I read the reviews before I set up service with Time Warner and I wouldve went with a different provider if I could but theres no one else that covers my area to my knowledge. After hearing about them I thought some of the headache Im having now could have been avoided or mitigated but I guess not...Lol. I set up service to be installed on the 8th, cable and internet with an appointment today (the 10th of June) to install everything between 8-9am. I called yesterday after discussing it over with my wife that we were gonna cancel the install of the cable and just go with internet since all we use is Netflix and streaming HBO. Now let me tell you, whoever it was that I spoke to yesterday completely f**ked me. I called to nix the cable and get refunded the 60$ down for the first month of cable I wasnt going to be using... what I actually got was put on hold for over 40min multiple times, argued with on why I should keep the cable, and quoted several different prices for the same internet package from different reps (standard 15mbs) from 35$ (because I have my own modem) all the way to 109$ (Because they had to charge me extra since I was cancelling my cable) and several different prices in between. The end result? They gave me the standard internet package for 57$ and said in a month or two it would increase from 15mbs to 50mbs. So here I am, its the day theyre scheduled to come and I call to see if theyre going to be here soon... Well.... Theyre not coming... i just found out that the reps i spoke with yesterday cancelled my appointment today, didnt refund me the extra money for the cable, and didnt change anything except for closing out my account i just set up. They deserve one star because the rep i just spoke with was nice enough to give me a reference number to make sure i get all my money back (158$) and 20mbps (turbo package) internet for 45$ a month and a free install on Sunday. Still pissed i have to wait longer to watch GOT episodes i missed lol

Worst Service Provider I have ever encountered (and I have lived all over)! Time Warner Cable is a very large corporation who knows they have a monopoly in this area and don’t care what you think or about your concerns because if you don’t use them, they know others will. If there was another cable company up here who provided just subpar customer service and an okay service connection, TWC would be scrambling over the amount of people that can’t wait to drop them. I have had so many issues with cancelling our service and going to DirecTV. The bills are all messed up. We have called over 4 times in the last two months and some people tell us we owe nothing, some say that TWC has a credit on our account, and recently we have a new bill for 120.00 for services we cancelled on the phone and in person at TWC in Watertown, NY offices (where we also dropped off our boxes and remotes). We asked them in person if we were good on our account and they said yes. Now to our surprise today our internet was shut off and we have to pay a bill just to get back online for our business. Tomorrow I will be taking time off my schedule to personally go into the office, again, to figure this out, again. My suggestion is don’t do it. Check out other companies before you get sucked into the disorganization and lack of communication known as Time Warner Cable. And no one gives Time Warner Cable 5 stars, looks like TWC found an employee to boost their score by signing into google and giving a rating, Kyle Hendrix. You can’t pay me to go back to TWC, I guess they could pay me to use DirecTV and just keep their stuff unplugged. Customer Service is AWEFUL! They don’t care about your satisfaction because if they did there would be an option at the end of their service call center to give a customer survey and they don’t have that, you wonder why.

Would be a perfectly acceptable if slightly over priced ISP if they could just get their customer service and technical department on the same page. Signed up for Internet that I had already had in my home before and was told it would be 2 days until I had internet. They have already installed all the required cables so all I need is for a tech guy to come and flip a switch in the box on the side of my house (as if it wasnt the 21st century and the technology isnt available to do this remotely). The 2 days came and went and I go back in and they tell me it will now be 5 which is also fine. 5 days come and go and still no internet, and calling the local office still connects you to their absolutely atrocious national customer service line. In order to speak to a human being you actually have to drive to the office yourself. But by this point its the weekend and they are closed so now Ill have to wait even more time to get answers as to when I will have my service, they wont actually be able to help me since the customer service agents have no actual power and cant really contact the tech guys to figure out why they keep missing their appointments. And all this would be fine if they would have just given me an honest estimate from the beginning so I would be aware and could plan for it. And Im sure that they are going to try and charge me from the day I signed up rather then the actual date I started receiving service. Could so easily be fixed, its absolutely pathetic. A mediocrum of common sense in how they handle orders and in company dialogue.

If I could give this less than one star I would. My mother and I moved to the area 2 weeks ago. We ordered the service and for basic Internet were paying 60 dollars. They said they would mail a modem out to us and there was no need for a service tech because it was a quick and easy installation. It wasnt. The modem got to the house a day early and we followed the directions. Took it out of the box, attached the coaxial cables and plugged it in. The online light never came on. I called TWC no less than 5 times while trying to set this up. I was transferred multiple times to people who asked me to go through the same steps over and over and then said well well have to check the tower to make sure its on but no one ever actually said whether or not it even was on. Finally we just asked to cancel the service and we were transferred again, this time instead of offering to send someone out 4 days later they said they would be sending someone out that same day and that they would call back to confirm. No one ever called so right now I am on my way to take the modem back to the watertown location and be done with them. Honestly Ive had bad customer service experiences with Internet people before but this was unusually awful. Dont get TWC, its not worth the time you spend on the phone telling them you have tried all the cables and outlets available to you and no it still isnt working nor is it worth the stress. It shouldnt be this hard just to get internet.
