a ride from my work to my car! I cant blame him for not figuring out this problem. I have been to 5 garages and no one can figure it out. I have spent a lot of money trying. But Ford says that its common with my model of car Ford Focus 2008 and there was really nothing they could do about it either besides put spacers in and charge me 600+ dollars. the guy than said that it doesnt take away the shaking either it just lessons it.

Do not use!! I am really upset now. I pulled into a small ditch and could not get out. It was muddy but it was snowing. I called my roadside assistance and they dispatched this company. After 40 minutes or so I truck drove up to the gas station accross the street and then left. I received a call from my insurance telling me that they cant help me out cause the side road was not plowed. Realistically it was a paved road with a trace of snow. So I called and asked why they didnt help me that I had my daughter and it wasnt that bad. I was told too bad they cant help. Meanwhile a young guy in a tow truck stops by and asks me what happened. He works for 12 corners towing. I explain to him and he offers to pull me out for free. It took him 2 minutes and I was free. I tipped him for his help and tomorrow Im going to see if they can get paid for the service since they do work with my insurance. What bothered me the most was this company did not even come by to assess the situation and just left. I was three feet from a paved road. Nice work fellas I hope you like my review. Thank you 12 corners towing for your help.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Shady and Sheisty. They did shoddy work and then refused to do the right thing. And they were overpriced. I was in from out of town and my car was towed to this mechanic. They fixed a problem, but put something on BACKWARDS in the process. This fact wasnt discovered until the car hit the highway (it had NO acceleration power) and the garage was closed (Sunday afternoon). The car was still drivable and due to a family emergency, we drove it 250 miles home, and when I contacted the garage on Monday, they told me I would need to bring the car back to them, even though it was 250 miles away. They refused any other option. I understand having policies, but come on. The right thing to do would have been to set up an agreement with a local garage in my area for me to get the car fixed. I too, will be filing with Better Business Bureau and AAA. What kind of mechanic doesnt have a system of checks in place to be sure that things arent put on backwards before you give the automobile back to its owner???

We called Action towing on 4/1/17. Was quoted an estimated time of 90 minutes. After waiting 2 hours we contacted the dispatcher to get an update. He shared that they were extremely busy and that we would need to wait another 30-45 minutes. After questioning the delay further, the dispatcher told us he was no longer interested in towing our truck and hung up on us. On repeated attempts to contact the company, the dispatcher dropped our calls. I understand that things can get busy, however the situation was handled extremely poorly, and with tremendous disrespect for a waiting customer. Ive never been treated so poorly by any service oriented business. I hope that this is not a reflection on the entire company, however the individual working when we needed assistance did an extremely poor job of representing Action auto. We will be using another towing service moving forward.

By far one of the worst towing experience I have ever had. They picked up my vehicle and it had to be taken to buffalo to be repaired due to some engine issues. I specifically asked that they bring ramps as the car is low and would be needed to load the car to the flat bed. Apparently this was never done. When my car showed up to the shop to have it repaired, they called to tell me that the front end was damaged. Bumper cover was broken among other damage. It certainly wasnt broken before the tow. Of course they adamantly denied any wrong doing and refused to address any damages. The owner Craig Camp is a complete waste of air and has a really bad attitude. I was able to get my issues worked out with AAA, which called for the tow. But, I would not under any circumstances deal with Action Towing ever again.
