I am so glad I found my/your computer friends... I would like to share my experience with you in regards to this company. I was having trouble with my computer being way to slow. One of the big name office supply stores that starts with a (S) was having a free PC check-up so I took it in. I was informed that I needed more memory I agreed and purchased the 2 gigs they recommended and paid for them to install it. he said I could pick it up at 4:00. At 4:00 the tech called and said they couldnt get the computer to accept the memory and that they had called Dell and Dell told them I needed to order it from them. The tech told me to order it and they would install it for free. I ordered it from Dell and it took me 6 days to get it. My husband took my computer and the memory back to the store and waited to get it installed. While attempting to install it an error came up and the tech said our computer had a virus and would not accept the memory and that he would have to research and find out which virus it was. My husband said ok and started to leave, the tech said wait, you have to pay $89.00 for me to find the virus. My husband paid the $89.00 and came home. I told my him to go right back to the store and get my computer and my $89.00 back, I know it cant have a virus because I have software that checks my computer every night and and tells me (no virus found) and if it had a virus why didnt they see that when they did the free PC check-up 6 days earlier ... The next morning I googled for computer repair shops and after considering 2 others I chose "Your Computer Friends" I called and spoke to Susan (the owner)and explained my problem, she told me to bring my computer and memory in and they would do a free computer check to find out if there were and problems. Susan called me back within 2 hours and said the computer was ready to be picked-up, they installed the memory...there was no virus and the total charge was $19.00. I highly recommend this company and will tell everyone I know what a great experience I had with them.

There are almost no words to describe the amazing service I received at Your Computer Friends. As someone who is completely out of her comfort zone when dealing with computers, I was very intimidated to take my work laptop in and hand it over to another stranger, having had no luck with the first repair company I used. However, from the moment I walked in and met Susan I knew I was in good hands. Not fluent in computer speak, I did my best to explain what my concerns were. She explained the course of action to me in plain English (and helpful analogies), and for the first time in four days I didnt feel panicked. And although the job was much more extensive than originally thought, Susan and her staff worked on it until the job was done thoroughly- even to the point of staying after hours to work on it. After taking my computer home, YCF continued to make themselves available to me, showing great patience in addressing any lingering concerns/paranoia on my part. The customer service I received was unparalleled, as the staff of Your Computer Friends made the absolute best of a bad situation for a very nervous computer user. I am definitely a customer for life.

My situation was such a cliché! Dropped my laptop on a tile floor, had key documents on it, no recent back up. I was waiting at the door when Susan Kadar, owner and optimist extraordinaire, arrived. I was encouraged by Susans optimism and I was VERY lucky. Within a few minutes I was able to get at the most urgently needed document and by the end of the day I also had a repaired computer at a very reasonable price. Even better I signed up for the Cloud Storage plan and plan to sign up for a similar program for our desktop. Big wake up call: we are so reliant on our technology but we havent yet figured out how to take proper care of it. Computer Friends fills that gap at very reasonable prices. They are Panic Busters and super competent ones at that.

I took a Dell PC that would not connect to my home wireless network (and in addition was endlessly slow in booting up) to Your Computer Friends in Wilmington and discussed the issues with Susan, the owner. She assigned the job to one of her techs, and the next day called me to say that the repairs had been made and that the PC was up and running. The charges for the work were surprisingly fair and the PC has been working like new. This is a customer-friendly, responsive, knowledgeable shop, the kind that we all hope to find in the PC repair business, but so often dont. I endorse them wholeheartedly and suggest that anyone with a broken PC or similar device give them a call.

Went in with an issue from downloading Windows 10 where I could no longer access the internet. Received a call telling me I would need a complete reload costing at least $200. Decided to just pick up the computer and back up my files and replace this 4 year old laptop. Stopped to pick up computer & was told they fixed the internet problem. Everything is working like before and Win 10 is too. Now I can learn win 10 on my old laptop and I can delay the expense of a new computer for a little while. Definitely a pleasant surprise. Thanks to the tech that just started fooling around & found the problem!

Fantastic service and knowledge. I have been using Susan and her team for years. They always do a GREAT job. I have dropped off machines, they have come to my office and they have also helped me remotely. I cannot say enough good things. They are always honest and have made recommendations based on my situation and budget. I am not computer savvy and have greatly appreciated their honestly. They are also very quick especially if I was in need of a fix for my business. I would recommend them without reservation.

Called with a computer problem. They had a tech out to my office within an hour. He fixed computer in about 15 minutes, then did a quick cleanup and check of the system. I was extremely impressed with the professional manner in which my case was handled. Being a small business, I cannot afford an IT guy on staff. Completely satisfied!! I went extremely worried that not only was my computer corrupted but also my IP (based on what the "Windows Support" guy said). Susan immediately knew what had happened, explained everything to me so that my "technologically challenged" brain could understand it, and assured me that they could fix my computer. They did! When I picked it up, she thoroughly explained the virus software they had installed and what to be on the lookout for. I highly recommend this company!
