Rating: Exceptional/ Reliable/ Trustworthy service This place does honest work. Both Dave and Bruce (D&B) are very helpful and knowledgeable about cars. They wont do any necessary work to just do work, rather they try and make sure the work needs to be done on your car before billing you for it. Another mechanic before told me I needed to replace my timing belt in the next 5000 miles, whereas Bruce looked up the manufacturer recommended replacement mileage and told me I had another 30,000 miles before I needed the work. Rather than telling you your car needs work and doing it prematurely just to get billable work, and if you dont know enough about cars you will likely believe your mechanic, D&B will tell you what you really need. They go by the mechanic handbook supplied by the car manufacturers as a reference rather than pulling numbers out of the air. If youre in the South Wedge area, this place is even more convenient because you can drop off your car and walk home. Then walk back to pick up your car. Definitely give them a try if you think your mechanic is not working out or just need a second opinion. Ive been using D&B for a few years now, since 2010, and my friend who recommended D&B has been using him for 10+ years. These guys are great! Make sure to call to make an appointment, these guys get busy due to good word of mouth :)

This is an excellent shop. If nothing is wrong with your vehicle, they dont charge you! We had old gas in a vehicle, which was causing emission problems when we took it to a shop. One shop wanted to charge $2400 to fix it. We took it to D&Bs and they said to put some high octane gas in it, drive it over the weekend then come back and recheck it. The emission problems went away. This was two years ago and the car still runs fine. They didnt charge us. Recently, a check engine light came on, I took it in and they said that it was the gas cap not being on tight enough. They tightened it and didnt charge. This has happened a few times. You can trust them.

I rely on D and B heavily. Both Dave and Bruce are incredibly nice and they never do work that isnt necessary. There have been multiple times that they have fixed minor problems (lights, fluids, etc) and not even charged me. Ive trusted them with my volvo and ford truck for years and I refer everyone that I can to them. It gives me great peace of mind to know that I have a mechanic that I can completely trust.

These guys are simply wonderful! Ive taken my car to them twice now and they have been nothing but honest gentlemen! Ive had my gas line patched and a rear door issue resolved, both in a very timely manner, both same day in fact! If I could give this establishment 100 stars I would! Highly recommended
