I used this awful computer repair man because my laptop would not turn on. So he bought me a motherboard which in turn caused the computer to turn on. The problem is his workmanship. Yes, I can now turn the computer on and can see the screen but can not perform any work on the computer because I received tons of messages from whatever he was doing on the thing. He also fixed my sons laptop which had a cracked screen and he paid him over $200. the screen is no longer cracked but he cannot turn his laptop on. I did not give him any star but I had to give him one star to be able to post but I gave him 0 stars. He does exactly what the problem is and will not do anything further. He does not care in what shape the computer is when he returns it to you as long as the problem is fixed. He does not care about the customers, just takes your money and does not care if the computer is in good working order. Do not go to him. He is scattered brain and slow and does not care.

Avery fixed a Toshiba laptop for me that wouldnt charge. The charging port needed replacing. The repair with parts and labor was under $100 and fixed in a few days! I was very pleased. Update: A few months later I needed an monitor, quickly and cheap. A trip to Avery, there were a couple of used flat screen LCD monitors for well under $100. They were just what I needed! (P.S. Try getting a decent monitor for under $100 at the big box stores.) Update September 2016: I have a home PC network with a mix of computer operating systems and some legacy printers. It is a little more complicated than the average home set up. When I upgraded my internet connection and router, I needed help moving everything to the new router. Nothing was talking to each other and I couldnt figure out how to fix it! Avery PC to the rescue. Mr. Avery worked with me to get all my computers and printers talking to each other again. Very happy to have everything working again.

If there was a negative star, I would use it. When our computer would not charge any more, and we brought it to this company, he stated that it was the charging input and that he couldnt fix it. We then bought a new computer and asked him to transfer what was on our hard drive from our old computer to the new computer. After receiving the computer back, the pictures were not transferred, and neither were the videos. Of all the items most important to us, were those, because they were lifetime memories. There were also other items that were not transferred as well, and since he is now holding our computer hostage, we cannot access those. He performed services on the computer that we did not authorize him to do, and he charged us for those services. Because we refuse to pay, he will not return our computer. I would highly recommend never using these services.

I used this company to download content from a old computer to a new computer. My experience was horrible. Very slow and poor workmanship with a result that made me go to another IT firm to fix. Not only that but the owner fabricated work and attempted to charge me extra. When I refused to pay the fabricated amount, he would not give me back my old computer. I called the cops and have started legal preceedings. This is a horrible compamy in both performance and in integrity. I strongly recommend you do not use this business.

We have had the pleasure of working with Avery PC many times in the past for a variety of computer issues that have popped up. As far as computer repair is concerned, these guys are the best in Rochester....hands down!

They were able to fix my laptop after two other shops failed. Experience counts, I suppose!
